Large hand-tossed cheese pizza
Lauren K.

I made my order online, which was super easy. No delivery fee through grub hub (via Yelp) and could add a tip for the driver easily. When I called to ask a question, the young lady on the phone was sweet, polite, and professional. The delivery man was so nice! I just had surgery and am on crutches and he offered to bring the pizza to my kitchen. The pizza is delicious! Fantastic crust (I ordered the cheese hand tossed pie). The sauce was flavorful but not overwhelming and there was the perfect amount of cheese. I'm from the Philadelphia suburbs and am super snobby about pizza. This place was worth it. I will def be ordering from here again.

Tried this place for lunch with a couple of co-workers and we all agree we will be back. None of us had been before although the intern being from CA was familiar with the name. We each got the lunch special -- two pieces of pizza and a drink for under $7. There were an assortment of topping options available although some certainly looked fresher than others which did impact my selection. This is NY style, large thin crush pieces you can fold and enjoy. I had one traditional (pepperoni & sausage) and one white with ricotta. It was the perfect amount for lunch. We were all happy with our first visit and plan to have another in the near future. Although it may be a while before we venture from the lunch special the menu does have some other good sounding options. Bottom line -- happy to have tried Flippin, look forward to visiting again. Safe to say it has been added to our primary lunch options list.

One slice of pepperoni and one slice of cheese to go!

Honestly, how can you not love Flippin' Pizza?? I had no idea there was a location here in MD. The only one I knew about was in Falls Church, VA. I came here after my hair appointment at Ira Ludwig salon located right next door. It was a little busy but no worries, pizza is always worth the wait. I ordered my usual 2 slices. One pepperoni and one cheese. The pizza itself albeit a little greasy is delicious! I love pizza by the slice! It tastes so much better to me! I love the thin crust, brick oven type of pizza. I'm not a huge fan of chain pizza stores like domino's or Pizza Hut. Flippin' Pizza has just the right amount of toppings, sauce, dough, etc. The service was good. The guy who took my order was great. They offer 2 slices and a soda with unlimited refills for $6. Ah-mazing! I will say the restroom could use a little help. I obviously don't expect much from restrooms lol but there's a difference between a well kept bathroom and a neglected bathroom. I didn't want to touch anything in there.

slice taken out of a pizza box

What happened! Flippin' crust quality sunk to subpar compared to midrange pizza places. We used to drive past 3-4 other pizza parlors just for Flippin' superior crusts despite they're being a little more expensive. Their crusts used to be near Neapolitan style, thin and with air at the outer edge. To achieve that requires rise time which also adds favor. Now the crust tastes like cardboard in comparison. Well no longer!

Half cheese half pepperoni crunchy pizza just the way I like it!

Crunchy and delicious just the way I like my pizza! Every Monday and Tuesday they have a promotion buy one get one! You must try this place!

Pizza with raw mushrooms

Originally had placed an order for delivery which said it would take an hour. I called the store to change it to pick instead and they told me it would take 15 minutes. I get to the store to pick it up and they said it wasn't ready and I had to go wait 10 more minutes. After waiting 10 minutes in the car, I went back to the store and they said it I would be ready in a minute because the pizza was still In the oven. When I got home and opened the pizza, all the mushrooms were raw. The one good thing about my order were the wings. Not happy about having to wait longer than anticipated and that the mushrooms were raw.

Nostalgic memories from high school come to mind whenever I go get a slice. The staff is always friendly and the prices are always good.

Quick service and the pizza is cheap and tasty. 1 slice for about $3 and they will warm it up for you. Would go again.

For a business in Bethesda, their affordable prices stand out. But the food is great too. Wing Wednesday is my favorite day.

Love the Buffalo pizza here and it's a big thin style pizza so it's definitely better then a bigger chain pizza place.

We felt the crust was a bit chewy and under cooked. With so many pizza options in the area we won't be back.

