It took 12 years for Fletcher's Original Corny Dog to be perfected, and it was well worth it. As we took a rideshare to our Dallas hotel and I asked the drive what should be eat at the State Fair of Texas, and the replay was an enthusiastic "Fletcher's Corny Dog". It was great advice! As you can see from my pics we had ours at the State Fair of Texas, but they have a food truck. This dog on a stick had a great snap when you bit into it. The breading was thin, yet had enough coating. I really liked the crunchy outer shell and the cornmeal flavor. Surprisingly it remained hot down to the last bite. No wonder they sell over 500,000 corny dogs at the Fair.

The food truck was organized with to-go bags, napkins, and condiments. Customer service was fast and friendly. Every year I go to the state fair I purchase a Fletchers original corny dog. However, they have never tasted like the ones I received during this visit. Since I was with a group, we each decided to select different ones from the menu provided. Each one was salty but for some reason, the bird dog was extremely salty to the point it had to go in the trash. Two individuals selected the cheezy pup. After taking a bite both realized they were given an original and a bird dog. How does this happen? There had to be no cheezy pup dogs, yet they left it on the menu.

Heavenly corn dogs! They parked their food truck at Clyde-Warren Park in Downtown Dallas today until 4 and the dogs were as delicious as ever- so nice and crunchy! We tried a new menu item called The Bird dog which was turkey. We couldn't tell the difference from the original, it was so good. They are here today only and will be back late October through the fall season. So glad I got my fix before the State Fair starts!

We were at OHB (brewery) this weekend and came across Fletcher's Food Truck!! There was a couple people lined up outside so we headed in and got a beer first and luckily when we came back outside, there was no line!! We went with their original corny dogs at $6 - wasn't a bad price, not the same size you get at the State Fair but a good size. The dogs came out fast, with ketchup, mustard and napkins ready in the bag. The Corny Dog tasted great, no complaints here. I'd definitely hit up the food truck again. They had a couple other dogs too; Turkey, Jalapeño Cheese and Veggie as well as fries and some other stuff plus fried Oreos and funnel cake - outside smelled amazing !!! Great dog, get again !

1963...State Fair of Texas. It was the first Fletcher's corny dog I remember sharing with my dad. I was was 4. Fletcher's has been part of my pleasant memories since then. I've had corny dogs or corn dogs from many vendors and restaurants over nearly 60 years. The taste of Fletchers is the standard I hold all others to. They are of coarser cornmeal, great corn bread flavor, not too sweet, don't fall off sticks and the dog is meaty. With mustard, it is the perfect moistness and overall flavor. Over the years, they've changed slightly, but still close to how they have always been. Fletcher's had some drive thrus at one time. They've added small stands for events at other than Texas State Fair over the years. Recently, they offered them for sale at a fried chicken chain. (Not quite the same flavor due to the oil as they seem sweeter plus the stick is inserted very deep within.) This year, with COVID, they were part of the State Fair Food Drive Thru. Good, but not quite as great when fresh out of the oil slathered in the mustard they provide. I'll be a fan snd customer forever! The

The corny dogs are consistently delicious!!! Always crispy and always hot. We can't hit a fair without eating one.

After eating the fries I took two bites and I was full. It's a lot of food for a great price. Definitely my go to when I don't want to leave the office.

Allows for a lot of options to sit and walk around at. The staff is friendly and creates their dishes with care. There can be a bit of a wait especially when its busy but its expected under the circumstances with popularity and limited staff. The Banh Mi and rice bowl with ginger soy tofu is DELICIOUS. Be sure to add the extra sauce toppings available below the pickup window. The portions are filling too. The prices are a little on the high side but each time I have been here, I have felt it was worth the spend. They range about 9-10 dollars a dish. For parking, there are parking meters near and around Klyde Warren Park and also what I think is the most convenient if you intend on spending a good amount of time in the area, is to park at the Dallas Art Museum parking garage. It is $15 for all day parking but spits you out right across the street from the food truck row. Try this one out for sure!
