Came here for a dinner at the airport. My friend and I got tables by the window. You order using the qr code menu. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was delicious - crispy and not too much batter. The "chips" were just okay. Not bad for airport food but there wasn't much service. My total after tax and tip was about $27 which felt pretty steep. I'd look for better quality to price ratio the next time I'm at this terminal. read more

We've been coming to Lord Fletcher's Wharf for years. Many great lunches or weekend afternoon beers and snacks. NO MORE! We went here 3 times this year and food has deteriorated greatly while cost hS Increased greatly. Chicken Caesar wrap, which used to he delicious, is now 4x as many croutons and chick's triple coated in breading. Don't order it. Turkey club was cheap delicious meat. Nasty. This time we tried the Chicken sandwich. While Chicken was tender, it was lukewarm and tiny. Charged us $1 for chipotle ranch dressing. The only redeeming factor is that fries are good. Fletcher's Wharf appears to be the only restaurant inside Terminal 2 (Humphrey) at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International airport. It's located directly inside the terminal after security. I stopped by the bar here ("Granddaddy's") to order food to-go. Typical pub grub. I tried a bit of of my friend's chicken quesadilla, which was surprisingly good. I recommend it if you like quesadillas. I ended up going with a walleye sandwich for myself. It was about $14 after tip and tax. The walleye was battered and deep fried and was served inside a bun with fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion. The sandwich came with a side of fries along with small containers of ketchup and tartar sauce. A pretty basic meal. It was essentially fish and chips. Overall, I thought everything was good except for the bread, which I took one bite out of and left the rest. The fries were more than enough. I think the kitchen should forego the bread and instead include more fish. I could tell the sandwich was made fresh to order. The fish was tasty. I waited about 10-15 minutes for my order to arrive. I had an early morning flight and I needed to grab something to eat, but I wanted something that will hold me over better than the crap they sell on the plane. I saw this place not far from my gate and decided to go check it out. They had the somewhat expected variety of beverages, chips, packaged sandwiches and salads, plus a number of coffee drinks made to order. Fortunately they also had a few hot breakfast options. My wife and I had an hour before our trip to Seattle so we decided to get a little food to eat, even though it was like 4 in the afternoon and I hadn't had lunch. I ordered the Caesar salad with chicken and it was actually pretty good. The service was pretty good, and would have like a few beers, but they were a little pricey. I still slept pretty well on the plane without the beer. The salad had great dressing and a nice chicken breast, overall, better than average airport food. read more

Remember back several years ago when all airport restaurants really, really sucked, and were still overpriced? Then, somehow, they figured out better ways to do things (or something), and started to suck less. Well, Fletcher's is a throwback to the days when you paid premium prices for terrible food. To be fair, I've only been here once. Hopefully it'll be the last time. The service wasn't bad at all, but it wasn't friendly either, and we were one of only three occupied tables. But the food. So. Damn. Bad. We each got an orange juice to start. I would say it was flavorless, but that's not accurate: it was bitter. There was no actual ORANGE flavor, however. I imagine it was canned, but I'll never know for sure. Oh, and it was $3 per glass, which made me want to punch things. My girlfriend got a yogurt/granola/fruit plate, which had decent-looking berries, but it was tiny, and still somehow cost over $8. I got the breakfast panini. It was terrible, and also not a panini. Instead of a nice soft roll, filled with yummy things and grilled in a press, it was a folded shingle of egg-stuff on plain white toast. It wasn't grilled, and it was sliced white bread, which by definition makes it NOT A PANINI. But hey, the bacon wasn't bad. $9 for this. The french fry nuggets weren't terrible either, but I wouldn't call them "home fries." There isn't much choice for food in this sad little Humphreys terminal, but you'd do better stopping somewhere -- ANYWHERE -- before you get to the airport. read more

