Order online for pick up. Get home and the Meemaw's dip is burnt. Had it a week ago and it was creamy and perfect. Can't even get it off the bottom of the dish. Called the store and Bret was minimal help. Tried to tell us it comes out a little brown. This is more than brown. This is burnt and dry. So disappointing.

A must when you visit Bloomington. Many beers on tap, food is great. We had the carnivore pizza, and Mac attack. Both were great but the Mac attack was by far my favorite. Delicious. Great flavor. The cheese curds were great too! Love the decor with all the taps around the perimeter of the space. Service was fair. We never were offered drink refills. Highly recommend

Awesome place! Pizza was outstanding! We ordered the Ticking Time Bomb" pizza because we like it spicy and we loved it. Could have been spicier for my taste but the mix of topping/cheese/sauce was good. The beer selection was nice and I was able to have a couple new ones I'd never tried before. Service was attentive and friendly with good timing. We also enjoyed the multiple TV's with football on so we could keep up with the games! Recommend this for good food and drinks!

Time for flinger rolls, round 2! Is this a revisit or a new review? A bit of both since I've had Flingers many times but it was in an older building in another part of town. My dad and I talk fondly of Flingers and their famous flinger rolls so we decided to stop talking about it and drop in for a meal. Upon entering, we waited in line until we told the people at the hostess counter that we would like to dine in. The hostess had a bit of a snobby attitude but we got seated quickly and had a friendly waitress come out and greet us. We got waters and looked over the menus despite knowing what we were already going to get. My dad and I both got three flinger rolls with jalapeno, pepperoni, and sausage in it and got some bread sticks as an appetizer. Despite the crazy crowd coming in for the even more crazy lunch deals ($1.95/slice is insane, imo.) the bread sticks came out after about 5-7 minutes. We quickly dug in as we both didn't eat breakfast and were starving. Shortly after that, the flinger rolls came out and looked delicious. The bread sticks, while good, seemed a bit airy and not as filling as they initially looked. They came with marinara and cheese dipping sauce and were good either sauced up or not. The flinger rolls also had that airy vibe to them. I mentioned to my dad that after 3 bread sticks, I won't be able to put down the rolls but as I started eating... there seemed to be plenty of room for everything. We requested marinara sauce and spicy ranch as our dipping sauces and boy, did they compliment the rolls really well. As we finished, I mentioned to my dad that I was full but not really at the same time. I don't think I could've ate much more but knew that within an hour or so, that fullness would be replaced with emptiness. It's a shame that the rolls aren't as filling as I remember because it did seem like they were light on the toppings and having to pay for the toppings per roll for each roll gets pricey quick. Our bill was around $46 for 6 rolls, a thing of bread sticks, two waters, and a unsweet tea. I was super hyped to have a flinger roll again after so long but maybe the rose-tinted glasses were on today because while the food was super delicious and fresh, it felt like the toppings on the rolls have gotten skimpy and the rudeness of the hostess upon entering dropped it from a 5 to a 4. Still a really good place for pizza, beer, and various other menu items but it definitely lost some of that charm that the old place had.

Busy Saturday lunch time. First time here. Staff stayed upbeat and in control, not a hint of panic. What lured me here was the Flinger Rolls. Holy smokes! You'll understand when I highly recommend these beauties. I got 4 and ate 2 and was content. Cannot wait for later to demolish them. Clean friendly light atmosphere!

I love trying local restaurants when I travel. Especially pizza. I must say the reviews were great so I gave it a shot. The staff was very friendly , the place was packed so it was a local hangout. Atmosphere was fun so there were no issues there. The pizza did have a fair amount of ingredients but for some reason the cheese was not there. I would have given a 4 if the cheese was covering the whole pizza. Everyones taste is different but I like a lot of ingredients and cheese with a New York style crust. It's hard to find that perfect pie. Can't win ''em all. Maybe the next time I try it I will have to order extra cheese.

The food was delicious and the service was good. We got the 2 rolls for $5 deal and let me tell you...yummy! I got the recommended Italian Beef with Giardiniera and red sauce. The food was still warm after delivery. The filling was rather full, and the ingredients are fresh and tasty. Each roll you can have 3 toppings and 1 dipping sauce. I deducted one star because they don't allow you to choose different toppings for the 2 rolls. read more

This is my first time stopping in and will stop again. The pizza was great, a wide selection of craft beer. The service was lacking when it came to getting another beer. The only reason they are getting a 4 instead of a 5. It was not too busy; They must have had an off day. read more

Used their "call ahead seating" to reserve space for a group. Then was told after we arrived that they couldn't hold any table, though were currently setting up a table for a future group of 8. Lost my business, won't go back. read more

