Ahhhhh !!! Somebody beat me to it !!! Lol but I'm glad , that way y'all KNOW we not lying when we…read moresay that they have the BEST & FRESHEST vegetables and fruits . They make juice out of whatever you'd like ; as well as delicious smoothies . The sandwiches are a hit and the empanadas are usually good (sometimes dry ; if I'm going to be completely honest , which I am !). And while I'm being so honest , let me explain why , although I think they deserve 5 stars , I gave them 4 . I am Puerto Rican , but not FROM there . I was born in the US . Now I say this because when around other ricans in Philly , they treat me funny for not speaking Spanish . It's not that I don't know it , it's just not my first language and I hate being forced to speak it when I don't have to . This is a mom & pop type place . So look forward to very strict Puerto Rican's . I've been coming here for maybe 2+ years and I order the same exact thing . Literally . Now I feel like , if you see me EVERYDAY , literally, sometimes even twice a day , for 2+ years , and I order the same exact thing every time , that the lady making the smoothies would kind of start remembering even a little bit , what I order . I mean c'mon ! They literally try to play me every time ! Even if I go back the same day ! It's super frustrating to me . How can I go to a restaurant and they already know my order , but I go somewhere faithfully for a drink and it's like they never seen me before . I know it's because I don't speak Spanish . How do I know this ? Because while I'm standing there waiting , I see the same faces go through there and they get treated differently . Even the way they talk to other people is different . But whatever . I still love the drinks . All I'm saying is , if you not speaking Spanish , you might feel a little uncomfortable . Unless you're like me and you look past that ! Definitely an amazing little spot . Pretty sure they were on Telemundo . Saw them out front with the cameras and I was super happy for them !

**GOAT ITEM** FATTEH **Michelin Star Restaurant**…read more I love venturing out of our comfort zone and trying restaurant sub-types that I don't have where I live, such as Lebanese. Suraya is located in Fishtown a bit outside the city, but the Uber here was totally worth it. This restaurant is PHENEMONAL! We decided to go with the "A taste of Suraya" for $78 a person. Of course, we started with the Hummous, Baba Ganoush, Muhammara, Labneh, & Taboule which are basically 5 separate hummus that are served as an appetizer. 3 of the hummus I really liked: Hummous - chickpeas seasoned with tehina, lemon & garlic Baba Ganoush - charred eggplant seasoned with tehina, lemon, garlic & urfa biber Muhammara - roasted red pepper and walnut dip * seasoned with chili, cumin & pomegranate 1 Hummus was ok: Labneh - strained yogurt finished with za'atar, tomatoes, cucumber, olives & mint 1 Hummus I wouldn't eat again: Taboule - parsley salad with cucumber, tomato, scallion & mint * seasoned with lemon The absolute star of the night was the Fatteh. The Fatteh is: warm chickpeas, eggplant, crispy pita & tehina yogurt * almonds, cashews & brown butter. An absolute GOAT (Greatest of All Time) food item you can get anywhere. I could eat this thing all day every day. I've never had anything like it anywhere else. As my hot food item, I chose Makanek which were little lamb sausages. I thought they were fine, not out of this world good, but solid. To drink, I had a $16 Throne of Beauty which is: mezcal, ancho reyes, contratto bitter, pineapple, sesame orgeat & grapefruit Unfortunately I couldn't taste any mezcal in the drink so it was basically a fruity drink and not very good. I also had a $17 Obscured Hallows (Old Fashioned): elijah craig bourbon, rittenhouse rye, sherry, brown butter, semolina & date It was much better and exactly on point. For the entree, I had Kawarma: slow roasted lamb * baharat, dill yogurt, cucumber & pomegranate salad The server recommended this as his favorite item on the menu and it did not disappoint. I thought it was absolutely perfect. I made a reservation online. This restaurant is absolutely worth the uber trip outside the city. The food is top notch as was the service. Looks like a cute little area with a lot more bars and restaurants all up and down the street. Highly recommend! Get out of your comfort zone and try some Lebanese food, if you haven't had any!

We had the prix fixe menu and enjoyed all of our items. It's right around the corner from Laser Wolf which is my very favorite restaurant. I wish we hadn't passed Laser Wolf on the way, because I couldn't help thinking all through dinner that the food was very good, but not quite as good as Laser Wolf's. I will say that Suraya wins for dessert. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had kanafeh which is one of my very favorite desserts. The kanafeh was one of the best I've had.

This review is for the products in store, not the parking lot lol…read more Some very nice food at a reasonable price at Aldi. They have some great natural & organic foods here. The Simply Nature ,Never Any and Earth Grown Vegan line offer some tasty stuff priced right. I really enjoy the organic popcorn, multi grain tortilla chips(with their habanero ancient grain salsa) and all the vegan Earth Grown burgers I have tried so far. Found some great deals on organic produce..bananas 49 cents a pound and strawberries for $2.75. Based in Germany, they have some great products imported from there. Nice chocolates, cookies and cakes. The Deutsche Kusche line never disappoints. They have a huge selection of cheese, some good, some not so good. Don't really care for the Happy Farms brand(except for the reserve..hello Irish cheddar). I do love the Australian grass fed cheddar. Not everything here is a great deal, or inexpensive. Nor am I able or want to do all my shopping here. However I enjoy perusing the aisles looking for new products to try. They offer a similar return policy as Trader Joes(which is owned by the brother who owns Aldi) on food. It's called the twice as nice guarantee...item replaced and money refunded.
