Horrible food service. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone to dine in. I waited more than half an hour for my food and three other customers got their orders before me. The tables were sticky and not properly cleaned. This place was being operated by what seemed to be a bunch of millennials who obviously didn't value the ONLY customers in the tables waiting for their food. I tried Flava Wings today and the wings are AMAZING! I had the Goodness Garlic Parmesan and the New School Buffalo Sauce Wings. The French fries were also really good. Not seasoned too much or too little. My plan is to go back and try everything on the menu. I noticed a new black owned restaurant opened up in my area and Saturday night I thought I'd give them a try. I checked Yelp before going and was surprised at the 4.5 star ratings. I know now that was most likely employees or friends of the owner. I saw a few reviewers comment about ridiculous wait times and subpar food. Being that the good reviews seemed to outweigh the bad reviews I decided to give them a try. I walked into a nice and clean store front next to a gas station. There wasn't a lot of customers in the restaurant, maybe 2. The employees were deep in conversation with each other and barely noticed me at the counter. After laughing and playing with staff from the kitchen I was asked if I was placing an order or picking up. I said placing to which she quickly replied, Its an hour wait, you pay now and we'll call you when it's ready to be picked up! I said an hour? Jeez! But hey it's a new black owned business and I really wanted to support them so I placed a $60 order for my family. I ordered 30 piece bone in chicken pack with 2 orders of waffles, corn and beignets. After paying I left and went home. I returned an hour later and was told my order was still not ready. I waited 30 more minutes and asked again about my order and was told that they would call me on the phone when it's ready. I was like oh no I'm gonna need a refund. This is crazy I've been waiting for an hour and a half! While we're talking several new customers come in and are told that the wait time is an hour and a half to an hour and forty-five minutes. Both customers promptly walked out. I wish I would've as well. So as I'm asking for my refund again they ask for my phone number. They turn around and say oh I'm sorry your order has been up here. Here you go. I'm like well how long has it been sitting up here? Those bags were on the counter since before I got here 30 mins ago. Immediately I open the bags to check the fries. They were soggy and warm. Nowhere near hot. I asked for hot crispy fries and after they huddled in a corner and discussed what happened among themselves one of the girls asked me..."Did anyone call you and tell you your order was ready?" I said no, no one has ever called and I've been here for an hour and forty-five mins now. It took them another 15-20 mins to give me some hot fries, which were garbage. Over salted and slightly burnt. I was praying that that the rest of the food would make up for the long wait. IT DID NOT! The chicken taste like they bought pre breaded chicken and tossed it sauce. The chicken was horrible, the dry rub was soggy with batter sliding off. It was definitely old. Nothing was hot except the fries. The waffles were not edible, the corn was dried up and caked with Cajun seasoning. The beignets were dense and not light or fluffy. Even the presentation was bad everything seemed thrown in the boxes. I don't usually leave reviews but this one I felt obligated to share my experience. I love supporting my people but experiences like this make it very hard to do. They a real manager who can help run the restaurant with some professionalism. I'm sure without all the chillin and talking that it wouldn't take 2 hrs to give customers cold and tasteless food. They got $60 outta of me. But they won't get another dime. I would've shown pictures but we tossed it in the trash and went to Subway and I'm writing this after we just finished our 2nd dinner! I wish you give a place negative stars. I unfortunately will no longer be a patron. I ordered a 10 wing combo and the wings were SOGGY. I intentionally ordered one of my flavors as a dry rub to avoid this. I tried to eat the food but I couldn't finish it and threw it away. I didn't wait long after picking up my food to eat what I could.I decided to call and speak with management. I informed the manager that I love the spot but was disappointed with the soggy food and asked what my options were. The manager wasn't really concerned and stated that the food is crispy when it's made and I would have to have proof that it was soggy. I reminded her that I already threw the food away and she said that she hopes I still support the business but can't do anything because I don't have proof. This would had been a perfect moment to invite me to the location to receive a better experience but there was no bridge. I hope other customers don't experience issues with sogginess. I've been here every week since I discovered them. Close to my job so I order on line then go pick up. Its usually ready when they say it will be. They call me when its ready. So 1st off, My goal is to try All flavors. Our favorite was the Sweet and sticky, But then we tried the Bourbon Pepper. OMG so good. I've always been a lemon pepper, garlic parm person, and they're good as well. You taste the lemon down to the bone! Haven't tried the Korean or Mamas garden. Secondly, and VERY important, these wings are Huge. I can't eat as many wings as I can elsewhere. Seriously 5 piece and some fries, I'm good. Also if ordering online if you're ordering a large count but say don't want as many different flavas as allowed the site will Make you order the additional flavors.. this is annoying. Or it won't let you double order the same side. I found that you can just put request/msg in the Note section to fix this. They've even called me to verify my request. read more