If you arrive at the airport early like we do and are not in a hurry and want a decent meal, then this is your place. I want to warn you right away, that if you are in a hurry, this may not be the place for you. They do take their time and if you have time to kill than this restaurant is a nice change of pace from the hectic pace of the airport.. One of the best things about Minnesota is that plenty of places serve Walleye without it being a big deal. Case in point - Fletcher's Wharf - the only real restaurant (with bar and sit down service) inside security at the Humphrey terminal of MSP. We were waiting at the gate after having a huge breakfast when one of our friends walks up saying he got some walleye. I immediately grabbed my wallet and headed for the restaurant. Since I just wanted it to go, I sat at the bar. After eating way too many potatoes over the weekend, I opted for the Walleye Sandwich with onion rings. I knew that I'd made a wise decision when a plate of that order went walking past. As I waited the bartender handed me a plastic cup to put my ketchup in so that "you don't have to deal with those annoying little packets." I opted for mustard instead since I was getting onion rings. Within a few minutes, I had my sandwich and onion rings packaged with silverware and cocktail sauce ready to go. It set me back $19 by the time I tipped, which isn't great, but I did split it with my husband to make me feel a little less guilty. When I got back to the gate, I just had a few bites of fish with really tasty cocktail sauce before having to board the plane. So delicious! A little heavy on the breading, and a little overcooked on the onion rings, but all really flavorful. If you're hungover after attending a wedding in the area, it's a great meal for a taste of Minnesota before flying out. read more

Based on my recent visit, you'll want to avoid this Wharf for fear of plunging into the deep end. (Ba Dum Ching) I arrived early at MSP for breakfast, and really did not want a bagel or something from the usual suspects. I hadn't stopped at a diner on the way into the airport, as I like to arrive way in advance of my flight. I looked around and saw this place, so I headed in. The first thing one notices is the smell. Now, I've been in a lot of bars and restaurants, so I understand that a place with a full bar can smell vaguely of beer. This was a strong, pungent aroma, and should have been my first signal to flee for the hills. I sit down at one of the tables overlooking the runways (which was a pretty great view, really), and get ready to order breakfast. The menu was on the table already, and was pretty grimy. Signal 2... ignore it! I'm hungry! The waitress comes back and I order an omelette, and spent an extra $2 for the "seasonal fresh fruit" that is going to come with it. OK Wharf... maybe you're not as bad as I'm beginning to suspect. As I wait for the food, I realize that this immense place currently has about 7 or 8 tables filled with travelers eating breakfast. I am pretty sure there is only 1 waitress, and she is not what one would describe as "rapid." My food shows up. Oh Lord. I start to tuck into the Omelette, and it is an absolute brick. The eggs are not good, the cheese is disgusting, and the whole thing is just really bad. The seasonal fresh fruit is, wait for it, that same green and orange melon combo that one finds in virtually every crappy restaurant on the planet. It is stone cold, so it has obviously been in a bucket in a walk in, or whatever. Waitress comes back. I ask her to take the fruit off the check, as it is in no way seasonal or fresh. Yeah, I know, I'm being that guy right now but there is no way I can keep that on there in good conscience, especially with my company paying for it. Thus begins the 20 minute, at least, saga of her desperately trying to get her manager out of the back office to comp this thing off my bill. I waited patiently, and man I felt bad for this waitress. The manager was yelling at her from the back, finally walked out and used the card swipe to clear the offending fruit. I gave the waitress a good tip for having to deal with Cruella Deville, and vowed to never return. The food, atmosphere, and experience were all bad. Run for your life! read more

Be careful with wine prices---I was appreciative that my bartender mentioned them prior to pouring me a glass of 18.00 wine....I seem to bypass the other bars each time I visit the airport to do my drinking here....probably because the layout if very nonthreatening and it is a large bar that faces the outside and get a lot of natural light....unlike some of the others that look dark to enter and you aren't sure if when you get inside if there is an open bar stool or one that you would like to sit at. This location is very female friendly....both times I have had my carry on luggage with me and have not had any problem maneuvering around. I have had bloody mary's here and wine. Expect to pay airport prices but do ask before you order wine because they don't even put the prices in the menu..... read more

In our case it was the early mornings so we decided to get breakfast it wasn't anything special the potatoes came wedge styled, the eggs tasted like cafeteria pre-boxed and cooked up to order and the toast was just plain. It tasted like you could cook it up yourself but what do you expect from a airport I guess. But one plus of it all was that the portion was big and I didn't get a chance to finish it all before our plane was boarding people on. read more

