Been holding this review off for a year at most. I just had to go in a second time now that I'm back in town to make sure that when I went in the first time - I wasn't dreaming. Their selection is fantastic, the quality of everything in this bakery is turned up to 11. The quality of service here is unmatched, even if it is just a walk up counter and coffee bar. I'm personally a die hard kouign-amann fan, and have been treated to probably one of the few places that know how to do kouign-amann in Montana. I am confident that anything you get here will leave you craving more. And don't even get me started on the coffee, arguably some of the highest quality coffee/espresso in Whitefish, and they know their sh*t. I would put these guys over anyone else in WFish if you are looking for a morning pastry and latte. Take my word for it! read more

Really lovely bake shop and amazing coffee right in downtown Whitefish. The croissants, scones, and pastries are so light and authentic- very French feel. The frittata left a bit to be desired, not really much flavor even though it boasted of goat cheese, leeks, scapes, and kale- wish I had hot sauce for it. I love this bakery! I tried the fluffy frittata with goat cheese and butternut squash, and it was heavenly, like an delicious egg cloud of goodness. And the coconut macaroons are the best I have ever tasted. Chewy, coconutty and sweet, with the perfect brown crunch on the bottom. I've got to go back soon! read more

My review is primarily based on my experience paying for my food. Food and coffee was great. However, I take offense any time someone openly solicits a tip from me when all they did was hand me a cinnamon roll and then cash me out. The cashier asked me if I want to add a tip to my purchase. What do I say, "No"? I'm not in a habit of tipping every cashier, and yet Here I was about to be judged by someone and all around me if I answered "No". That immediately made me feel cornered and angry. A tip jar is one thing, but forcing someone to answer that question is very poor taste and Poor customer service. I won't be back. read more

My wife and I went to this bakery for the first time today. I ordered a mocha and my wife a cappuccino. My wife was very happy with her coffee, and I thought mine was pretty good. We also ordered a brownie and almond poppyseed muffin and quite honestly they were the best we have ever had. The bakery itself is very clean, great atmosphere, and very friendly employees. Extremely disappointed in this bakery. I went in to order a cake and the service was good. I bought some cookies and a croissant while I was there. The chocolate chip cookie, ginger molasses cookie, and the croissant were all excellent. This is the only reason for the additional star in this review. I ordered a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream, and raspberry and BlackBerry filling. The cake looked beautiful when I picked it up. Unfortunately it was inedible. The buttercream was tasteless, the cake was likened to stale white bread, and the filling was sparse and tasted like cheap jam. We had it for a birthday party and the entire cake ended up in the trash. My nephews ages 8, 11, and 13 even said that it did not taste good. Lucky for me, I had a back up of rice krispie treats! That plate was cleared. read more

We love Fleur! Everything the team makes is absolutely delicious and so beautiful. I love the caneles- they're the best I've ever had. Don't miss them at the farmers market on Tuesdays! Also, we ordered 29 dozen macarons for our wedding- in six flavors: huckleberry, vanilla, lemon, bourbon, chocolate coconut, and rosemary, and they were all OUTSTANDING. Eating a few macarons with my husband after all the wedding activities calmed down was one of the highlights of our wedding! We highly recommend Fleur and only wish we lived closer to Whitefish so we could visit them every day :) read more

This was weeks ago, today my fiancé received an email from the owner stating she had made personal arrangement during our wedding and was just going to cancel doing our cake. At this point the other shops are booked and this is a very low way to do business. I would not recommend going with this shop for any important events in your life. I completely understand emergencies but I work in the hospitality industry and would never make personal vacation arrangements over a guest or customer I have made a deal to do business with. read more

To satisfy any guests who preferred a sweet other than cake, she also ordered rhubarb galettes and macaroons. Wedding planning can be stressful, but Fleur took care of the cake - the centerpiece of the reception - without any glitches. I also recommend visiting their shop in Whitefish for a sit-down coffee and sweet on the sidewalk. Horrible customer service. We have been trying for literally two months to make an appointment to schedule our wedding cake. Finally we locked in the date just a few weeks ago and today got an email, not a phone call for them to tell us they made personal obligations now and will not be able to make our cake. I work the wedding shows and work directly with many people in the industry and will be providing my feedback when asked for recommendations. Another event planner had bought a cake for my birthday from this location and this is why I went there. Don't commit and then bail on local customers who have sought you out for a service. Pretty frustrated with this bake shop. They do very beautiful cakes but the cake I received was extremely dry! Also, when I spoke to the lady on the phone I had asked for fresh flowers on the cake because they had it advertised on their Instagram account. She told me they didn't have any this time of year. This was 5 days ago and today the just posted beautiful pictures of cakes with flowers shown on their Instagram story. Plus they have prices on their board in their shop that specifically shows you can add flowers. Don't advertise and then lie to a customer that asks for it. Bottom line, not worth $45. read more

A true gem in the heart of Whitefish. After living around the world for 30 + years and sampling coffee and pastries in many, many places Fleur Bake Shop is as good as it gets. Since opening in their new location two weeks ago they have been overwhelmed by their popularity and are making a tremendous effort to adjust to unprecedented demand for their hand made, home baked goodies! If you want factory made hum drum fare you will need to look elsewhere but if you want hand made delicacies you will need to get there early! Wow! I can't believe we have this level of French patisserie in the Flathead! Delicate macarons, moist-and-slightly-gooey canelés, and tons more.
