Had a great stay here - been to the area several times but stayed at Armada for the first time. Ocean front room , twin bed, balcony & right on the boardwalk. Gorgeous views from most part of the hotel. Includes indoor swimming pool, sunroof, parking, laundry & more. Amenities inside the hotel were great and well-maintained. Cleaning staff did not show up one day & it will be nice to have an in-house kitchen. read more

The Armada is a wonderful establishment for many reasons. The oceanfront kitchen suite has a balcony with such a beautiful view of the ocean, with the entertainment of people watching below. The entire hotel is immaculate with updated features. Most importantly, the staff are hands down some of the kindness, genuine and most gracious people I have ever encountered. They truly care about everyone and have our best interest at heart. I truly have the time of my life when I am in Wildwood/ Cape May and my soul is at peace. It's sad when it's time to pack up and make the long journey back home. But I feel blessed and I am truly grateful that for one week in the summer, I can call the Armada home once more. read more

CAUTION - If you want to sleep in; this is not your place. Monday - Saturday in the park directly next store they blast house and electronic music starting at 8:15 AM. Super weak. Regrettably the no sleeping really ruins the ambiance. Go somewhere else that's relaxing. read more

The Armada ratings need to be more 36 stars! Ten stars would be just right. The whole staff makes us feel welcome and like family. Each year we see the yearly improvements and upgrades. Love the showers and water pressure. The view of Sentential park and the concert events make it a bonus for deck dinners and free entertainment. The owners are always available and assist in many ways with special request. The total no smoking policy is the icing on the cake. We have been coming back for the past five years and the Armada is our go to place in Wildwood Crest. read more

My boyfriend and his family have been staying here for a long, long time - at least 20 years they've been coming in the month of June, for a week. Every. Year. I've experienced this tradition two times so far, and now I'm starting to get infected. This place is really wonderful. It's in an awesome location on the beach, and its in just the right area to avoid the noise and hassle of being by the boardwalk. During the day, leave your door wide open, and let the sea breeze in. Sit on the balcony, read, and listen to the ocean. When you feel like, go lay on the sand, then swim in their pool for as long as you'd like. I'm not a huge pool person but I love swimming in this pool because the water is so clear, and deep and the right temperature. It's very approximate to everything, including great restaurants, and a bike rental place. You can bike down to the boardwalk in the morning, which is also a great, fun thing to do. The rooms themselves are just right. The beds and linens/comforter could be softer, but they clean it everyday and the bathroom is nice. The TV gets a lot of channels and the AC can get very, very cold! They also include a mini-fridge, microwave, and a large, large dresser, along with a little table. The room, no matter the size, is packed with things. They also have a grill on the premise and one time we cooked for ourselves. This place has everything and its just the right price. It's clean, family friendly, close to the beach. I think the fact that my boyfriend's family has been returning for longer than I've been alive can attest to this place. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I am writing this review solely based on service as I didn't even get the CHANCE to get to Armada. We were called 5 days AFTER tropical storm Isaias at 6:30 PM on a Saturday to be told that our reservation had to be cancelled due to damage to the building. While I 100% understand that we were unable to stay in our ocean front room, I have never experienced worse customer service. That day, we had already booked non-refundable excursions throughout Cape May and Wildwood Crest. We lost a lot of money because Armada By the Sea called us at 6:30pm DAYS LATER. While on the phone questioning why we were receiving a call so late in the week and at night, the receptionist yelled "WELL I HAVENT BEEN SITTING ON MY BUTT ALL DAY!" Completely unprofessional. Instead of completely canceling our stay, we should have at least been offered another room or different week. I stay in Wildwood Crest and Diamond Beach often and I have never experienced anything like this. I understand that bad reviews can tarnish a reputation as I also work in the service industry, but this deserves to be noted. I was so excited to stay here and I was let down. read more

I stayed at this place for a family trip and I definitely recommend it. Friendly staff, great location, super clean. The place is very well kept. Great pool and amazing views of the beach... it's just steps from the sand! We stayed 2 nights and when I checked out, the woman at the desk told me we were more than welcome to stay and use the pool after checking out! She just reminded us to move our car off the property and pointed out where to find free parking. We just put the car right across the street at a metered spot and enjoyed the pool for a few more hours. Overall we loved it! read more