Flingers is probably my favorite pizza in blono. It's a great bar pizza if you (like me) like that style. It's also really convenient that they have a drive-thru so I can stay in goblin mode when I go pick it up. Service is always fast and when we occasionally eat at the restaurant the outdoor area is nice. Also a super awesome place for a quick bite to eat over lunch. read more

We found this joint on Yelp and decided to try it out! We did the Beer Cheese Bacon dip, Cheesebomb (add sausage, and we all got one or two 'flinger rolls'. The beer cheese bacon dip was amazing. We ate all the pita pieces and the dip was gone! It was a for sure hit. Sooo yummy!! The cheesebomb was super good and especially the edge pieces with the crispy cheese. I'm quite picky about sausage and it was super good even to me! The rolls were interesting. I got a jalapeño bacon pepperoni one and an Italian beef & bacon one. Both were good but I don't know if I'd get the halepeno one again just because I'm a wuss with spicy and it was pretty spicy lol. All the staff members were super nice and attentive and it was a great spot! We were in a hurry and had errands all day so we didn't drink BUT they had an extensive draft beer BOOK so we said were def coming back for some drinking!! read more

Flingers has any awesome name, great recipes, but it's your average pizza place. I've ordered from Flingers 3 times and each time was just okay. The pizza is not very flavorful. Their delivery is VERY slow and they didn't communicate that our 2 pizza delivery would take over 1hour 45 minutes. read more

The food is okay, the beer is excellent. Great choice of beers with local and regional brands on tap. The food kind of fell short- I expected bolder flavors from the flinger rolls and farm bombs- just didn't have any bold flavors. Liked the appetizer of the month and love the variety and creativeness of the menu. Would come back, but definitely don't have to. read more

We still don't venture into the craft pizza pages of the menu...and yet we love this place even more since the grand re-opening. At this point, our 4.5-star rating is all about the staff, including the management team that really seems to cultivate a family atmosphere for both staff and customers. They truly are both hard-working and friendly...and other than the higher in-town (White Oak) beer prices ($6.50 Is simply out of line for central il), there isn't much we don't like about the place. Oh ya, my significant other reminds me...the parking can be a problem during peak times. To this I say 2 things: 1. Use the abandon lot immediately across Vernon, or 2-doors down at Clay Dooley aft 5! 2. There's a reason for that. read more

This is a cool place to visit if you like pizza and beer. The vibe is very chill. They have tons of beer tap handles to check out and their book of beers and drink is laid out like a binder of trading cards! (Amazing idea!) The beer selection is great and you can also order online and pick up at the drive through window. The best thing to do is go on days with deals such as Monday and Sunday for half off beer. Worth checking out even though the pizza is okay. read more

What a fun pizza place! Had the vibe of an old style Pizza Hut but had food that was actually worth eating! I got the Super Freak and a smaller cheese bomb, both were so delicious, the Super Freak was filled with excellent fresh toppings. Huge craft beer selection. I'm not in Bloomington, Illinois often but I'll make it a point to stop in next time I'm around! read more

Quality of food has really gone down. Cheese bombs should be cheesy but the last few times the cheese has been crusty and brown and like there's no cheese on it at all. I've even put in notes to please not cook it to the cheese is crunchy and brown but it still keeps showing up like that. It's a shame to spend$50 on food that most of it gets thrown away. I keep going back because this was one of my favorite places but after today's terrible order I'm done. read more

After months of wanting/planning to come here we finally made it happen before we moved. This is a great place to hang out, have good food and maybe even watch a game. The atmosphere is very laid back and fun decor. We tried the Winner Winner Chicken Dipper which was really good but a little on the dry side - it not really a dip. The "chips" that they serve with the dip is one of the best things I've had. I tried to stop eating them but couldn't stop myself. I'm someone who liked a side salad with their pizza and this place actually puts the salad together and it isn't just dumped into a bowl from a bag. The pizza is good, great crust. Definitely regret not checking out this place sooner. read more

I had Flingers the first week I moved here to Bloomington. I cannot express enough how much I love their pizza. It's the first place I take anybody into town. Flingers is the best pizza/pub place I have ever been too. The food you order there is amazing you can't go wrong with a cheesebomb or a pizza. They also have a great craft beer selection there that can please anyone's taste. The customer service is excellent too! One of the best pizza experiences I've ever had!!! We were staying in town overnight and my kids wanted pizza. There are a lot of places to pick from, but we decided to try Flingers! It was AMAZING! We ordered Saturday night and it took only 45 minutes for pick up. Today is Tuesday and I'm still daydreaming about their delicious (and unique) pizzas! Yummmmm! read more

Pub II is a good place for watching games or any sports. Has good specials on drinks. The food is pretty average as expected. A pretty crowded place and last time here it was crazy. It's got plenty of room inside but there's mostly empty space in the middle. This is so there's a place for dancing, twerking, or whatever. Afternoons are less hectic but still busy. This is where to watch football on weekends. Even so, we were able to get seats at the bar. It's about $6 for Jameson. Good price to be honest. The food isn't anything special. Especially limited in healthy options. It's about $9 for the Jumbo Bavarian Pretzel. Big ass one good to share among a few. This comes with beer cheese and honey mustard. This is good with regular mustard too. Other food options include greasy burgers. This is more of a place to drink than to eat to be honest. Campus bar that has some good prices on beers and food. It's open late. This is also close to the Amtrak station.

