Flinger's never disappoints. Their specialty pizzas are a true treat. My fiance has a dairy allergy, and Flingers is one of the few accommodating pizza joints out there (no dairy in the sauce or dough). They also have gluten-free pizza as well. You can order online, but we usually order over the phone, and every time, it has been easy to order over the phone (friendly service and background noise is not too loud (unlike some other pizza joints)). We absolutely love the different specialty pizzas. The Prospector is my personal favorite, but you really can't go wrong here. We have yet to explore the rest of the menu outside of specialty pizzas, but if it's anything like their selection of specialty pizzas, I am sure the rest of the menu is a real treat. We have always carried out, but the atmosphere of this place seems inviting and trendy. Plus, good sports on the TVs and lots of different craft beers on tap for the enthusiasts out there. Even their Pub Salad is a wonderful treat (but it may be worth it to many to use that money on more pizza instead). Absolute best pizza in town! Great beer selection, good daily specials! Great servers, great bartenders. We are from out of town , but when we visit the area for our boys at ISU we have to visit flingers pizza ! They have the best pizza , wings , beer and cheese bombs around ! Pretty good casual pizza place! I was impressed with their gluten free pizza! None of their menu pizzas seem super appetizing but you can't go wrong with a "make your own." My one small complaint is that there wasn't much of a crust. The cheese and toppings were all the way to the edge. I love a good crust so that was my only issue. The service was really good, friendly and funny. This place is definitely more family oriented as it gets really loud. It's a nice open layout with a separate bar area. I'd probably opt for coming in on a quieter night or at least later in the evening once all the families with kids are gone. read more

I would like to say although the food is very good, i've had a disgusting service experience with a manger there that goes by the name nick. He is rude, disrespectful and incompetent. I called to order a Pizza to which in the end after i was read the price of 24.95 i was told my subtotal had to be over 15 dollars (at the time it is was 14.02) i asked the person over the phone if they were serious he replied his manager told him so, they then said if i wanted my food id have to buy more food to get it delivered. Up until this point this was fine but i've ordered pizza before and i wanted to know why all of the sudden the change. So the gentleman puts his Manager "nick" on the phone and i am greeted by a repulsive manager, i don't know how long this nick guy has been working there but there is no reason that when a customer inquires about you asking him to spend MORE money for MORE food he did not want he should be treated with such disregard. i expect idk to be treated with respect and some understanding of the confusion. This nick guy is a real price of work, he was unbearably rude, uptight and overall a piece of crap. Managers like him really put a stain on a place like this with GREAT food and up until this call great service, really sad to see someone like him have some authority over a great restaurant like this. not satisfied at all! read more

This is not your standard pizzeria. Let's get the best part out first: Flingers has a solid, rotating list of beer taps showcasing local Midwest breweries. You can find an interesting beer to quell your hoppy mojo - often something off the beaten path. Not all the beers are great, but they are diverse and interesting. The kegs rotate quickly so you can rely on the beers to be relatively fresh. Have never had a skunk-old beer at Flingers. Their "craft" pizzas leave some to be desired. On the positive side, the pie options (like their beer list) are interesting and unique. They focus on copious toppings with unique themes like cheese steak, chorizo, buffalo, peppers & onions, veggies, garlic, salamis, etc. Their pizzas are healthy & filling. But their weakness is a lack of savory tomato sauce or much mozzarella. The crust is just so so. Flingers doesn't scream "Italian" pizza, but they play more in the artisan "craft" pizza arena. If that's your thing you'll be happy. I like tomato sauce so I give them a 3 star rating. read more

I have only been to Flingers once since they opened at their new location. I had Flingers when they were in downtown Bloomington and always enjoyed it. My girlfriend and I decided to compromise on ordering the White Chick. I am not a fan of ranch but I decided to give it a shot. The pizza was amazing. The only problem was there wasn't more of it. We have been wanting to try Flingers since they opened in their new location on Vernon. The bet selection is cast (you get a notebook to look through with little "trading cards" to view for the beers). We went on a Sunday, so there were 6 craft beers that were 1/2 price (you won't know which ones until that day). We ordered the cheese balls which were good. I'm a bit of a pizza snob so trying a new pizza place can be a bit of a crap shoot. It's a Friday night and the place is packed. I find a place at the bar and the bartender was fairly attentive and quite helpful with a local brew and pizza choice. Flingers Original Diva vegetarian pizza is a wonderful flavor combination. Crust is a big deal to me and while I usually like a thinner, crunchier crust, this was a nice, soft and quite tasty crust and NOT greasy or soggy. The beer choice was a local Holla Atcha Blonde from local brewery, White Oak. They paired well together. Prices are pretty good...food selection is not bad even for a vegetarian and the beer selection was outstanding. Atmosphere was pleasant although a bit noisy...however, again, it was Friday night at 6:30. I will be back! read more

Flingers is a bright spot for pizza in a town (or 2 towns, to split hairs) of chains and other mediocre places. They have a unique pizza style and lots of craft beer on tap, and an excellent new location. Atmosphere is family friendly, while still being up to date, and if you're not in the mood for stopping in, they do delivery as well. The Windy City Fire pizza is a personal favorite, but any of the pizza and appetizer options are good. Some places have other items as also-ran and don't really care if you order those, but the cheese bomb and Flinger rolls are just as good as the pizza is. The only downside is how busy they might get at peak times, which is hardly unusual here. Give Flingers a try if you're looking for good pizza and beer (or good pizza-adjacent food) in the BN area. read more

The wings were under cooked and covered in pepper, I ordered wings naked so I was surprised when they came covered in pepper. Tara B. our server is the reason my family will never visit this location again. Unfortunately she seemed to not like me and was rude. It was nice that she liked my husband and had no problem refilling his half empty drinks. It would have been nice if she would have at least asked if I wanted a refill since my cup was empty, but then I guess she would have had to act as if I was a person. Our service was ridicules. We were 1 of 2 tables. Food under cooked and covered in pepper that i don't eat. I'm sure that's how they do things at there place had I known I would have never ordered. Stopped by Flingers pizza for lunch with a co-worker and it was a very good deal. They had pizza by the slice for $1, pop for $1, and a side salad for $2. I had a slice of the cheese and a slice of the pepperoni pizza. Both were very tasty. We also ordered the Buffalo Chicken dip for an appetizer which was also very good. We did think it was going to be larger, however it was perfect for 2 people. I wouldn't expect to split it with more than 2 though. My total bill was a little over $8 which is a tremendous deal for the amount of food we had. The service here was good. Our waitress was very prompt and friendly.
