Beef tartar was great in flavor the bread a little to charred but big flavor! Must get.

Upon entry it's very nice. The decor and the choice of music's definitely has a good upbeat feeling and vibes. I sat at the bar since they have open seating. If you're more than a party of two, I would say come early or make reservations. The bar staff was nice upon seating. I ordered beef tartar and crispy chicken cesar mezzaluna. Food is great the bartender was amazing. Had a small mishap and he jumped right on it! Thanks! I'll be back when I come visit.

Unfortunately, this was a disappointment for both my wife and me on several fronts. Starting with the positives: the interior has a nice modern/industrial look. The outside patio also seemed to have a great vibe. The piatta di pane was also very good, fluffy and well-seasoned. The octopus was tasty as well. Now for the negatives. The prices, especially considering the portion sizes. As I mentioned, the octopus was good, but the portion could have been more generous. The price tag on the prime NY strip was also steep for what ended up being two small strips that didn't look close to a full 12 oz portion. The middle piece shown in my picture was actually the potato croccante. My wife ordered the seasonal market fish (halibut), which unfortunately was overcooked and dry. I don't mind paying for a great meal, but when the negatives outweigh the positives, it becomes an issue.

We had the chopped salad and grilled octopus. The salad only needed a little bit of salt and then it was perfect. Lightly dressed, with tasty salami, bits of almonds and a few grape tomatoes. The octopus was really amazing. The spicy nduja (sp?) really gave the dish some depth of flavor, the crispy baby potatoes were perfectly cooked and crispy on the edges, the romesco sauce was flavorful and the few dollops of lemon curd were a nice counterbalance to all of the salty and rich elements. Best of all the octopus was very tender and moist. Service was very professional at the bar by several bar tenders. We sat at the bar so we could get some of the inside cool air as it was very hot and they only had outdoor tables when we made our reservation. We will return to try more dishes. It is very pricey yet so far everything we tried was worth it.

Bolognese was slightly under seasoned, but with a little added salt it was absolutely delicious!

Really enjoyed our first visit to Heritage. We love places like Board and Batten (Mesa), and Heritage did not disappoint. We tried a wide variety of menu items and drinks, and loved all of them. Our service was attentive and helpful. Our server was also very knowledgeable and insightful regarding good menu pairings and items. The ambiance was nice, since the weather was cool, sitting on the patio with warmers and a nearby fire was quite nice. I highly recommend trying Heritage. Here's what we tried: Apps: octopus was incredible. I love octopus and always try to order it, but my wife usually vetoes it. She also was very impressed with this appetizer and we devoured it. Beef tartare was also delicious. If I had only had this as an appetizer, I'd probably rave about it. It was incredible, but following the octopus it was definitely our second favorite. Bolognese was delicious. Meaty and comforting! Highly recommend! I did have to add salt as it was slightly under seasoned, but adding a little salt was NBD. Sausage fennel pizza was outstanding. This was recommended, and for good reason!

Had dinner on the outside patio which was lovely. Plenty of seating inside and outside. We tried a few of the small plates to share. Everything was honestly very good. I especially liked the prawns and the octopus which were both well cooked and well seasoned. The cocktails are also awesome. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful when picking food and drinks. The sticky toffee pudding was out of this world!

Wanted to try a new place and happened to stumble upon Heritage Kitchen. We happened to drop in at Happy Hour (3-5 pm) so we were able to sample their cocktails and appetizers at a reasonable price! We tried out their oysters, beef tartare and the Parmesan truffle fries. We also had to get a veggie so we threw a chopped salad in (best decision made!). All of the starters were spot on! The drinks were also so tasty (I got one on the menu and asked our waiter Casey to create one and he nailed it!). I got the Lobster Paella while husband got the Pork Belly. Spot on a delicious! Can't wait to go back!

