    Chimichurri Steak & Eggs Hash

Went to first watch on a Sunday, we weren't planning to go for brunch but decided last minute to go in and we had a great experience! The food was amazing, I had the chimichurri Steak and Eggs Hash and it was incredible!! service was really good, everyone was really attentive and even though the place was full, ambiance was relaxed and you could comfortably have a conversation. I can't believe we hadn't been here before. 100% recommend :)

We came right before the crowd and were seated right away. One downside is that the tables are pretty close together, so we didn't have much space and could easily hear nearby conversations. I also wish they offered cappuccinos. It's a little odd that they don't. I ordered the Trifecta with the Belgian waffle and really liked the Chicken Apple sausage. The seasoned potatoes were great, too. Portions were solid overall, and we had great, quick service.

Blueberry lemon cornbread was delicious! The mint mocha was okay, I probably won't order it again. The elevated egg sandwich was filling with some burnt pieces in the potatoes. My partner enjoyed the French toast. It wasn't too crowded for a Saturday lunch and service was fast, though not the friendliest as we had to ask the busser for a box upon departure. Cute valentines decor but some trash on the floor.

I had not been to first watch, but anything breakfast focused is great with me. The space was nice and open, and I was seated right away. I'm a sucker for eggs Benedict so I had delicious blt eggs Benedict! Very impressed with the staff; on top of it, friendly but not overwhelming! Can't wait to come back and check out some more tasty options!

Checked in online which I highly recommend! Seated right away only to wait 10 min for a waitress even to appear. Ordered drinks and food together. Million dollar bacon is good. They had a summer special tres lache strawberry French toast, comes with no sides . Very disappointing but it tasted good. Husband got the chickichongo it tasted good but the shell was over cooked. Asked for more coffee twice and finally went and got creamers from another table as she never brought. Overall a little pricey and slow but the food tasted good.

I'm a longtime fan of the First Watch chain. I'd been eyeing this particular location while handling some family issues in nearby Putnam County that have had me driving through Hendricks County multiple times weekly. I simply haven't had time to stop. Yesterday morning, I finally made it. This seems like a newer location and is quite beautifully decorated. The ambience is casual and welcoming. It's in a strip center and there are ample accessible parking spots and curb cuts. The glass door entry is a little heavy, however, employees are nearby and fairly quick to assist if needed. The hosting station is right inside the door. First Watch has both indoor and outdoor dining options. They can accommodate smaller parties and larger parties fairly easily. As is always true with First Watch, this is a breakfast/brunch/lunch spot that closes at 2:30pm. They lean toward healthier fare. They have a juice bar, teas, Project Sunrise Coffee, and the menu includes organic, gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options. They do not serve alcoholic beverages at this location (some First Watch spots do). I was seated at a comfortable table. I ordered my usual unsweetened iced tea. I ended up with a usual of a single pancake and roasted potatoes. I'm a huge fan of First Watch's potatoes - I quite literally crave them. I wasn't looking great, but I was treated well. It has been a very long month both working and dealing with my father in hospice. I'm exhausted. Food was great. Service was great. Price was fair. Here's where First Watch really earned their 5-star. On Tuesday night, my father died after a modest hospice journey. Yesterday, I was on my way to begin planning the funeral and to start addressing issues at his home. I was tired. I was stressed. I was, for the first day, without immediate family (my mother and only brother preceded him in death). I needed a healthy meal. I needed connection. I was lingering. One iced tea. two iced teas. "Do you mind if I stay a few more minutes?" Third iced tea. I was encouraged to stay. I finally acknowledged to my server, Ashley, that I was on my way to begin clearing out my father's home and plan his funeral. It could have been awkward. It could have been a momentary "I'm sorry" response. Instead, she sat down at the table. Looked me in the eyes and spent 1-2 minutes being human and kind. It was a brief but deeply appreciated act of compassion. I got the spark I needed and went to handle the business. So, bravo First Watch. Thank you for creating an environment where people can relax, be sustained, and have kind, compassionate servers. Oh, and thanks for those potatoes. Perfect! I'll be back.