I got cole slaw, which is homemade and tastes fine but is a little goopy for me. The Rings of Kerry (onion rings) were huge. Crispy with that wonderful Guinness beer batter. They also pack a punch with the amount of oil in them - definitely need a drink with these (it's a slight grease overload). Good pub-type options, and I want to try a few of their other offerings.

Here is what you need to know from someone who waited a LONG time for them to come back and could not be happier. At least one night a week I will not be cooking because I'll be here: 1. Go in person. Why? Craft beer. 24 taps deep. Yes. 2. Sit on either side. They have 9 flat screen TVs and no matter where you sit you can see them AND taste beer before you buy it. See #1. 3. Order a Tiny Bomb with Spicy Ranch dipping sauce. Eat this with your tasty beverage while you figure out what else to order. A tiny bomb is a mini cheesebomb. A cheesebomb is like cheesy garlic breadsticks but not really. It's its own food group. 4. Order Flinger Rolls. One per person. I recommend stuffing them with Bacon, Chicken, Mushroom & Onion. Cuz I'm me. But you be you. (with Spicy Ranch dipping sauce) 5. Order a CRAFT pizza. Don't change it, love it for who it is! My fav is the Super Freak or The Diva (for those times I want to feel "healthy) 6. Order another beer. 7. Pay and tip your server. Sometimes as customers we are mean and snotty. But not you. Best craft beer and pizza in Bloomington-Normal. What makes a Flingers pizza better than the others? IMO, it's the (secret) crust recipe, the type of cheese they use, and the hefty amount of fresh toppings. No matter what you order, I'm sure you'll quickly see why Flingers is a local and student favorite. What makes the craft beer better than the others? IMO, it's that there's 24 taps of it - only a few other places have that many. Plus, there's always a variety of styles - some IPA's, hefe's, browns, porters, stouts, lagers, and some seasonals - so no matter what you like, it'll be on tap. And all 24 taps are craft beer - there's no bud, miller, or coors taking up valuable tap space, so you always get 24 actual craft selections...all outlined and described for you in a separate beer menu. Better pizza than national chains with great beer selection. The Monthly Fling is a nice change up for the adventurous who won't get worked up over nontraditional ingredients on their pizza. I haven't encountered an unfriendly employee in any of my visits. For delivery on weekends, order early or be prepared to wait for 2+ hours. Pickup is the better option if you order past 5 PM. The online ordering portal is a bit clunky, but gets the job done. Or maybe it doesn't. It can be working fine when you start an order, but when you try to checkout you'll receive an error stating that the online ordering system is down and you'll have to call in your order. Overall, I highly recommend Flingers, especially if you're dining in. read more

If you want a nice sampling of craft beers and a different menu than the same crappy pizza joints, Flingers is an excellent option. The staff is attentive and accommodating. Plenty of TV's to watch your favorite team. I couldn't commit to a pizza but settled for a couple of Flinger rolls that hit the spot. Stuff them and dip them with whatever your heart desires. Great beer and pizza at the same place, does it get any better? My wife and I love craft beer and she is addicted to the taco pizza. The kids love the carnivore pizza, breadsticks and fries. Their wings are top notch as well. Great family place and more affordable now that they have specials. We had lots of memories at the old Flinger's and are happy they are back, the service has always been great and the pizza is as good as ever. Hope they bring back the $10 gift card when your beer blows the keg. read more

Great food and one of the best beer selections in town. I was there a week ago with a group of friends. We were seated outside by the host and after a couple minutes a friend went inside to make sure the server knew we were there. No big deal... miscommunication happens. A couple minutes later the owner came out apologizing for the wait and gave us a free large cheese bomb. It wasn't necessary but it was very much appreciated by our group. Went there for lunch and ordered single slices instead of a whole pizza. First two were fine. Then ordered some more and instead of giving me the new stuff that had just come out, they gave me the old stuff. I didn't complain at the time because I was in a hurry. We go here at least once a month to try the fling of the month, usually more. They never disappoint on the pizza. The pizza may look more pricey but the ingredients and quality make up for it. Hands down the best pizza around. I miss Nashville hot chicken and Korean BBQ monthly fling. read more
