This time I went with the carne asada platter. I think it was listed under the specialty dishes, but for sure it was $19. The prices have gone up significantly since we started eating here. We loved this restaurant before because the food was great and the prices were reasonable. But I was very disappointed in the Carne Asada. It was a cheap piece of meat that was dry and had average flavor. I think La Dona could do so much better. They have made a lot of changes recently. Hopefully, that doesn't mean the quality of the food isn't as good anymore. They now have a breakfast buffet on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 2pm. Haven't tried it yet but I plan to. Service and ambience is the same as always although I did notice there were less customers than normal. Definitely going back to order my usual. I made a mistake trying something new.

I threw my torta away because he cut the bread in the same area . Another problem was it took 30 minutes for a to go order ,,, I ordered 3 tacos and a torta all Carne Asada,, waited 30 minutes . Unfortunately due to them cutting raw pork on the cutting board and not cleaning it I wouldn't go back , this is a great way to give someone food poisoning.

Suggest passing on the sourdough side that came with the paella. The bread had melted, but cooled cheese on it and there was not much free broth in the paella to soak therewith anyway. With water being the group's primary beverage, perhaps request a carafe of water at the table to ease the thirstier folks (me). Our wait person gave helpful suggestions and efficient service. The rest of the staff had hustle. As normal with live music, be prepared to raise your voice and repeat yourself in conversations. Everything was delicious but WOW were those panuchos amazing!! We finished our plate and immediately got up to order more. A dish from the Yucatán, panuchos are tortillas stuffed with refried black beans, then fried and topped with lettuce, marinated and pulled chicken, cucumber, tomato, avocado, and pickled onion. Divine! The family who owns and operates the truck are wonderful, lovely people who clearly take pride in what they offer. I already can't wait to come back!
