Worked with Preferred Pacific Construction to get 19 new Anlin Windows to upgrade my existing single pane windows. From start to finish, working with them has been a breeze. Started working with Jenny and Queena to get quotes. Found out their labor charge wasn't a fat rip off compared to others so decided to let them do the installation also. Bryan came, did all the final measurements and answered all my questions/concerns. No nonsense sales 101 pitches, no pushing any sense of urgency to get us to rush and sign right then and there etc. We got the window roughly 4 weeks after ordering (they estimated 4-6 weeks). Job took around 2 days. 3 people came and they really respected the house. I'm talking shoe covering when entering indoors, cleaning up after themselves after each window, and just basic decency when working on a house with a family already residing there. Pictures for the installations can speak for itself but overall, happy with the workmanship. Their quote for material and labor was 15-30% cheaper than similar competitors (I'm talking respectable brands.. Milgard trinsic/tuscany, Anlin catalina etc of course if you go no namer china brand with a handy man installer.... then yeah that's the different topic) and in my opinion, we're not sacrificing anything in terms of quality. They are also licensed and have liability insurance for their workers.. so that helps put our minds at ease. Already sent their contact to a few other friends who were waiting for my project result. Fun back Story: I actually started window shopping around May 2026 and reached out to a few highly rated window companies. They came with their sales deck and gave extremely high quotes. Eventually decided to just DIY since retrofitting is actually not hard at all... I reached out to Anlin directly to purchase windows. However, Anlin said they can't sell to me direct and sent me to one of their authorized dealers "Preferred Pacific Construction". From there, Preferred Pacific Construction gave me a quote for just the windows - which was very reasonable. By chance, I asked them how much labor would be and the price they gave me was actually very reasonable. So i decided to just have them install it instead! We had our windows replaced by Preferred Pacific Construction. After reaching out on their website, they were quick to reply and schedule a free estimate. Bryan was very professional and informative, I liked that they offered different brands of windows and had pamphlets available for us to view on the spot. When we decided to go with them, there was a follow up appt to get accurate measurements and put down a deposit. Bryan mentioned that the windows would take about 6 weeks to be delivered and his estimate was right on! Installation: the crew was very professional and cleaned up after themselves well. Installed took about 2 days - 1 day to do all the windows and about 1/2 a day to do all the finishing touches on the frames and they even fixed the drywall and repainted areas the sliding door frame didn't cover from the inside. Unfortunately we found a crack in one of the windows that night. After reaching out to Bryan, he was quick to respond that it is under warranty and that they opened a case with Anlin to get the replacement timely. Overall summary: Preferred Pacific replaced 22 windows for us. They are honest and did a high quality job at a very reasonable price. 99% of our experience was issue-free. For the last 1% we had a couple issues (explained in more detail below) that Preferred Pacific addressed in way that left us still very happy customers. I would definitely recommend them and have recommended them to friends who are looking for window replacement. --- Long and more detailed review below --- I. Our experience getting a quote: It was easy to schedule an appointment for a quote. Bryan came on time and measured our windows. We had gotten quotes from several contractors that carried Milgard, Anlin, or both. Bryan was very professional and friendly. He let us ask lots of questions and was very detailed in his explanations. II. Why we selected Preferred Pacific: - Lots of positive yelp reviews + licensed - They carry Anlin. We chose Anlin because all the contractors we got quotes from who carried Anlin + other brands recommended Anlin over other brands due to the double lifetime warranty and lower amount of customer complaints compared to other brands. - Their quote was the lowest Anlin quote we got. They offer Anlin's sound package upgrade at no extra cost. Other contractors' quotes didn't include sound package but were still higher. - Their workers are in-house, not subcontractors - They inject foam around the gaps and use high quality caulk (all contractors should do this but good to hear it from Bryan) - There was no 3-hour presentation, no pressure tactics like "sign right now and get 20% off but this deal is gone when I leave". - Quote was straightforward to read and had itemized cost per window. - Bryan did not try to upsell Anlin's upgrades to us (such as sunmatrix, sunshield, or quadratherm; to be fair, other contractors we got quotes from also did not) - They were willing to do a "block frame" style install for our windows with wood frames. Some other contractors wanted to leave our old aluminum frames inside our wood frames and do a "flush fin" type of install which would leave us with less viewing space. Bryan initially recommended this way but was willing to do the other way. - Bryan was the only contractor to measure our windows from the inside and warn us about possible risks to our shutters or frames. - Bryan really stuck with us and patiently answered our numerous questions even before we selected Preferred Pacific III. After selecting Preferred Pacific: Bryan came with Paulo (his window installer) to do more precise measurements, confirm our selections for what types of windows we wanted at which locations, and check out our shutters. IV. Window