I picked up a massive Turkey Leg with seafood mac n jambalaya this past Saturday night. The meat was consistently soft, juicy, moist, well-seasoned and smoky. The mac n cheese wasn't as creamy n thick with yellow cheddar as I normally prefer, but it was still very good from supple seasoning, crawfish n shrimp. Seafood mac is really good like this with a similar style to the one from Ruth's Chris. The shrimp n crawfish themselves even tasted good alone. The cheese with the mac didn't overpower the seafood flare and vice versa. The creole cheese sauce on the rice was very good and seasoned with a nice spice to it. The jambalaya was especially savory and flavorful with great moisture as well as seasoning obviously. In TX, this has been the best jambalaya I have had so far. The sausage pieces were tasty and a little crispy too. Great, fast service. I just discovered this place 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon from a popular reviewer and had to try it. Since they were staying with family in Sugar Land and I was driving up from Corpus Christi, I wanted to find something near in them that I knew had good seafood. I got a six pound bag of crawfish that we could all share as well as some gumbo. We had an excellent time and did our best not to be too messy shucking crawfish. The atmosphere was excellent as we were eating, downing drinks, and sharing stories. Lotus Seafood was definitely a good call and we will definitely be back.

Yup, they definitely have a repeat customer in me. First off, one of the easiest ways to get 5 stars out of me is to be CONSISTENTLY good. There are some restaurants I go to strictly for the experience, but quick takeout spots like Flava Wings need to be tried a few times before I feel comfortable leaving a review. I can't speak to the only slightly above favorable reviews (I typically won't try a place ranked lower than 4 stars unless someone I trust recommends it), but I can only speak from my experience. The caveat is that I have never physically been to the restaurant, so my review is based only on the quality of deliveries. For what it's worth, I hear it's in a gas station. There are a couple wing flavors that I'm pretty much addicted to and must order every time I order: the "Ooooweee Sticky & Wet" and the plain, extra crispy. The Sticky and Wet sauce remind me of a tangier version of Chicago mild sauce (if you know, you know). Their wings are full of flavor and always come fresh, hot, and presentable. What I like most is that the wings are on the bigger side but not so big that they look like they're on steroids. They have a nice crispy snap when you bite into them and the texture is always perfect. Another standout menu item is their Cajun corn and the apple pie egg rolls (just try it). The crinkle fries are also good, and I like the seasoning they use on them. They make for a good pairing with the wings. They also offer standard dipping sauces like ranch and bleu cheese. Flava Wingz is definitely a place I'd love to get a catering order from to feed a bunch of people. Everyone I have introduced this place to loves it and is also a repeat customer. I may try actually going in to see what the establishment is like, but honestly, unless I see Master Splinter from Ninja Turtles cooking my food, I will continue to indulge. If you like wings that are fried to perfection, consistently tasty, and well seasoned, give them a shot.

I also ordered a side of potato salad. Let's start with the positives. The potato salad was pretty good. It wasn't heavily seasoned, but adding a little seasoning made a noticeable difference, and I enjoyed it. The fish was another positive. I like my fish fried extra crispy, and they absolutely delivered on that. The texture was exactly what I was looking for. My only complaint is that the fish itself wasn't seasoned, but the hot sauce they provided definitely helped elevate the flavor. Now for the downsides. The shrimp was the biggest disappointment for me. It's coated in a different batter that's more similar to a tempura-style batter, and I simply wasn't a fan. The batter was very fragile and kept falling apart, leaving plain shrimp underneath that had virtually no seasoning. Also, I personally wouldn't consider these "jumbo" shrimp. They looked more like large shrimp to me. The fries were an even bigger letdown. Unfortunately, I don't have anything positive to say about them.