We had a wonderful dinner here tonight. Aaron provided an excellent, friendly service! The weather was perfect for having the dinner outside - patio is very inviting. We enjoyed Garden Affair and Citrus Samurai cocktails. The menu was enticing, we had a hard time deciding what to try so we shared the bread with charred butter and harissa yogurt, then lamb ribs & spanish octopus. Whole grilled branzino was the special of the day & my husband had pasta bolognese. All the food was flavorful, well seasoned - we thoroughly enjoyed it all! Espresso was nice & strong as it should be. We shared Nutella banana tart which was pretty good but honestly we expected more of it. Personally, I would've preferred more Nutella flavor and a softer tart shell or a basque cheesecake . Overall, a great experience and we would definitely be back to try pizza and other items on the menu.

Lobster Fideo Paella...the pasta was cooked to perfection and the lobster meat was delicious and moist!

We're so stoked because we've found a new favorite! Heritage is chef driven, and the chef has Spanish heritage: The Lobster "Fideo" Paella was so good we wanted to dive into it and swim with the lobsters! Chef Eric used Fideo pasta instead of rice and it was excellent! Our server, Erin, was friendly and guided us to the Patatas Bravas, with other useful info on the food and drinks. In terms of being there when we needed her vs intrusive, she was just right...thanks! Two more things: I love a firepit for hanging out in the evening with friends...there's is nice and right sized! Finally, we recognized the Bar Manager, Aaron, who had gone missing from a different Scottsdale fave...he makes excellent cocktails and runs a great bar! We already have reservations to come back, bringing friends!

We were running late for the last reservation of the evening, and the staff was so kind accommodating us at the late hour. Service was impeccable and the patio is a neighborhood gem with relaxing ambience centered around the fire pit. Loved the mix of 80s music and rock which kept the atmosphere fun and upbeat. We were just here for a work event, but will need to come back more frequently and make this a regular stop.... A+ for the the Heritage team!

We came in at around 4:15 on Saturday afternoon and made a reservation just in case. Didn't check the menu beforehand but we made it for happy hour. In terms of happy hour the deals are definitely awesome: $10 margaritas, old-fashioned and martinis plus a lot of bites that are definitely great at that price point. We tried a few drinks and cocktails, which were amazing. Our server Casey, who is also a bartender made a custom drink from my wife according to her preference profile. We sat outside, which is perfect this time of year. We tried the oysters, Parmesan truffle, fries, steak tartar, pork belly, and paella entree, all of which were very good. The flavors were definitely well thought out and just for that reason would be returning. Not too familiar with this area, but it is definitely a gem in the middle of nowhere. shout out again to Casey, who is an amazing server for our first time visit. Will definitely return again!

New restaurant in the neighborhood. Great atmosphere, large outdoor sitting area. Service was attentive. Food tasted great!

We love Heritage, we took my dad here shortly after they opened to celebrate his retirement. One of the highlights was the octopus dish, best octopus we've ever had. We returned to Heritage this evening to just have a quick happy hour app and order that amazing octopus, but were devastated that the portion size of the octopus this time was nearly 1/3 of the size it was when we ordered it months ago. There were more potatoes on the plate than octopus and it was almost laughable. The price of the dish has stayed the same but the size of the dish was a fraction of what it was the first time. It was really disappointing. We will return for this octopus and if the dish size returns to its original portion size that was worth the $28 you charge, I will change this 3 star review to a 5 star review, but cutting corners like this is not a great way for a new restaurant to keep regulars in the north Scottsdale area.