I ordered based on previous reviews. I have to admit the wings were large, as opposed to Wingstop which is where I normally order. However, my food was so salty I could not eat it!! Many of the reviews were saying to try the saucy wings, however I'm not a saucy wing person. I prefer dry rubs. I ordered the Cajun and lemon pepper 10 piece. I expected The wings to have a dry rub. However, they were battered. They were so salty I physically could not finish them. My husband felt the same. We literally threw away 8 wings. We also tried the boudin eggrolls, It was pretty good. I have to say I was very disappointed. More than likely I will not be returning, unless my husband wants to try the saucy wings. On a positive note, the young lady at the register was very friendly, and knowledgeable about the products. This is only the second time I have done a Yelp review. We were supportive and really wanted to give this new business a try. After three phone calls trying to place the order, we decided to make the drive and do takeout. Over the phone we were told 25 mins. On arrival after our 15 min drive, we were told 40 mins. Well I placed the order and ended up waiting and waiting and waiting, for what turned out to be 1 hr. and 20 mins. Sadly, during that time people repeatedly said your order will be ready in 5 more mins. I asked to speak with the manager or owner and had to wait for that. Conveyed to him my experience only to have him make excuses and offered no consideration for the extremely long wait. Walked out to my vehicle only to find out that most of the food from order was lukewarm and no dipping sauce. Come to think of it, I was not even asked if I wanted any. Needless to say, it was not worth the frustration of going back in. Other items: Their menu has been changed so do not rely on the one posted on Yelp, the features and pricing has been changed. Oh yeah, while waiting to speak with the manager/owner I overheard one of the cashiers tell a customer placing an order that the wait was 30 mins... When I mentioned this to the manager/owner he said the wait was over 40 mins. I hope that they improve their overall and can make it however sadly for us it was a $40 lesson learned. read more

I've had this place a couple times now. Ordering online is always an issue. First time it said pick up bit it gave me the next day instead of time it showed as I was making order. Now this time I chose to pick up at 7:25 but once completed yet again it gave me 5:15. I called immediately both times. The first time it happen the lady who answered said we got u just come and it'll be ready. This time the lady who was extremely kind or condescending, told me they couldn't wait til 725 that I had to pickup now bc it said it online which is absolutely absurd if the online ordering taking concluded the wrong info. I asked to speak to a manager but she decided to handle herself to come back to tell that 725 was not possible. As a business owner, you don't accommodate the customer of your online system is flawed. First time shame on you, second time Shame on me....it won't be a 3rd since they thought the beat thing to do was refund my order. Thought y'all were in business to make money. Never again. Wingstop ordering system worked just fine for 7:30. Just dumb!!! read more

I visited Flava Wings yesterday and was more than excited based on the reviews i've read and the long lines i've always seen . I decided to place an order for 10 bone in wings ( garlic parmesan and lemon pepper ). Upon placing my order I was advised that it would take roughly 35 mins. My wings were hot crispy and seasoned very well , but there are several reasons why i have to rate a 4 instead of a 5 . So originally i was told 35 min which is typical based on the amount of orders they are receiving. 1. I waited in my car for about 40 mins before going back inside to check to see if my order was ready. I was told another 10 mins . well 10 mins turned into another 20 mins . 2. Once i was home i noticed my order was incorrect. I had absolutely no garlic parmesan or lemon pepper but instead original and was given 9 wings instead of 10 3. My wings were hot and fresh , but were placed on top of my fries which created new grease to leak and the fries were soggy, greasy and inedible. this place has a long wait, on top of that we waited for about 40 mins inside, with our masks off when one of the workers starts telling everyone in there to put their masks on. at this point we were wondering if we could eat in there so we asked, since they didn't tell us AND didn't have any signs up and they said no. our food came out about 2 minutes after that. these wings are just ok. my best friend and i order the lemon pepper wings, garlic parmesan (both dry) , cajun fries, boudin egg rolls, and beignets. i must say, the beignets or the koolaid we got for drinks were probably the best things. i wish i would've taken a picture of everything because the dry garlic parmesan had NO parmesan on it. it didn't taste like garlic parmesan. the same goes from the lemon pepper, it didn't taste like lemon pepper. both just tasted like fried wings. the "cajun" fries barely had any seasoning at all and the boudin egg rolls were just ok. don't think i'll be coming back here unless i'm pumping gas and want to grab a cup of koolaid. read more
