Plumber called the next day around 4PM, sorry he didn't get the Yelp notice until the next day. Asked if I still need service and said he was available now and his GPS was 29 minutes away from my address . Half hour later or so I got a text asking to send a pic of the current piping so he could get the right valve. Sent a pic, including a yard stick for perspective Over an hour later a plumber named Jason finally shows up, looks at the gas line and says he has to go to "Big Box Store". "Big Box Store" is about a 10 minute drive. Forty five minutes or so later Jason returns and tries a couple of valves. A few minutes later Jason tells me that I have old pipes and the valves don't fit. He has to go to a plumber supply store to find an adapter. At this point it's after 7PM and Jason says he will have to come back tomorrow afternoon. Jason snips the female adapter off the existing flex tube for reference. Then he says to pay him half the quote now and the other half tomorrow. So I get my check book. Jason balks and says he can't get to the bank anytime soon, can I pay cash. I ask for a receipt, expecting some kind of professional receipt. Dude tears off a piece of paper and writes in pencil how much I paid, how much I owe, the date, and a scribble that I assume is Jason's signature. Jason packs up his tools, but not before asking which tools are his and which are mine... Around noon the following day, I sent Jason a text asking if he found the right valve. Jason texts back thanking me for reminding him. A few minutes alter Jason sends me a text to send him a text when I get home from work.. When I left work, I sent him a text that I should be home in 20 minutes. I get home and had not received a reply so I call Jason and get no answer. A few minutes later, Jason sent a text that he will be there shortly An hour later I call for an ETA, again no answer. I get a text that he hasn't forgotten me, but needs to go get fuel. It doesn't take an hour to go to the gas station. An hour after that, Jason sends another text that he will be a few more minutes because he is trying to figure out how to get fuel. After another hour, I called Jason and this time he actually answers. Sorry bud, I don't have any diesel or any money for fuel or smokes. Can't get out to there tonite. At this point I'm not too pleased and remind Jason that he's not the only one without any gas. He turned off the main last night so I don't have heat or hot water. I paid in cash last night. How you does he not have any money for fuel? Eventually, Jason is like "Alright man, I'll go to 'Big Box Store' and pick up a valve". So I had to remind him about going to look for the adapter. The don't complete their work. They drag out theory work for linger than they told the tenant. The left messes They broke fixtures that needed replacement. They gutted and replaced all the piping and cut out twice as much drywall than was needed (ant I had to pay to replace) Lots of excuses. Lost of promises to dispatched technicians, "they are on their way" who never showed up. I have all this documented in tests, emails, and recorded conversations. As part of the gutting and replacing of all the supply lines they were also supposed to install new fixtures that were too old so long as I provided them. The they conveniently said all my fixtures (some 30 years old) were in fine shape. Leter wen it turned out not to be the case, they offered to eplce all the cartridges. But that too was a lie, they did nothing of the sort. I have paid upwards of $10,000 and its still a nightmare. Currently my house I s flooding due to shoddy work. They replaced every bit of piping just a few months agon and should have lasted me another 35 years, but so far only months. I had the same exact repair earlier in the year; a shower handle broke for a Moen posi temp faucet. Prior company did exactly what is needed; remove the old faucet cartridge and replace with a new one. No cutting drywall, no cutting pipes, just some wrestling to get the old valve out and new one in. Part is $30. Have to remove 2 screws in the front too. Do a search for "replace Moen L222" to see a video of this done in about 15 minutes. NuTuch said they would need to cut the drywall, cut the pipes and would cost $750 to replace. Warranty company refuses to swap to the other company that did it in 15 minutes without charging me $750 so now I am stuck finding a company who will do it the right way which won't be hard, but still annoying as that's the point of having a home warranty. Just terrible waste of time and energy.

He took the time to map out exactly where our buried sewer lines were located and used his camera to get a thorough understanding of the problem. (By way of comparison, we had another estimate that just stated how much it would cost for each five feet of work, with no deep inspection.) CJ's estimate was very detailed and seemed to cover every issue that we would encounter. The overall estimate price was on the lower side of the four estimates we received.