We made our way down the stairs and the hostess was there ready to check us in. We didn't wait at all and got seated right away. Once seated it took a while for the server to come take our order. We ordered: 1 WILD STRAWBABY - Ocho Blanco Tequila, Bergamot, Strawberry, Pineapple, Lemon, Almond Milk $22 1 50 FIRST DATES - Bumbu Rum, Cascara, Brown Sugar Date Syrup, Coconut Milk, Cinnamon Sprinkle $22 1 BLUEBERRY MULE - Blueberry, Lime, Ginger Beer $13 The drinks didn't take too long and another bartender dropped them off. Water was never offered to us and was only given to us after we asked. All the other tables were given water once they were seated. Our drinks were good but we chose to just have one each and we left. The live music was great. The musician was playing the piano and kept it fun and upbeat. The inside is pretty cool and unique but service could've definitely been better though. *There's a $10 cover fee per person when there is live music*

Maybe they're paid, I'm not sure, but based on my experience I would not go back. The biggest issue was the service. We arrived and were told to sit anywhere we wanted. After sitting down, we waited about 20 minutes and no one ever came to our table. No greeting, no water, nothing. Eventually I had to walk up to the bar and ask what the procedure was. Do we order at the bar? Do you have table service? No one could give a clear answer. They just kept saying, "If you want, you can order here." That's not the point. If I sit down at a restaurant, I expect someone to come to the table and explain how things work or take our order. If the system is that you order at the bar, just say that clearly so people know what to do. The drinks were also very mediocre. Nothing special at all. Honestly, they tasted like something you could throw together at home with soda, alcohol, and ice. The surprising part is that the food was actually phenomenal. The kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. The dishes were delicious and probably the best part of the entire experience. But great food alone isn't enough to make me return somewhere with poor service and forgettable drinks. My recommendation is don't waste your time on a Sunday brunch. There are plenty of other brunch spots with good food and good service.

The cocktails were outstanding (I'll add photos because I can't remember the names), and the mac & cheese with chicken was easily my favorite dish of the night. We also shared the hummus platter, and my friends enjoyed their virgin piña coladas. What really made the experience was our server. As soon as he found out it was my birthday, he genuinely celebrated with us. The personalized birthday card signed by the staff and the birthday shot with a candle were such thoughtful touches that made the night feel special. My only disappointment came afterward. I called hoping to find out my server's name so I could give him the recognition he deserved. I called a couple of times, left a voicemail, and only received a text saying, "Maybe it was Ryan." Considering there was only one male server working that floor that night, (7/19) I was surprised no one could simply confirm who it was. That was a little disappointing. Other than. . . I'll definitely be back for the cocktails, the mac & cheese, and the incredible hospitality.

Love the special touches like the light at your table to call the martini cart bartender over to do table side personalized martinis. Our waitress was phenomenal and offered so many helpful menu tips as well. For the ambiance, think dark, moody, and sexy vibes. Even though the exterior and bathroom areas of the W Hotel are under construction, the ambiance within the restaurant is beautiful and unaffected. I also appreciated their waiting area with seating and TVs so we could catch the very end of the World Cup game! The food and drinks were amazing. I had a delicious mocktail with elderflower - dare I say one of the best I've ever had...I'd go back for just that! Everyone else at our table loved their martinis as well. Often when you dine at these new aesthetic spots in Phoenix/Scottsdale the food disappoints - but not here. Only dish we didn't love was the chicken piccata which was a bit plain. My vodka pasta and the braised beef pasta were delicious and flavorful. And let's not forget the dessert offerings: gelato, affogato, and tiramisu were all so good! Honestly, probably need to get a new hostess cause everyone else was so nice and smiling and just a great vibe. Our server Kelly made up for how terrible the hostess was. Kelly walked through the menu with us and the favorite entrees as well as the martini cart which was such a fun experience. My husband got the veal cutlets and it was the best he's ever had. I had the branzino which was good but quite dry. I think if it had an actual light lemon type sauce it would make it easier to eat. We also got the Mac and cheese which almost didn't make it but our server made it happen! We got the chocolate torte to go and holy moly that was so good. Also, can't forget the calamari, it's a must have. That dip was divine! We also loved the antipasto that came while we were looking at the menu and it was such a great twist from the usual bread service cause it was light. All in all, we loved it and we will be back and we hope the hostess is a different person when we do come back!
