We love the new restaurant that took over Del Frisco's. The layout is similar but the bar is now more near the center of the restaurant. It's a great place to lounge with a drink or two. I finally had the chance to check out flint after wanting to come here for a while and it exceeded every single one of my expectations. I have never had such a special, intimate dinning experience before in my entire life. Karen took care of us and from the first minute she is what made this experience so memorable. As a server and also a bartender, she was so knowledgeable about the drink menu and made me an incredible gin martini inspired by "the last word". Afterwards, we were really looking forward to visiting upstairs by flint, but to our disappointment they are closed on Monday's. With that being said, both Karen and the assistant manager Michael went beyond out of their way to give us a private tour of upstairs, something i've never ever experienced before. It is hard to put into words how incredible this experience was, I truly can not recommend it enough to anyone looking for a great place to dine in Phoenix. 1000/10 recommend, it's an absolute must go to!!! read more

I wanted to truly love this place through and through but I was extremely disappointed by the service which ultimately ruined our experience. The food was absolutely incredible but the service did not match unfortunately. If I could review the food alone, I'd give it 5 stars and I'd tip each chef individually, it was that good! The service however, was not the same. It started great when we first sat down as the restaurant was quiet and then as the restaurant got more busy, we were barely checked on or visited by our server. Between our 3 courses, we were asked once how our food was and weren't given an opportunity to refresh beverages aside from water. Our bill also had incorrect pricing (up sells that the server put in without our knowledge such as upselling the espresso martini vodka without us asking for it). Additionally, when we asked for a glass of cab sav, we were simply sold the most expensive glass without being advised of the price. It's very unfortunate when you feel as though youre being used to increase the bill to help increase the tip. Unfortunately this didn't work in the servers favor. As a long time server/bartender, I understand the stress of a busy restaurant but I also understand how much peace of mind can be brought to a table by simply communicating. I would go back for takeout to avoid the absent service. Hopefully others have had a better experience as the food is truly to die for. read more

The cocktails, ambiance and service were fantastic! The small plates grilled artichoke and octopus were great. Well seasoned and great sauce. The entree left a little to be desired: we had the kabobs and they ran out of chicken (which I felt was the most flavorful) the filet lacked salt (rookie mistake) and the shrimp was just ok. The humus that was served with the kabobs was great and included homemade pita that was fluffy and delicious. Skip the broccoli, after one bite we left the rest on the plate. We would go back, but would be more selective in what we order and skip the $80 kabobs. We finished with the olive oil pound cake which was nice, but not incredible read more

Food - 4 stars Service- 3 stars Our experience at Flint was a little mixed. Went there for a late anniversary celebration. Unfortunately the service was not great. It was Sunday and not busy but the server pushed us to get our orders in faster even though we were starving and not taking long to order any way. And we had a really hard time understanding the server with the mask on...not their fault obviously but the loud TVs didn't help. It is such a nice restaurant, I dont understand why they had to add these TVs. Also, they apparently did some special "favors" for us like splitting our burger in half, adding a little extra house salad and plating the free donuts really well for our anniversary..which we were reminded of more than once. I would rather not get any "special" treatment. Now to the food....we tried the short rib hummus - amazing! Octopus - great! Burger - meh, dinner special Filet skewers - some were too salty otherwise would have been great. We did not complain about the salt because we were already not thrilled about the service and did not want to ruin our evening. Also, the way they price the skewers is a little misleading. All the sauces and hummus that come with the food are amazing though. And we usually don't order desserts but their desserts are impressive and glad the husband decided to order some. I don't like donuts at all but their donut dessert is worth a try. Chocolate ganache tart was great too. Overall not bad I guess. read more

We came here to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary and had high hopes. On initial entrance, decor is beautiful and menu looks great. We noted on our reservation that it was our anniversary but the only acknowledgment was a "Happy Anniversary" from the hostess and server. This is the first fine dining establishment that we have been to in all of our anniversaries in Phoenix/Scottsdale in which we did not get outstanding service for our anniversary including a champagne toast and a dessert. Instead we got subpar service and a messed up order. The first red flag was that their drink menu was not current so a specific cocktail was unavailable. The table next to us must have had someone of "status" because they got the top service and talked to the chef and manager multiple times for extended periods of time. Perhaps that is why the kitchen went down hill. Meanwhile, we received subpar food and service the entire time we were there. The short rib hummus was probably the best thing we ordered. We also ordered the chopped salad which was missing avocado (noted on menu) that I had to ask for. I ordered the swordfish and my husband ordered the filet mignon and neither of us were impressed. The filet mignon plated presentation was not impressive, the meat was slightly over cooked, and the potatoes were adequate. The manager brought out my swordfish and admitted that they messed up as it was made special for the table next to us (the one getting all of the attention). He said to try it and let them know what I thought. I did not like it. The manager never came back to check on us to confirm. Our server ended up having the kitchen remake it, which I appreciated; however, the new one was nothing special. We did appreciate that they comped our swordfish and desserts for the their errors; however, not the fine dining experience we were looking for. And certainly not what we hoped for our 5th anniversary dinner. Also, the women's restroom was out of commission causing a long line for the gender neutral stall. Overall, this place has a lot of improvements to make. Has the potential to be something special, but it needs to rise to the occasion to match the energy of other fine dining establishments in the area. read more