installation experience: The installation was done by 3 workers - Paulo, Adrian, and Gustavo. Bryan came in the morning as well before they started work to ensure everything was ok and answer any other questions we had. All 3 workers were friendly, accommodating, showed attention to detail, and did their best to keep our house clean. They wore shoe covers when inside our house. It took them 2 days to replace 22 windows. We did not have to move any furniture; they moved our furniture out of the way to install the windows. They vacuumed and threw away trash afterwards. There were two issues: 1. A couple of the new windows looked uneven after the first day. We told Bryan, and he came back the next day and was able to work out a solution for us with Paulo that involved swapping windows. This resulted in the windows becoming even. My only complaint is that this probably would not have come up if my wife was not looking carefully, but I don't know if it's fair to expect the workers to catch this. 2. Our shutters would be very close to our new windows, so Bryan offered as a courtesy for Paulo to attach some extra wood to bring out the shutters (and we'd only pay for materials). We decided not to because when Paulo tested one shutter against one of the new windows, it seemed like there was enough space. Unfortunately, while the one he tested out was fine, for some other windows, there wasn't enough space for the shutter frames to sit flush against the window frame, and this left a large noticeable gap. This made us unhappy because we would have taken up Bryan's offer had we known there would be that gap. We told Bryan, and we appreciated that he did not get defensive (and the initial offer was a courtesy on his end anyway) but offered to have the workers come back and insert the extra wood. He said a less invasive solution would be to have his workers fill the gaps with caulk and paint over it. We chose the less invasive solution. He told us to withhold a small portion of the final payment until caulking/painting was completed, which impressed me. The only constructive feedback we'd have is that the workers should have stopped and told us when they saw there would be a gap instead of continuing to proceed with putting the shutters back on. read more

They turned a daunting experience into fantastic results. We called Brian to get quotes on some new windows and some wall damage that we thought was minor. Brian explained the process and sold us that they could do the job well for a good price. When Sergio and the team arrived, we were immediately impressed by their professionalism and top quality work. They replaced all of the windows extremely fast. Then they jumped into the two hard projects - we needed one window converted into a wall, which seemed really hard, but they made it look really easy and they made it look like there was never a window there in the first place. The 1st week of April, Brian sent his workers to my house in Carson, CA to install about 13 windows. Our home is a 2 story house. The workers were on time and worked in a timely manner. I have outside roll down shutters on my windows. One of the upstairs windows was a bit difficult to install. However they were able to get it done. We replaced old aluminum single pane windows. Brian was very patient with me and explained what style of windows that would work for our window frame. We did the retro fit windows. it took about a day and a half to install. I had 3 other estimates before contacting Brian. When purchasing windows, please be aware of the WINDOW SALESPERSON vs WINDOW INSTALLERS. BRIAN covers both sides... very knowledgeable. I am happy to say that in the infamous words of former Minnesota Vikings NFL head coach, Dennis Green, "they are who we thought they were". And in this context that is a very, very good thing. In January of 2013 we opted to go with Preferred Windows (for various reasons) after receiving bids from a total of four window companies. Truth-be-told, Preferred Windows was NOT the lowest price but their reputation via the Internet, a personal referral and our "gut feeling" indicated that they were the right company for the job. We had them install new retro-fit Anlin windows for half of the windows or sliders in our condo. Since we had recently purchased the condo and already incurred many other significant remodel expenses we decided to do half of the condo at this time. In early December of 2014, we incurred a "semi-mysterious" leak at our condo after three days of unusual and relentless rains. I say "semi-mysterious" because many theories flew about from various contractors until someone was willing or designated to cut into the wall to try and discover where the leak was originating from. Until you open up a wall there will be so many "Shades of Grey", not to be confused with "Fifty Shades of Grey" (currently playing in theaters) that your head will spin. And even once you open up a wall it is possible there are multiple causes depending on where specifically the leak occurred. And water, like ants, has a tenacious ability to find its way in the smallest of places. From the very beginning, Preferred Windows was on top of the situation even when the cause was unknown. From their front office staff, to their installation techs to their ownership they were professional throughout and showed genuine concern and consideration for our perplexing situation. We got about 4 different quotes for replacing all windows, including re-sizing one window and replacing a geometric window. Not only did Preferred provide the best quote, they were the only company who also was able to paint. They replaced all windows, painted the entire house/detached garage/patio, and installed a beautiful French door we fell in love with in their showroom. Preferred provided 3 quotes for different window types but we ended up going with Anlin because of the great quality. Bryan and Jenny at Preferred were great.