The staff weren't that friendly and there was nowhere to sit. We sat at the bar finally and saw the hostess be rude to quite a few people who walked in. The bartender went thru the menu and told us what all on it was bad, which ended up being more than half of it, so it was relatively easy to figure out what to eat. After we were done eating the bartender never came back to take my credit card to pay so we finally dug thru and found enough to cover the tab. Ok so look compared to airport food if you want a place to sit down that might be quieter than a bar go here. When I was there it was busy but not packed or loud. I did not sit at the bar I did sit in the restaurant. For a burger or something basic, especially the things in their menu marked that are their signatures are the best. I had good service. If you have lay over or are stuck and trying to stay by your gate there you can eat there. They were fast and continued to refill my drink, brought us waters, etc. without us having to search for them. Granted when I was there there were people it was not packed so not sure if it were over crowded how great it would be in terms of speed but I certainly enjoyed it. Have I had better? yes! In an airport? Its better than most with the exceptions of Jetblue terminal in NYC JFK and Las Vegas. Their menu had basic options and if I were stuck in the airport again with a delayed flight or connecting I would eat there again. read more

MSP airport food lacks a bit of variety for such a large airport. At least in T2. Fletcher's is a decent airport alternative, but I've certainly had better. Nacho's were average. Fish and chips were pretty good, but service very very slow. I will have to say this was a good place to get something to eat before your flight. I had a few house before my flight so I decided to sit down and relax and enjoy a meal. The service was a tad slow while I was here, but the food was placed on my table very fast, which was a positive as everything was nice and hot. There is free wifi in this Restarurant, so I was able to finish up work while there and the view of the runway and gates close by we're fun to look at. The cost of the food was high, for what I received, but at least it was better than fast food, the waitress had a great smile on her face which made things better. Certainly not the best food I've ever had, but not the worst either. I had the walleye sandwich because the bartender recommended I get walleye anything. It was alright, I kept getting poked by walleye bones and got a little stomach ache a few hours later, but it tasted really good at the time. I liked the sweet potato fries it came with, they just needed some extra salt. The bar is pretty big, so there's lots of space to pull up and kill an hour chatting with a stranger. The tall beers were about ten bucks for a specialty beer, which I didn't think was unreasonable for an airport. Overall the Wharf was OK, I will probably check the food at barrio on the other end of the terminal first next time, but I would consider coming back for drinks. read more

The problem is unless you want to purchase pre-wrapped sandwiches from a cart there really is nowhere else to go in the Humphrey Terminal. A tomato and mozzarella salad is not a salad of pico de gallo and shredded mozzarella cheese. A burger should taste better than the cardboard bun. Not everything needs to be cream based or fried. Buffalo wings should not smell like rotting meat. Service in an airport should be fast and attentive. The bar looks cool and I love the boat in the middle. read more

This place is awful. Recent improvements have been made to Humphrey (Terminal 2) and there are far better options. I had the fresh tomato and mozzarella salad. I assumed this would be a caprese salad, boy was I wrong. Cherry tomatoes and dried out shredded mozzarella with wilted lettuce should be the description. You are not going to find restaurants with worldwide acclaim in an airport terminal, everyone knows that. But these reviewers that believe food on the airplane is better are being ridiculous. And the gentleman who paid $8 for a beer should have noticed it was a 24 oz glass. Two things have me ranking Fletcher's Wharf as a 4-star establishment... the service and the management. I visited MSP on 6 consecutive Friday's for work, with time spent at Fletcher's each week. After quietly having 2 beers and a turkey club during my first visit, I never expected to be remembered 7 days later. Nevertheless, the lovely bartender Mel greeted me as I sat with a "Hey, nice to see you again... another Blue Moon?" How can you ask for anything more than that? On another visit, the manager worked feverishly to find the Cubs/Sox game for me on one of a thousand channels and didn't quit until he was successful. Bottom line is the food is fine, all 6 weeks I had pleasant conversation with the staff and travelers alike, and I left with a smile each time. Keep it up Mel et. al at Fletchers! read more

Not bad for an airport bar, which is useful seeing as there are literally no other choices in terminal 2. This also means you're probably going to have to wait a while for a seat. The bar tender was yelling literally across the restaurant to a server.