Stayed here the last weekend in July 2014. We really liked this place. It is in the quieter Wildwood Crest but still walking distance (if you like a good mile or so walk) to the busier parts of the board walk (although only about 10 blocks to the shops at the very south end of the boardwalk) and the busier parts of town. Right next to the beach and overlooks a really well-kept park that had a concert on Saturday night. We have a baby so we were a little worried (being in a room closest to Ocean Avenue and on the 2nd floor where the big deck was right outside our room) that it would be too noisy, but it wasn't. It was super quiet. It wasn't one of those places with paper thin walls where you can hear everything the people around you are doing. It was a very family friendly place. Lots of kids. The park across the street was perfect for families with young children who want to go play T-ball or run around. Modest but clean pool. Wasn't over crowded. We were still able to get a lounge chair even though we didnt' go down until around 11 on Saturday. Rooms are also modest but a good layout. Pretty dated, but I think that is true of most places in Wildwood. Very few seem to be recently renovated. We had a "C" room which had a separate back bedroom and a front room with a pull out bed. It was comfortable and clean. Not huge, but not small either. Full size refrigerator which was nice. Would have given it 5 stars except for a few things: 1. It was a little pricey for the accommodations. We paid $535.00 for two nights. This is a little higher than some of the other places in the area; however, we were able to get just 2 nights. I think a lot of the hotels do 3, 5, or 7 night minimums in July and August. 2. They will not give you a late check out regardless of what day you are leaving. When we ended up being 20 minutes late checking out the guy at the desk made a flip comment to my Husband about us being late. "Hope you had a nice stay" would have been more appropriate considering we had just paid over $500 to stay there for two nights. They do accept credit cards for your final payment; however, they charge you a 3% fee. read more

I've been going to wildwood for years. Worst hotel experience I've had ever! We booked for 3 nights 4 days. Arrived on a thur. First night spent there watched several guest come home drunk. Stumbling, singing and yelling at 7pm at night in front of my children. Guest in pool area drinking in front of children. Parking garage had over whelming smell of marijuana. No staff around. We left Friday evening 2 days shorter than we booked due to the loudness and house keeping not even asking us if we needed our room clean. Mind you I have 2 small children. Ages 2 and 3. She saw us multiple times because she was cleaning the rooms due to check out next to us. I also had sign on the door asking for it to be cleaned. This was not a child friendly hotel which they claim. I received a phone call from the hotel Saturday afternoon to ask if I had left. I emailed them and explained what had happened during our stay. Received an email back by someone by the name of gina who expressed how sorry she was for our experience. She offered to give us back 1 nights stay because we left early. On September 14th they said they mailed out a check. It was sent to the wrong address. Received another email by someone named Bonnie who stated again they sent out one to current address on 24th. I have yet to see either check still. I emailed them back and stated they can keep their money i honestly don't want it. They clearly don't care about customer care. If you want to have a nice family experience in wildwood this hotel is not for you. read more

I'm so glad we stayed at the Armada! The office staff as well the cleaning staff are always so pleasant, professional and courteous. Their rooms are nicely sized, updated and most important CLEAN. Can't wait to go back with my family next July! Enjoy the concerts in the park. Some mornings there is Zumba in the park. You can't hear the music in your bedroom which is all the way in the back of the hotel room, only when you open the front door, so I've never had an issue with sleeping in. I have no complaints and recommend this hotel to everyone. read more

I came here for memorial day weekend but the price was surprisingly much lower than other places I looked. I payed around 160 for 3 nights and I feel like this is an incredible price, especially considering the quality of the place. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well regulated in terms of temperature. The maid service was excellent and unobtrusive. I did not see them once but when I came back from breakfast, everything would be very clean. I also loved the location right next to the beach and they conveniently had a water hose outside near the parking lot to wash down after the beach. Parking was extremely convenient here, so much that we ditched the car and walked everywhere. I will definitely come back soon. read more

We just had the pleasure of spending the last week at this inviting clean terrific hotel. This was a stay at the top of our list for every category. It is run and owned by a wonderful friendly family. It is maintained perfectly with a friendly immediate response for any reasonable request by the staff. Our suite was perfect (there were 4 adults and 2 young children) and the accommodations were great. Aside from the close proximity to the huge beautiful beach, there is a sparkling pool to accommodate all comers, The location could not be better. There are many terrific restaurants just minutes away. In short, we loved this place and cannot wait to return next year. read more

I had stayed here as a child with my parents, and hadn't been back in years, but I finally returned, and I was very pleased. Wildwood is not know for plush, 5 star hotels. The hotels are older, and that definitely adds to their charm and appeal. The good news is most are modernized, well maintained, and very clean. The Armada is no exception, and in Wildwood, it is a 4-5 star property! The staff is very polite and helpful. The room was updated, modern, and very clean. The price is slightly higher for the area, but you are in the quietness of the Crest, and you are right directly on the beach! Overall, I'm glad that I returned. My family now loves it as I did once, and I look forward to returning! read more

The motel its self is great, I just checked out the other day and the best part is being by Centennial Park sitting out watching concerts. I lost $100 in my room which has been driving me crazy, I put it in my draw and I went back the next morning and it was gone. The room did not have a safe which was absolutely ridiculous. I know it couldnt have been the maid because I lost it after they came. The maid service was fast and pretty good just carpets werent too clean and they never wiped mirrors down. read more
