I was there for a fundraiser for a friend who's family lost their house. We went upstairs to hang at the bar and we were assaulted and I was stabbed in the chest along with 2 others friends by a patron that the bartender and owner knew so they protected him. Straightforward pub. Not a ton of frills. Decent but uninspired beer selection. A ton of screens for watching sports. More than 6 dart boards, so if you like throwing darts there is a very good chance you'll be able to find an open board to throw on. The staff are not overly friendly but they are frequently very busy and still manage to serve people. This is a big soccer bar and on big game days you may not be able to get in. I think they may charge a cover for some big games? I went to play darts once and the entrance was locked and it was packed inside and out with people watching Tottenham Hotspur. There is Tottenham Hotspur stuff all over the interior. I will say that I'm not sure it's always like this but I went one day when it was raining and it was like being in a leaky ship. We were passing by and wanted to stop in for a quick drink. We ordered Guinness (it's a must a must at a Irish bar) and an amaretto sour. The bartender was super nice and super quick to sling our drinks. They had TVs to watch the game and a couple dart boards in the back. Great spot for a couple drinks or to catch the game. read more

Charming, inexpensive neighborhood pub with a spacious barroom and televisions to watch sports games. I popped by this afternoon to catch some of the World Cup and was greeted by a friendly bartender. Although the menu on this page says Flannery's serves food, when I asked the bartender today, he said that they don't, so I just ordered Goose Island on draft and settled into a stool right at the bar. They have plenty of seating around and a large projector going in the back as well, but I didn't notice that until later when I got up to find the restrooms. Flannery's has one accessible restroom on the main floor and bigger gendered bathrooms downstairs. read more

This place serves a purpose. Beers, sports, darts. It's a dive among dives. Feels like you're walking into a construction zone at the entrance, but inside is a traditional Irish bar. Big place with tons of seating for groups. The Guinness on tap is good and bartenders were nice. They don't serve food but most folks bring in food from outside. Came in on a Friday night, and it's really spacious, found a table no problem and drinks are pretty cheap for NYC standards! If I could choose 0 stars, I would. We stopped in for a drink while waiting for a nearby dinner reservation. Ordered two beers with a very unhappy, unwelcoming bartender, I paid cash and had my hand out to receive the change and he just threw it on the bar next to my hand and walked away, didn't say a word the whole exchange, extremely rude. The owner of the bar was so nasty to my friends and I that it literally ruined our thanksgiving night. We were excited to have a few drinks and we were told to leave because my friend mistakenly pulled a chair from the bar and didn't notice that someone's drink was there. From that moment he started throwing little jabs at him about it. My friend asked him if he was alright and he started going off saying "you don't take the chairs from My bar." And I confronted him cause I was confused as to why he even had an attitude. It was a mistake, we put the chair back...why mouth off. I truly want to know why he was so upset. He couldn't even explain why he had an attitude. We was told to leave. There's more but I'll leave it at that. Edit: After reading the reviews...he had an attitude cause of the color our skin. This spot has a special place in my heart, as my friend's dad owned it as a small local Irish bar back in the day, and on the right day, he was occasionally a bit lenient with the underage nips off of the tap. Today it makes me sad to see this bar keep the visual traditional Irish bar cues, but try to a cater to a younger, brasher village crowd. The music in here is blaring, the interior seems messy and solvenly, and even the pints of Guinness seem mediocre--the rest of the beer selection is average, and the taps don't seem to be adequately cleaned/maintained. It's a big, sprawling space for the area, and I think an actual old school bar would be the real unique spot, and still maybe lure in young NY hipsters. At any rate, unless you are a big darts fan (they have lots of boards and take up pride of place) and/or are satisfied with average beer, I can't imagine why you'd want to come here (unless you occasionally feel nostalgic like me). read more

This review is solely on the intended event. Came into Flannerys for Tottenham Hotspur match while on holiday in New York. Fantastic atmosphere for Spurs fans. Crowded but bar staff attentive despite overwhelming odds. I did not go without a full beer. The fans were a lot of fun. Wish I could take this place home with me. As a Tottenham Fan, I cannot give this bar a 1 star rating. But, if this wasn't a Tottenham bar, this would have been easily a one star bar. When you first enter, it's like any other bar but they do hang Tottenham flags around which I'm proud of. Despite how they're starting this season, I will always support the team. What makes me give them a one star is the service. My friend and I did order a drink and after a burst of excitement from our conversation, he tipped his drink which spilled and broke the cup from contact to the table. Of course, I would expect the bartender to kick us out from this mishap. So, I did apologize and said we're sorry for the broken cup and spilled drink. He ignored my apology and said "get the f@#k out". If this was a packed bar, I would have understood his behavior. But being a bar with minimal people on a Wednesday night/Thursday morning, I would expect the bartender to hear our story. Clearly that was not the case and we have been kicked out the bar with vulgar language. David worked his way up from back of house to Bartender. Not only is he gracious, but a solid pour. I support this establishment 800%. I love this place! I come here often with my friends to play darts. Drinks are affordable and they have a good selection. The DJ plays pretty good music as well. They do not serve food but there is a really good Cuban restaurant right next door who will deliver your food to the bar! I will say this place is more for a mature crowd which is totally my speed. read more

The name of this establishment saids it all for it just a bar. It is not a restaurant as they do not have food. They order food elsewhere as there is a good selection of menus. I visited this bar after coming across it a few days prior and noticing all of the Spurs logos. I'm a life long supporter. The service was 6 out of 10. Not terrible I suppose. My biggest complaint is I was charged more than I signed for, tip-wise. It was only $1, no big deal but still very annoying and unprofessional and I disputed it just on principle alone.
