Someone please tell me why it took us so long to get here!!! lol If you aren't paying attention, it is very easy to drive past and not know that there is a hidden gem tucked in next to the Comfort Inn. We both ordered the butter chicken. Hubs got his mild but said he could definitely go up on the spice level. I got the plain naan and he got the butter naan. The butter chicken was so good and packed with so much flavor. The only "complaint" that we had was that we wish the chicken pieces were a little thicker but that's just a personal preference as well. While we were eating, the chef Shawn stopped by to thank us for coming in and to see how our meals were which was really nice. The service is amazing here they are always so kind when I come in. I had this 3 times since I've been here in a work trip and it's my favorite place I've eaten. Their butter chicken and naan have consistently amazing flavor and I wish they had a spot where I live back home lol. Everyone should stop here. The setting was not impressive, an old takeout kind of restaurant building with a parking lot in need of resurfacing. The cuisine was quality, with plenty of spices visible in the kitchen. My aloo tikki chaat came with the variety of flavors you'd expect, and my bhindi masala was fragrant and tangy with abundant gravy that made the garlic naan I got a wise choice so I could mop up my meal. I took some for leftovers. The price was perhaps elevated relative to the experience given the walkability to the beach, but I was happy I stopped in. read more

We were seated right away (around 6pm on a FRIDAY!!) by our amazing and accomodating host/waiter, Shawn. The food was delicious and hot! The samosas were perfectly crisp and tasty, and the Chicken Tikka Masala was both flavorful and filling! And let's not forget, the garlic naan....fresh, hot, and yummy! I have to admit that I am a regular who has dined there at least once a week for the past year (it's the only restaurant that I go to that frequently!). The staff is friendly and attentive - they go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and to make sure the food and spice level is to your taste. The food was delicious when they opened a year ago and amazingly has just gotten better... You can taste the care and love in the way the chef prepares it. I however, loved this place and was a regular when I still lived in Myrtle. The staff was always very kind and accommodating, and the chai perfection. Located off Highway 17 in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Aariv Indian Cuisine is a real treasure of Indian cuisine. The ambiance is casual and comfortable and the aromas coming from the kitchen are heavenly. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making guests feel right at home. For an appetizer, my wife and I ordered Vegetarian Samosas. They were big, crispy, and scrumptious with their curried vegetable filling. For our main entrée, we ordered Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice and Garlic Naan. The Butter Chicken was creamy, spicy, and oh so savory. Pouring the Butter Chicken over the Basmati Rice and scooping it up with Garlic Naan is a combination that can never be beat. Another plus side to the restaurant was that the cost of the meal was more than reasonable considering how divine it was. My only regret is that I did not eat there again during my recent trip. If you have ample time while visiting North Myrtle Beach, don't just eat at Aariv once, but multiple times as it is well worth it. read more

Walked in and greeted at the door by a very sweet gentleman who ended up being our waiter and he was fantastic. We started with the veggie Samosa, which was really great. The dipping sauces were fresh and vibrant. . It came with two, so flavorful. Didn't get a picture bc I was too excited to dive in. We did a chicken and goat dish and easily the best I've ever had. Vegan heaven We had our monthly meet up here on the recommendation of one of our group members, and we will certainly return as a group very soon. Every single person who ordered LOVED their meal. The server clearly knew what vegan means so no one in this vegan meet up was concerned the order would be made with animals in it. They made sure the requested spice levels were met. They were VERY good about making sure requests were satisfied and we had a nice meal! They do not currently have lunch specials but we were told the restaurant was working on a lunch menu. Everything is fresh and delicious! This fast became our 1 to 2 night a week go to. The owner couldn't possibly be any nicer! If you're unsure about Indian food, just ask them. Since they cook everything fresh, they can customize what you like. Keep in mind, you have to wait a few extra minutes for your food because it's made fresh. I totally don't mind, it's worth it. My favorites are samosas and somosas chat for apps. I'm currently working down the vegetarian menu and everything I have had has been delicious. My husband loves their shrimp and fish dishes. This is a very solid Indian restaurant. The food is made with love and the smells are delicious. Don't expect a fancy place with atmosphere , I believe its a former Arby's . The staff is very friendly and will make food suited to your taste. It's not a date night sort of place but more of an Indian Street food style place perhaps better suited to a to-go style arrangement. I think the prices are a tad high but not outrageous . Veg Samosas- 5/5: so flavorful and perfect amount of filling; sauces were on point Chicken Tikka Masala - 5/5: I ordered medium spice and it was spot on; tender and very flavorful and enough sauce to drown the rice, which is what I like to do. Chicken Vindaloo - 4/5: decent spice and flavor, but probably wouldn't order again. Mango Lassi - 3.5/5: a bit thicker than we are used to, but flavor was OK. Chicken Coconut Soup 4/5: this reminded me of food I would've eaten in Thailand - just a plain coconut chicken broth with diced bits of chicken, but it was so good. We also ordered butter roti and garlic naan - both were fresh off the grill and excellent; not too thick or thin - perfect char.
