Always busy! They don't take reservations, but they do have a wait list. Service is usually pretty good and quick. Food is hit or miss. Eggs are always over done. But they have crepes!

Flap Jacks used to be a chain but after the owner's passing, the individual restaurants were sold off. This location is just off I-65 on IN-32. They have a regular following of locals that fill up the dining room daily. The dining room is dated, but clean. They offer daily breakfast and lunch specials. I had the Eggs Benedict. The eggs were cooked perfectly and there was a generous portion of sauce. The potatoes were nicely browned but had an unsavory metallic taste to them. My husband had the tenderloin sandwich which looked and tasted processed (frozen). The cole slaw was excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive. She loved her job and had been working there 18 years.

Huge portions, yummy food. The pancakes are to die for--after all it's called flapjacks! Really attentive staff, some really good above & beyond. We tried the omelets, home fries, grits and found them all good.

There's always a story. My husband and I were driving home from Chicago where he'd picked me up after a mother daughter trip to Portugal. We had so much to talk about that we didn't notice we were almost out of gas. He saw it just in time to pull off at this exit and into a gas station across from Flapjack's. We were hungry and he loves breakfast. I had the best burger! Fries were great and I loved the coleslaw. I would have given five Stars but maybe stand didn't like the pancakes,of all things! They were too fluffy for him and just not the way he likes them. To be fair, I make great ones just like he likes them

Typical pancake house but they make a pretty darn good Benedict! We went on a Sunday so it was pretty hoppin' and had approx 10 min. wait which I think was to be expected. It wasn't just Sunday but this location is right off the interstate. It's always busy! I've been here multiple times over the years so review is based on cumulation of visits. I can't speak on lunch menu or items but I've never had a bad breakfast here. Our server was friendly and attentive: our coffee cups stayed full! No complaints = 5 stars.

So, this was fast food, but it was good fast food. A little road trip stop for breakfast, and it was tasty.

I ordered a Southwest chicken wrap and fries and my boyfriend ordered a burger and chicken tenders with cheese curds. We also added an order of their onion rings to try. The cheese curds were fantastic - better than several other popular chains. The wrap was good and the chicken was crisp. The fries and onion rings came out fresh and hot. As we sat there I noticed more people coming in to order so I think word of mouth will bring in more business. The menu is big which could be a little overwhelming but I'm thinking you can't go wrong with most choices. The restaurant was a little chilly for December but the dining area and restrooms were clean.

Even though there was nobody before us (we weee literally the one ones in the place) took about 10 to get our "fast food." When we received the order, one of the entrees was wrong, we ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and were given a buffalo chicken sandwich. As a side we got cheddar fries, there was too much cheese sauce, the sauce tasted terrible (likely instant garbage they order and add water to,) and one of the fries was still frozen in the middle. We also ordered a southwest chicken wrap. The wrap was incredibly bland, not really any flavor, not much sauce, very little chicken.

They offer daily specials, and though they serve breakfast through their 2:00 closing, we ordered lunch. The Patty Melt was perfectly done - locally sourced beef, onions, special sauce on grilled rye with fries (my preference would have been for the onions to be cooked a bit more but it was still delicious). The chili cheeseburger was served in a bowl on a pretzel roll with fries. All delicious! We got dessert to go - Apple pie and pistachio muffins. Can't wait to try these this evening. Our first visit was a big success and we are already looking forward to going back!

I was looking for something simple and easy, comfort food given the reason for our visit down south. The cafe is not very large, or very fancy, but the staff was incredibly accommodating, including providing some things to do for the little ones in our group that were starting to get restless. The food was just okay, and while not really anything that I couldn't have done at home, the price was good and the location is in the middle of a super cute downtown area that reminded me of the town from Back to the Future (it's that cute!). One downside? The bathroom reminds me of something out of a lower-end gas station and definitely needs some help.

When I walked in, I went straight for the bathroom (Having been driving for hours) but it was locked so I assumed you needed a key for it. I decided to go ahead and order my sandwich before asking so the lady helping me would know I wasn't just using their restroom and dashing, but I was a paying customer. As she's finishing my order, another employee comes out of the bathroom and immediately confronts me at the register about how I need to learn how to knock first instead of rudely assuming no one is in the bathroom. To be clear, I definitely assumed it was open - there were no cars, no one in the store, and it's 10:30am. And again; I assumed it was like any number of places that require you to have a key to unlock them... either way; it's crazy terrible customer service to speak to anyone the way that woman with the short hair and glasses spoke to me. She could've chosen a dozen more professional and/or kind ways to let me know the bathroom was now free. And I would've apologized had I even known someone was in it. I did not. Im glad my local subways are way better staffed with much kinder people. The woman ringing me up was nice. But I chose to tip less than I originally planned based on that awful interaction. Will not stop here again.

She recommended the green beans. Her description of them was right on target and they were very good. Service was very fast and our bill was accurate. They are first come, first serve, and do not accept reservations. We would return again.