We had an outstanding birthday dinner in the private dining room at Flint. The room was gorgeous and the food and service were both outstanding. Brittany, the Events Coordinator, went above and beyond to make sure the night was perfect. She helped us with our favors, even running out to get an extra bag when we were missing one, and added name settings on the table which was such a beautiful touch. Everything was fantastic. Brittany was very communicative, friendly, and helpful from start to finish. We will absolutely be hosting our next event at Flint. I can't recommend this place enough! read more

We ventured out for one of the first times during the pandemic and chose Flint because of their great food and open air patio that made us feel 'safer'. Ivan took care of us and my husband and I had a wonderful time and super delicious meal with his guidance. Bone marrow whiskey shots included! I love their happy hour menu! This restaurant is super cute and trendy. We came around 530 so it was still quiet and slow. We started with whiskey sours and the virtues of being cool cocktails and I did not need more than two, they were surprisingly strong. The service from our server and bus staff was outstanding! We tried the oysters and the short rib hummus for appetizers, both were pretty good! Dare I say the salmon was among the best I've ever had, props to the chef! We were absolutely stuffed so we didn't save room for dessert. The only draw back from me was when we started out at the bar the bartender who looking like management gave an attitude when I told her I had asked for a different drink than what she gave to me. One of the bussers complemented my outfit and turned around that negative experience at the bar, unintentionally. It's been over a year but we had another great visit here over the weekend. I love the variety of the menu and that it includes small plates and a Mediterranean flare. We ordered the hummus, cauliflower, broccolini, skewers, flint salad, bone marrow and fried chicken (yes we ordered way too much food for 2 lol). The only thing we did not care for was the hummus- it was a little too thick and chalky which I do not remember from last visit. My husband and I love Flint. It is one of our go-to places for happy hour or dinner in the valley. I recommend the Flint Old Fashioneds- they are amazing and addicting! Food wise, there are so many good choices. We love the burrata with pesto and prosciutto to start. The short rib hummus is also very good and comes with homemade pita. I call them and they said oh we're sorry there must of been a mix up... a mixup? I rarely ever check my card transactions and if I didn't they woulda got an extra $75. I am embarrassed to bring my clients here ever again. Our female waiter was arrogant, snotty, and down right rude to my customers. I slipped off my dress shoes at the end of the table for a few minutes. My feet were a little sore with running around all day. They were not in front of anyone. They were just to the side of where I was sitting. Our waitress told me no shirt no shoe no service have you ever heard that! Some of my clients said it was a burden for them to get serviced. First time visitor for an impromptu work gathering. Service was great, but even with an open and empty venue getting seated was an issue. One person told us we would be limited to bar seating, then the other accommodated our request to put a few tables together. The kicker was the bartender keeping our tab open with a physical credit card when we transferred from bar to table. At the conclusion of drinks and food, they couldn't "find" the card. Then the card was found, but we immediately began receiving fraud alerts. This venue should review their staff overall, from the rude greeter to staff stealing credit card numbers? Since I am restaurant owner, I never leave negative reviews. I pay my bill and look for a manager to express my issues. We were unable to speak to manager so this is my only recourse. We were sat at 815pm upstarts and being serviced by the bartender. It was about 10-15 min before she brought us a water and drink menu. When I made my drink order she made a smart remark but I took it as she was joking then brushed it off. Around 850 we finally had to ask for a food menu which she told us we have till 9pm to place a order. You would think the first step when greeting customers that you would bring us water, menus and let us know if we want food then we need to order before 9pm. We were frustrated and wanted to leave but it was late and we been wanting to try this place. So we ordered everything at once since we were doing family style. The bartender was opening up to us and being nice and laughing. After she took our food order we barely saw her. No one check on how the food was also we had to stop runners and servers to ask for more cocktails/water/soda. The bartender never came back and we sat around for another 30 min waiting for a bill till we had to walk to her and give her a card to close us out. My husband and I celebrated our 8-year anniversary here and I have to say the food is beyond delicious! The presentations are even more beautiful in person than they are in the pictures. With each bite, you can tell that they treat all of their ingredients with love, care and respect. The space is modern, beautifully decorated and is warm and welcoming.
