The restaurant is in a strip plaza. It is easy to spot. It isn't very large inside but it does have inside sitting. It is a casual place. As you first walk in they have a counter with the displayed food items. A menu and specials are listed on top. You order and pay at the counter and you get your food. This place is more of a takeout spot. I got Jerk Pork. It was very good. The portion was a good size. It tasted good. I got some fried balls that tasted great. I wanted more. The ackee and saltfish dish was good. I bought some patties they only had some left I wish I had bought more. I liked them. I must say I did like the food. The service was friendly. I hadn't been back to this location in a few years, and now that I am no longer working from home, I am able to go to this Flavor's more frequently since it is close to my office. I was there 2 Saturdays ago, and was torn between the Ackee & Saltfish and the Saltfish & Cabbage...tough decision. I went back again this past Wednesday for a late lunch and had the Chicken Soup. They were all so good. The gentleman who was there on Saturday and the ladies on Wednesday were really pleasant and helpful. I will try the lunch special one day next week. read more

The charged $25.99 for a small cold fishing and $5 for a red bull. Food was not that good either. Will not be going back.

Passed by here a couple of times and finally decided to give it a try. I can't say it was anything special of an experience just your basic Caribbean food restaurant with all the jerk seasoned meats and stews. Unfortunately they were out of the jerk pork and the beef patties that were mentioned in their Yelp menu . I believe that's the main reason my husband pulled into the restaurant parking to begin with as those are his 2 favorite items to order at other similar merchants. So the experience wasn't as expected but it wasn't bad. I would probably return again one day, but in no rush. This hole in the wall type restaurant was plainly the happening place in an otherwise restaurant-less strip when I stopped in to pick up lunch while doing get-out-the-vote work during the recent election. You order at the counter and then either eat at one of the few tables or take your lunch off with you (and the latter is all I had time for). I got the large jerk chicken which was big enough that I had left overs for lunch following day. Staff had trouble keeping up during the lunch rush, and there was a line out the door by the time I got my order -- almost everybody besides me who was eating there was Jamaican or from elsewhere in the Caribbean, always a good sign for a place like this. This is my go to spot every time I'm in Fort Lauderdale area for work. The food is consistently good. I usually get the curry goat with rice and peas and gravy on the rice. I have tried the brown stew chicken, and I'm not a fan, but I'm not Jamaican. The cabbage when fresh is good, but if you come in late in the evening it will be soggy. When I ordered, the lady behind the counter probably had her fill of the day so she wasnt too pleasant when I entered. I ordered the jerk chicken meal with some 'special' sauce. Not too sure why it's called 'special' but it was okay; maybe a bit overhyped. I loved the rice and beans but after every other bite, I kept getting small bones in my food so I'd have to fish out those pieces before I swallowed or if I didnt trust it, I spat it out. There's a $5.99 Lunch Special plastered all over the store front, but a strict $10 minimum for cards. Cool. Do you have an ATM? "No." One nearby?
