Girls Night out! Mom and I decided to spend the evening together and enjoy a bite with good conversation. Unfortunately, due to the packed house we couldn't hear each other and the service was terrible. We are locals and expected a busy restaurant, but we weren't expecting not so good food as well. I love their one of a kind flatbread pizza so I ordered two, and that's not what I got. This 90% cheese pizza was not pizza but simply a gooey mess. My mother ordered wings that came to us under done and unflavorful. Beverages weren't refilled and our food took over a half an hour to arrive. Unfortunately it took about 10 minutes for a scoop of ice cream to arrive afterwords. We were done, ready to leave waiting for our check. Finally, my mom had noticed our waitress sweeping outside. I flagged a random waitress and we were able to leave. We wanted a nice hour out together, and instead we were out for nearly two with a not so great experience. Stopped in on a weeknight w my family. The place was quite nice inside, combo of a modern look (glass fireplaces) and carved wooden art, tables, and chairs. The view of the lake is pretty great. We started w some wine - a nice red blend called Syriah, which was fairly full-bodied and flavorful/fruity. We then had the Crawfish bisque: quite flavorful and thick - crawfish similar to a lobster flavor, not very strong in it. My meal was the Elk brat: very lean, not a typical brat - gamey and meaty. I liked it, but my girlfriend didn't. Came in a bun w sauerkraut - which was a good combo. Sauerkraut was fine, nothing memorable. I tried some onion rings, which were super crispy and good. I had the Apple slaw as a side: really good, not too creamy I also had the side salad: excellent - full of ingredients and quite tasty, not a cheap pile of leaves. I can't say enough great things about Jen and Jamie who provided amazing service during lunch. Unfourtanetly that's where the compliments end. The food was so bad I'm at a true loss of words. I was looking forward to trying this beautiful brewery. However, service was slow and terrible. I ordered the Red Bird which was burnt with a chicken breast that was half the size of the bun. It was very dry and subpar. My boyfriend's burger was dry and lacked flavor. The fries were not anything exceptional either. We also ordered the artichoke dip, which for its price, should have been an actual dip instead of chunked artichokes and spinach sprinkled with cheese. Under impressed, which is unfortunate because it is set up to do so much better. From a hostess who couldn't time when tables would turn, to a server that didn't know the menu enough to tell us what the seasonal beers were on tap (it's a brewery!). Had a Caesar wrap with salmon and was not impressed. It was a large flour tortilla filled with chunks of romaine and very little dressing. It was very bland - even with the extra dressing I asked for. I ate half of it even though I has hungry. The corn chips were a bit stale. Have been stopping every summer since it metamorphosized from old bowling alley to awesome brew house. Especially enjoy their outside seating and view of Flathead Lake. The beer and food are consistently good. At night I have felt rushed to leave which is odd. I got over it and will continue to frequent in the future. read more

We waited to be seated for 30 mins not sure why there was plenty of seating outside we would have taken but the hostess seemed to not know what was going on. We have been coming here maybe 3 years every time we make our summer trip into Montana. I absolutely LOVE and crave their Cajun chicken tenders. Unfortunately, they removed it from their lunch menu along with a lot of other items (such as burgers). That was such a disappointment to me. The service this time was really bad. It took forever for them to come and get drink orders, forever to take our food order, food came out within a reasonable time, but again, forever to give us the check and forever to pick it back up to close. My husband even had to go straight to the bar to pick up his beer because the waitress disappeared and never brought it. We felt something was wrong with her. Not only was she apathetic, unhappy, and very unfriendly, but we thought maybe she had been drinking or perhaps on something. She never did come back to our table after our food came out. Another note about this place, it is ALWAYS SO FRICKEN COLD, year after year, and always has been. You have ice cubes developing on fingers by the time you've sat in there for an hour. Why?! That really is NOT necessary. Even boys and men in the group are cold and they tend to be the ones telling us we are silly. STOP NOW WITH THAT...so very unpleasant for your guests. As far as the food this time, I was able to find a substitute for my favorite chicken tenders. I got a salad with the veggie delight and added turkey to it. I was pleased. My husband and son got the wings and they had a good flavor but they were very dry. Daughter was happy with poke but not the seaweed salad. My other son said his turkey sandwich was good. Although the food seemed good, I just can't get over the rest and we decided this time is our last visit. My friend had a few ales and thought they were very good. Dinner, not so much, Cajun chicken strips were odd, they flaked like a fish, this being said, they were lacking flavor and the Cajun, was just some dry seasoning sprinkled on after frying. The beer and appetizers here are fantastic. I would recommend you do a flight of beers to get a good tasting of what they have here. The sour and lone walker were excellent. The smokey plate was so yummy! The service was great,our server was fantastic. When it came to dinner, the food was so so. I had a salad and it was a mass of uncut lettuce. We ordered a burger medium and it was charcoal burnt on the bottom ( they did remove it from the bill). The pulled pork was good but nothing amazing. Stopped here on a whim while driving through Big Fork. It was a quiet Thursday happy hour and the lake was sunny and gorgeous. We ordered two flights and the smoky paddle, and we thoroughly enjoyed both. The salmon, mustard, cheeses and crostini were all fabulous. I read all the other Yelp reviews after leaving here and was pretty surprised by the low ratings. But perhaps this place excels at quiet happy hours and appetizers? Either way, can't recommend the smoky paddle enough! We enjoyed our beer flights too and thought the beer was good quality. read more

First time here...seated right away which was surprising. Beers are great, but try the beer cocktails. So so good! Loved the gyro and the fries. The Bacon Popper Burger is incredible, as is the Buffalo Burger. I had a wheat beer, and it was cold and smooth. We were told we'd have a 35-minute wait, but they got us in within 10-15 minutes. The service was great, and every staff member was very friendly. In particular, our waitress overheard our toddler ask for water, and without us asking, brought out a kid cup of water for him. We didn't get to eat here. The kid at the host station (you'll note I don't refer to him as a host) took about 10 minutes to get to us (we were 2nd in line). He didn't have the faintest idea about how to be a host. He left the host station without any acknowledgement of us or the people in front of us 4 or 5 times. When he did finally decide to talk to us, he said it would be 30 min to an hour: "trivia will be done in an hour and it *could* clear out." (The trivia is five questions. The guy tried to sign us up while we waited in line.) He clearly didn't know how dining room flow works. This was on a Wed. night. If you are ever able to get into the cramped and chaotic parking lot and past the incompetent "host" staff, the food might be good. read more

Went to the bar to get a beer while waiting for a table. Ordered the wheat. Was told the keg needed to be switched and I was perfectly fine with that. Instead another bartender grabbed the cup and filled the beer. It took very long which made sense since it was bottom the keg. I was unaware at the time that yeast and sediments gather at the bottom of the keg. After I started drinking the beer I felt worse and worse like a really bad stomach virus. By the end of the night I was in the ER for dehydration after passing out twice. This experience ruined our trip to Flathead Lake on the first night. read more

This place is amazing. I really enjoy the old location too, but the new place is the total package. Met up with some great friends there and while waiting for our table we enjoyed a beer in the barrel room. Mike treated us very well and was extremely knowledgeable. Once our table was ready we went to the restaurant/bar side and ordered up an outstanding lunch. Many items to choose from and they seemed very reasonably priced to me. The service was equally impressive on this side too. Since they were busy and we weren't done visiting, we gave up our table and moved out to the deck. It was a little windy and kind of cool out, but the view off that deck is epic and is going to be the spot to be this summer. We come every Wednesday for trivia, beers, and food! The menu has just expanded, which is awesome! The wings, Reuben, gyro, and fries and onion rings are all amazing!!