Great place for high quality breakfast. The restaurant provides a cozy family feel with attentive service. I ordered the tri-fecta and a honey caramel crunch iced coffee. For the tri- fecta i chose the Belgian waffle, which was light and airy, scrambled eggs, and chicken sausage. The meal and the drink were both good.

This is like the millionth time we come here to first watch in Avon, Indiana. And this is one of mine and my daughter's favorite to go places. They have. Awesome breakfast and brunch options. We especially prefer the brunch options. They also have a great kids menu with along with the coloring paper that'll occupy kids for some time. Their service is amazing. They explain what the menu is and they are very kind to kids when kids are trying to order on their own. Their ambience inside is pleasant, clean, calm and it suits for all sorts of parties. This is a definite come. We will keep coming here. It's a great place.

Really enjoy this local First Watch. Service is always quick and my coffee cup is never left empty. Menu has all the great stuff whether you're looking for sweet, savory, traditional, or something new. Check the chalk board for rotating specials. Parking is ample and location is very good.

Food was amazing! Fresh and good presentation. Service staff are friendly and the environment is relaxing.

Quick, delicious, and filling for an avocado toast and eggs. Just a hint of lemon and salt. Highly recommended downloading app to get an alternative to those breakfast morning commutes. However, on the app there are not too many options for customizations like a simple request for hot tea to-go, but most coffee, milk, juice basics available.

We went in for a staff luncheon. The food was great. Refills and check backs took some time. I think they were closing up lunch and doing side work. The restaurant is clean and bright. I had the chopped salad. Plenty of leftovers for a second lunch later in the week. We had the corn bread starter which was fire. The watermelon drink was good too.

I have to say I was impressed by this place and that's not an easy thing to do. I was greeted and escorted to my table. The server brought some water right away and took my drink order. BTW the coffee here is fabulous and you get a whole can, which is nice for your no-wait refills and warm-ups. I took a minute to peruse this rather large menu with so many delicious options. It was really hard to choose. In the end I decided on an omelet with a side of cheesy grits. Now mind you the omelet already comes with toast and a salad, which you can swap out for potatoes or fruit. So there is a good amount of food. I'll know next time. The omelet was delish, well made with fresh tomatoes and sour cream on top... yumm. The greens were plentiful and the dressing on it a delicate vinaigrette that I really enjoyed. Even the bread, which I was worried I might not like. It just sounded way too healthy to be any good, but I was proven wrong. It was quite good and the jelly was perfect. And the cheesy grits were pretty good also. A little bland, but that's a grits thing anyway. Altogether I have to say that I will be back for sure. But be aware that this is a very busy place and if you come in on the weekend, expect quite a wait.

This time with my husband and told him it was pretty good. We were seated very quick, it was around 11 am and it's a Thursday. The server took our order but forgot to bring my water. I got the "Mad Platter" which comes with three eggs, three meats, fried potato's (or grits), toast, and a pancake or French toast. I asked for well done eggs, which means the top part is cooked, which I explained to the server. When I got my eggs back they were completely runny. I just ate them as was because I don't mind runny eggs, I just wasn't particularly in the mood for them. It came with a ton of sausage. The toast came out cold but everything else was okay. I asked again for my water. She didn't bring it out when she came to give us something but got it afterwards. We were a party of 5 so we had some dishes and cups piling up. The server NEVER picked up anything from the table. Leaving it cluttered. Then, before asking if we were done or if we had anything we needed she brought us the check. And then just told us we didn't have to rush. You should always make sure your patrons are done before giving them the check, it's just common courtesy. She never returned to our table. My husband complained the syrup was runny. And the biscuits and the gravy was dry. Overall mid food, not sure if they got a new cook but it wasn't anything to write home about. The service was blah and definitely needs improvement. The first server I had when I first visited was really nice and attentive. I would say it's a place to visit at least once but we will not be returning. I hope you have a better experience!

