I ran over some ice yesterday and a piece below my car got ripped off and was dragging along the ground making a terrible sound. I stopped by the shop this morning and they took me in right away. I was helped by 2 guys, Jason and Flaco, who were both extremely attentive and helpful. Before I knew it, they had removed the hanging piece from the bottom of my car and sent me on my way. I usually come during the weekday and there is never a wait. I signed up to be a VIP [Text "FlashLube" to 55678] and receive $5 off your oil change. If you are getting more work done, check in through Yelp and receive 5% off. The two are not combinable. The employees are always friendly and always tell me if my car needs work done. Being a girl, I always expect car servicing places to push things I don't need so they can make the extra sale but this place is not like that at all. Went there today to get an oil change and the guy told me that I should get my cabin filter changed and possibly air filter by the next time I go in. This isn't a super fancy car servicing place, they are known for their fast oil changes. Small waiting area with two TVs that play whatever the receptionist puts on. I'm usually done within 15 minutes for an oil change. read more

This place is amazing!! I drive in the city constantly because I live in Queens, NY. YES I come all the way from Queens just to get my brakes done here. It is very hard to find a mechanic that you could trust with your baby. Flash Lube was honest and welcoming, they fixed my car with quality breaks for a better price then I have seen anywhere else. I've been here a few times with only good results. While 17 pt check fluids etc which I like , they found nail in tire , informed and gave me option on whether I wanted to fix or not . I'd forgotten I had slow leak I thought it was cold weather shift. Bottom line they fixed it with oil change no issues or hassles. Good job done and out of there without long wait. read more

Got an oil change here. Cheap, good quality and quick. Mechanic tried to get me to pay for an engine flush? I declined.

HORRIBLE! Went to get an oil change because I couldn't go to the one I usually go to for $30. When I get there the guy starts telling me all these things that are "wrong" with my car. That I need a new air filter...when I had recently got it changed, that I need an engine flush, and all these other things. He than tells me that the total for everything is gonna be hundreds of dollars. So I tell him not to change anything and just do the oil change, which was almost double what I usually pay. It started out nice. The cost was $86 for synthetic oil. It was quick. When you get the bill PAY ATTENTION TO THE "SERVICE COMMENTS" they claimed I had an oil leak and "customer know it". When I asked the mechanic he claimed it was the gaskets on the pan. When I called and spoke to the manager he claimed it was on the top. Had I known I had a leak I won't of changed the oil I would of gone to a mechanic. Manager said to check it in 3 months, just in time to go back and get another oil change. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN!!!! Follow up: I took the car to the dealer where I had the previous oil change done. It did have a leak caused by Flash lube putting a stripped bolt on. They redid the job put a new bolt and no leak. NEVER AGAIN!!!! read more

I was provided with prompt and courteous customer service. They inspected my car thoroughly and the staff was just great. I use them all the time for my Mercedes truck. I get oil changes at half of the recommend mileage. So I get the Merc approved 0W-40 synthetic oil from Walmart and the Mann fleece oil filter from Amazon. Saves me $150 and few hours in driving/waiting to/at the dealership. They can also do differential and transfer case flushes in less than 20 min. Just check your user manual and make sure you get the recommended fluids/parts yourself. You can watch while they work on the car, it gives peace of mind that work was done right and you learn a few things about routine maintenance talking to the mechanics. They will recommend extra services routinely but its totally your decision, being informed helps avoid expensive failures. Prices are reasonable. read more

Got an oil change from their yesterday. They changed the oil as if everything was okay and charged me and handed me receipt. On my way back home I happened to read the receipt and it said "excessive oil leak". I drove back here to ask them why they didn't bother mentioning it to me and I was repeatedly told "its not our job". Also apparently they did the oil change as well as a 27 point check all within 10 minutes. When I checked my radiator fluid it was dry! But the receipt said that they put some in. The worst place ever ! will never take my car there again and advise everyone else to do the same read more

Come in for oil change but was recommended to did the transmission fluid replacement. on their price chart on the wall says the combo costs around $135 but they charged me $200 due to my car need 'special' transmission fluid. When i went home check with service department with my car dealer, but charge $89.95 for transmission fluid replacement. This place is ripe off. AVOID!!! read more

For some reason on 6/19/15 I check the oil filter before my next oil change. so today i went to get my oil change done and inspected the oil filter before i left the location and the same old mudding and dirty filter was never removed. the lube tech just wipe off some of the dirt that was around filter. I went back in and talk to the cashier and she told me i don't know i am not a mechanic .i spoke with the tech and they seem dumb found and surprised that i even checked . I needed an oil change, and because of my busy work and life schedule couldn't schedule one at one of the major chains. Whenever I tried to go into Pep Boys, and asked "how long for an oil change", they'd tell me they couldn't get to me for a few hours. So I searched on Yelp and found this place. Glad I did. When I went- on a Saturday afternoon, hardly off-peak- I only had to wait about 10-15 minutes for them to start on my car. Then it took them maybe another 10-15 minutes to finish. So I was out in less than 30 minutes. Got $5 off with a text message coupon. I also appreciate that I was able to stand right there and watch as they serviced my car. At the major places like Pep Boys, I always had to stand far away behind glass, if I could look at all. And then those places fill up your oil using a pump thingie, so I could never be sure if they were really giving me full synthetic or just filling my car with conventional- you don't know what's coming out of there. At Flash Lube, I saw them pour the Mobil 1 synthetic oil directly from the 1 quart plastic containers into my car. So no doubt about what I was getting. (I could even choose which brand of oil I wanted- I've never been offered that anywhere else.) I also watched as they checked and filled my tire pressure, greased my door hinges, and did the rest of the free service things that come with an oil change. And the price wasn't any higher than I'd be paying anywhere else. They were also nice about everything. This is where I'm coming back for oil changes. Happy I found Flash Lube. read more

I had a worst experience on 04/25/2015 at the FlashLube. I specifically asked to change the Oil Drain Plug but when I checked at my home after they completed the service it was not changed. Though FlashLube did not forget to charge me. Inside the oil was leaked all over on the engine and all the way to the bottom of my car. When I went there they did change the drain plug and clean the car engine. When I asked the cashier who is the owner? Cashier's response was she doesn't know the owner and has no idea of when the owner will be there. There was no professional try from the cashier to ask me if she can provide me some information about it. The only mechanic manager who was sorry for the poor work and inconvenience.
