Based on the reviews, I went in with high expectations. Takeout service and restaurant atmosphere were very nice. Sadly, I thought the food was expensive and lacking in flavor. The curry puffs had hardly any filling and minimal curry flavor. Chicken cashew nuts with veggies was just sad. The chicken was heavily breaded, which I have never seen in a Thai restaurant before, and it had no heat and no flavor. To me, it tasted like American style Chinese food takeout.

Such good service!! Amazing authentic Thai food best Thai in royal oak! Great prices we got six dishes for 65 dollars pre tip. Food is so delicious and came out very quickly. Great place to dine in but also good for takeout. The most authentic Thai place I have had in the area. The garlic fried rice was amazing and the tom yum noodle soup definitely stood out. The papaya salad is always a favorite. Chicken satay skewers are such a good price and very yummy.

A hidden gem in Royal Oak! This cozy yet vibrant spot offers delicious, beautifully presented dishes and warm, friendly service. While the kitchen could be quicker with larger groups, the overall experience is fantastic. Definitely worth a visit!

We found parking in the lot right next to the RO public library. Believe there was also street parking located on the side and in front of the restaurant. It's very cute. Bathroom was a maze to get to and kind of creepy but sure out of their control. Menu is filled with great options. We ordered the Kow Pad, Fried Fish, papaya platter, and the Crying steak. Kow Pad was 10/10. The fried fish was also very tasty but correct me if Im wrong, believe this was fried with some soft scales ? Still very delicious and edible. Wish we wouldve gotten the papaya a bit more spicy. We only ordered it medium and as a high spice tolerant gal, it wasnt hitting but still very flavorful. The crying steak was a bit disappointing. The steak was cooked perfect but the meat was tough to bite and chew. Thai tea, btw, amazing. Service was quick and friendly. Would come back!

Came here for lunch with extended family while we were in town for a wedding. We had a great time here, we practically almost everything off their menu as we were about 15 people in our group. Great spot for some delicious Thai food!!

The curry stole the show. The wonton noodle bowl was too sweet. Service was good. If I were to come back it would be for the curry as it was everything I was looking for- balanced and not too sweet or spicy ( I ordered it mild)

AMAZING authentic Thai food!! This is hands down the best Thai food I've tried in Michigan. I came in when they were not busy and was immediately greeted and sat down. The service was amazing and I couldn't stop ordering more food it was just that good! I had to try a bit of everything. Highly recommended!

Love the decor and vibe. Random spot we found just walking around waiting for another restaurant to open. Thai tea is very good, and all the food! Not bad at all, more authentic than most places. Happy they have legit Thai food and not just the American stuff also. I love how he asked if I wanted the papaya salad thai or lao style. I personally love lao style, the more fermented the better! One of the better satay places in metro Detroit I believe and the crispy pork!! Highly recommend this place! Now we just need some boat noodles and now we are talking. Maybe some cocktails too since it's downtown royal oak? Other wise awesome

It's new and recently opened. Still has the grand opening sign out front. It's really nice to see a new place on Main. Small counter at the front area, bottled drinks too. It has a garage door open concept. It's nice outside with the garage door open except for the obnoxious jerk crotch rocket riders showing off their loud bikes while still parked. The music is rhythmic and makes for a chilled background ambiance. We ordered the papaya salad, pad Thai street Thai with chicken, red curry with chicken, medium and a small Tom Yum soup with chicken. $46.49. You can tell the food is all fresh and nicely aromatic too. Their papaya salad comes garnished with dried shrimp, which was not listed on their menu. Had to ask for one without dried shrimp on it. They were happy to oblige and apologized about the dried shrimps. Their papaya salad is nice and crunchy and fresh. The dressing wasn't too bad, a bit sweeter here than I am used to though. The Pad thai is quite flavorful, we added some additional heat, since their hot wasn't hot enough for my husband. It was good for me though. The Tom Yum soup is hearty and yummy. Could have had a bit more lemon grass for me, still delicious. The red curry here is rather creamy and sweet, I prefer it less sweet, but it's still pretty good. The rice here is more sticky than most Thai places, I like it better here. The food and service overall was good. My husband said he would come back for more pad Thai. I would come back for their Tom Yum soup and papaya salad less the dried shrimps. We are looking forward to trying other items on their menu.

And whoever mops the floors must have an irrational childhood fear of cleaning corners. Although the floors themselves are clean, each corner has a disgusting black buildup of filth. Likewise, the sinks in the bathroom. They have not been cleaned well in a very long time. Food: the beef roll pie is delicious. The marinated beef is OK but should be served cold, not room temperature. The steamed dumplings were OK too. However, the noodle dishes were oily, bland, flavorless, and just seasoned with a sweet brown sauce. Further, there is almost no meat to be found in the noodle dishes. What I had looked to be scraps. I paid three dollars extra to have the wide hand cut noodle. It was basically served raw to me. Service: this place has no concept of service. Food comes out haphazardly. First I got my entrée, then my daughter got her entree, then we got two appetizers. Sometime later, my son got his entrée, and the steamed dumplings came. Never once was an empty dish taken away, and never once was a water glass refilled. Service here is absolutely awful. Other than the beef roll pie, there isn't a single redeeming quality about this place. The food is awful, the service is terrible, all surfaces are sticky and dirty. Avoid this place at all cost.

I also LOVED the noodles; they had the best texture and length in the Metro-Detroit area. When it comes to service, there's definitely a "hands-off" approach, as you order via a QR code and a machine brings your dishes to you. However, I was personally a fan of that, and we were still checked on by workers from time to time. Food came fast and I absolutely loved the vibes and interior of the restaurant. Total plot twist. The place was pretty quiet with only a few diners, so service was steady, though a little slow at times. We ordered the veggie noodles, cucumber salad, lamb skewers, xianbing pancake, and juicy pork dumplings. Overall, the food was decent and comfortably average, but honestly, we were just excited to finally find a Szechuan-style Chinese restaurant nearby. The veggie noodles were the clear winner of the night: chewy, flavorful, and coated in a sauce that had us going back for bite after bite. I could've done without the bok choy, though, and I wish the noodles had been a little less oily. The cucumber salad leaned much sweeter than we expected and was swimming in a bit too much soy sauce for our taste. The pork dumplings were nice and juicy inside, but the wrappers were slightly too doughy. Now the lamb skewers? Absolutely delicious. Great flavor, good portion size, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The biggest disappointment, unfortunately, was the xianbing pancake. It didn't feel authentic at all. The crepe was way too thick, and the crispy crackers inside had lost all crunch and turned soggy instead. Still, the cozy vibe, solid noodles, and tasty skewers made it a worthwhile visit, especially if you're craving Szechuan flavors around Madison Heights.