The service was absolutely impeccable: attentive without hovering, warm without pretense, and delivered with the sort of genuine hospitality that makes you feel less like a customer and more like an honored guest at an impossibly chic gathering. And then came the drinks. The pistachio latte was a masterpiece of balance and indulgence -- velvety, nutty, and luxuriously smooth, as though a pistachio grove had somehow been distilled into liquid silk. Each sip unfolded like a sonnet. The wildflower latte, meanwhile, was pure poetry in a cup. Delicately floral without being overpowering, it carried an almost ethereal sweetness, like spring itself had been persuaded to dissolve into espresso. It was whimsical, elegant, and astonishingly memorable. The Green Room Cafe has achieved what so many coffee shops aspire to but few truly accomplish: creating not just beverages, but an experience -- one steeped in artistry, comfort, and just the right amount of enchantment. A triumph. Five stars scarcely feels sufficient. While there isn't a large selection of liquors, they have the staples to make most go-to cocktails in addition to their monthly specials (both cocktail and mocktail options). The food is what really stands out and would bring me back. You are able to choose a salad, flatbread or sandwich and their creations are unique and delicious. I had the pesto, peas and goat cheese on flatbread and was pleasantly surprised to find I could order the flatbread as a half order for $9 instead of committing to a whole order. His service carried a rare warmth, genuine and unforced, like hospitality passed down through generations rather than rehearsed. Coffee refills arrived like clockwork, plates were cleared with graceful timing, and every interaction was threaded with an ease that made the entire meal feel effortless. George didn't merely serve breakfast; he elevated it, turning pancakes and eggs into supporting characters while he remained the quiet star of the morning. If excellence were a craft, George would be its master artisan. He made the dining room feel less like a restaurant and more like a well-tended haven, where everything runs smoothly because someone truly cares that it does. Hot Cakes is fortunate to have him--because a waiter like George is not common; he is the kind of presence that turns routine meals into rituals worth returning for. By the end of the meal, it was difficult to tell whether I was lingering for the last bite of breakfast or for one more effortless interaction. George has that effect--his professionalism carries a quiet allure, a reminder that mastery, when worn lightly, can be profoundly attractive. Hot Cakes serves excellent food, but George serves something rarer: the faint thrill of realizing that excellence itself can make the heart--and perhaps the pulse--skip just a bit faster. I love George, if he got on his knee at my table and asked me for my hand in marriage, I wouldn't hesitate.

Then we waited to be noticed by the wait staff. And we waited, and waited. It took 17 minutes before anyone came to our table. We would have left but we had a $50 gift certificate to use. Finally someone came over. We ordered teas & an appetizer of flaming saganaki. We found it very tasty. For entered I ordered the Greek meatball sandwich. My wife got a cup of egg lemon bowl ( which is a soup she loves) & Keftethes ( with beef meatballs). I found the fries god & the meatballs & bread decent but the sauce was a little off to me which greatly reduced my enjoyment. It was just ok. My wife thought the soup was a bit thin but overall god with a strong lemon flavor. Her entree the meatballs were good, the green beans were cold & the roasted potatoes were decent. Overall she was meh. We ordered desserts to go. Baklava, Galaktoboureko ( custard in philo dough) & Oreo cake. Wife thought the baklava had an overpowering cinnamon taste which hurt it. The Galaktoboureko was basically sugar cream pie with philo crust. I thought it was ok but wife thought it should have been thinner. She also believes the to go containers aren't sufficient for these desserts due to the sugar syrup. The "Oreo cake" had one cookie to the side & was dry. When we gave the waitress our gift certificate she said they would take that off when they rang up the bill. She came back & the gift certificates were not taken off. I pointed this out to her & she went back to talk to whoever is running the register. When she came back she said she has no idea what's going on but they gave me a $50 bill to credit the $50 in gift certificates. My amazing wife surmised that they credited someone else's bill & gave us the $50 to make it right for us. Bottom line is all the staff we interacted with were friendly but the restaurant is very disorganized. Food was just ok. Can't say we were impressed.
