For Christmas holiday, we were driving to New York from Florida. We found this restaurant while passing thru Fayetteville. We were surprised by the rating and decided to give it a go. My wife easily understood what needed to be ordered for our family. The prices are a little steep, but the flavor was there. The outside looked like a liquor store. I was confused. But the inside looked like a restaurant. There was enough parking and multiple indian people around. We called and was confirmed that the meat was halaal. The wait time was merely 10-15mins. On Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 12Noon I received perhaps the worst response to improper food preparation I've ever experience. I had eaten at this establishment "Flavors of India" previously on several occasions. I purchased well over $35.00 for okra and eggplant entree. I traveled back 50 miles to home and expected the food to be decently prepared and flavored. IT WAS NOT!!! It was terrible. I call back the following day to speak with the manager and was rebuffed and told that the manager was not on duty. Initially, I had sought to inform, but due to the ignorance and defensive posture of the telephone receptionist I realize this business has become completely non-customer friendly but most importantly has lost its ability to offer decent and quality food. I have witnessed in retrospect a decline in service and suggest that others consider what they trade in self esteem and improper food preparation. I personally will never return. Mixed reviews had me weary but glad we went. This next door to an ABC store on E Palmetto St. It is a small cozy atmosphere about 6-7 booths. My wife wanted the Spicy curry goat, she is Jamaican so is use to spicy but the Hot was even too spicy for her. She would go down to the medium next trip. I had the medium hot lamb w rice and normal Naan. Mine was $17.49 for generous portion, hers was about the same price, final bill was $49 before tip. I have to mention the tea was really good. It wasn't sweet traditional but sort of a ginger/spices taste. Friendly/honest staff; my wife accidentally left her purse and waitress brought it to her straight away. Absolutely amazing flavor & great portion sizes! I enjoyed the chicken vindaloo (medium) & husband loved the chicken korma (also medium). You must try their naan as well! We had the basket with 3 varieties and have tried the garlic naan as well, all are robust in flavor but love the garlic! Dining in is a must as the service is top notch & provides a pleasant & enjoyable ambiance full of Indian culture. Order ahead & pick up worked out super as well! We really enjoyed this experience as it was something different than our normal restaurant outing. As soon as you pull up you see the bars on all the windows and the attached liquor store, so it is a bit rough and intimidating. When you exit your vehicle you smell the delicious Indian spices. We enjoyed several naan breads, the vegetable fritters, three chicken dishes and some fried cheese balls for dessert. None of us liked the dessert because the dough was soggy from the overly sweet sauce. We liked all of the chicken dishes with our favorites being the Korma and the Butter chicken. Of course we loved the naan - especially the plain and buttered versions. Pro tip- the garlic naan is VERY heavy on the garlic. Found Flavors of India and loving Indian food as I do I took an 8 minute drive from 95. It was delicious! Friendly , clean, fast service, warm homey dishes and extremely reasonable prices . We ordered the cheese naan, garlic naan, lamb curry, chicken korma, butter chicken and aloo gobi. Everything was delicious! The lamb was tender and the sauce had good flavor. The chicken korma was really good, creamy and good flavor. The aloo gobi was a combination of cauliflower, potatoes in a cumin sauce. The butter chicken had a great sauce and the chicken was tender. The cheese naan was different, tasted like a grilled cheese. It was very good. Overall cute place. The customer service was good. They have a A rating for cleanliness. Everyone loved their food. Starting off with the atmosphere is India even though I've never been. This was my first time trying Indian food and it did not disappoint! That tandoori chicken was my favorite, it came out piping hot and sizzling. The chicken was tender, succulent, juicy, and made me order a to go extra for later. The chicken Marsala was unique in flavor and I love the color. The dish was creamy, seasoned perfectly, comfort and satisfying. Overall my experience was delightful. Which is okay - that's what's expected for a lunch buffet. And they do have the menu if you're in the mood for that instead. Several good options on the buffet including a butter chicken, a chicken saag, something with chick peas, something with paneer, tandoori chicken and naan bread. We came here for dinner one night when we were in Florence on work. After a long day, we were hoping for a good dinner. But we were disappointed. We ordered strawberry lassi, mango lassi, malai kofta, kadahi chicken, aloo naan, garlic naan, chicken mughlai biryani. While ordering, we asked and were told strawberry lassi was made with fresh strawberries, when we got the lassi, it tasted like syrup and not fresh strawberries. The mango lassi was ok. We ate the lunch buffet, & although they were nearing closing time of lunch, if we requested a refill, they would do it. The service was friendly. We had the newest waiter, can't recall his name, & although he was nervous, he was friendly & engaging. He did an excellent job of helping us navigate the dishes. But back to the food! Extremely delicious. Highly recommend. My only issue was the warmers on the bar needed to be turned up because some food was just warm & not hot. I have been here over five times now, that stamps on the fact the food indeed is great. It's very close to food back home. However I still try to avoid this place due to the below reasons: 1) they can't do separate checks. The only way to go is to have the bill evenly split. Imagine if it's a big group, you could end up paying twice as much. Best is to go alone and just pay for your party 2) the server has almost every-time asked me or other guests at the restaurant with waiting the table. This includes passing clean and dirty dishes, utensils ...this is fine dining? 3) some of the items are over priced. This includes small Or tiny sides from $3 to $4. I will still go back whenever I have an indian food craving. It's a blessing to finally have indian food back in florence. However I will not call it fine dining.