This isn't an ordinary pizza spot! Their pizzas are centered around Asian cuisines (think Indian, Thai, etc. and spices!) and they have a lot of other non-pizza options too. We tried their Tandoori Chicken, Palak Paneer, and Hawaiian Pizza with a side of Masala Fries. Hubs is a classic pizza kinda guy and even he enjoyed the tandoori chicken. Pizzas weren't overly "wet" with topping and sauce and the "toppings" were perfectly made? (Is that even a description for the heavenly sauce that they make?) It was well-sauced and seasoned! I watched the gentleman running the front hold doors open, politely greet, and thank Every customer, even DoorDash and Uber drivers. That alone should be why you visit! When I left, I just asked for a couple napkins since I didn't see any and he sent me off with a generous handful of napkins And plates! Thank you M&N! We will definitely be back!!

Our waiter was very nice and we were not real interested in appetizers. The bread they offer is so fresh with a wonderful crust. My colleague ordered garlic bread, but I'm not a fan of that. I ordered the shrimp Parmesan. we had the veal piccata ordered by another person, two lasagnas and more real dishes. Every dish was exceptional flavorful and well made. I'm sorry to see that their express store closed but it's still great to see They are open on Cordell Avenue. Definitely a must visit.

DO NOT GET THE CARBONARA!…read more (I was craving carbonara tonight) I got the - -Spaghetti carbonara -veal francese -garlic bread -small side of parmigiana cheese Prices were somewhat high Portions were medium The carbonara was very bad. Completely solidified when I tried to eat it I stuck my fork into it, and the whole thing pulled out of the container at once stuck together. It has a bunch of caramelized in it, some of which were burnt. You can visually see solidified, egg yolks, and egg whites. This is the worst carbonara I've ever had in my life (I've eaten carbonara hundreds of times) The veal francese was very good, crispy, flavorful, and had 1/4 a lemon to squeeze on it. The butter pasta it came with was good as well. The garlic bread was ok, large raw chunks of garlic on top of oiled toast. The small side of parmigiana was good, good cheese quality and more than I thought I would get. Keep in mind I did get this delivered. I called the restaurant and told them about the order. And they said to call them next time I order and they would see what they can do. I have to say they have good service. And I have nothing to say as far as ambience.

What an amazing lunch!…read more I'll start by saying I have been to Olazzo before, but today's lunch was special. I was introducing my girlfriend and my mom to each other. The host was so friendly and helped get us seated in a booth, and very shortly after seating we were greeted by our server Josh. Josh was very polite, and I felt good vibes before the food ever hit the table. He recommended their special, a trout on pasta dish. The entree had a very generous portion of fish, and our server made sure to drop off everything we needed to accompany our food, extra cheese, water refills, he was attentive and took great care of us. Next time I dine at Olazzo, I'm going to be looking for Josh!

Sunday February 15th 4:00pm…read more I normally don't include personal feelings when reviewing. This is an exception. We were in the area and decided to try this spot. Hostess, gentleman who seated us, and our server were wonderful. The food wasn't the best ever but it was good. We decided to give it a shot despite low customer ratings. We are Black Americans. When we walked in I picked up on a negative vibe but dismissed it. When you walk into a small establishment and it get's quiet or you get the looks turn and no one speaks turn around and leave. There were a few people at the bar chatting up staff (regulars). As we walked by the bar headed to the table I glanced over to the what clearly was the person in charge. I smiled no response. We eat, I head to the ladies restroom. I passed the same gentleman who, again looked directly at me, I smiled and he turned his head. I passed by him on the way back to the table. I specifically looked him the face and smiled. He looked at me and again turned his head blatantly. We are aware of prejudice so I didn't let him get under my skin. I smile and speak to anyone and am happy to do so whether it is reciprocated. It takes negative energy to be mean spirited. Willing to take our money but refuse to acknowledge us as paying customers. We spent quite a bit for two people. I will not recommend this place if it was the last Italian restaurant. To the owners- I could not tell if you were the person I encountered today or a manager. Either way- Just Wow.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry looking at what was delivered to me. This pizza is an absolute…read moredisgrace. The crust is burned in some places and undercooked in others, like it couldn't decide which level of failure to commit to. The toppings are a random mess--onions tossed like someone sneezed them on, olives rolling around like loose change, and sad green peppers that look more boiled than baked. Half of the pizza looks like it gave up halfway through cooking, and the other half looks like it survived a house fire. Pepperoni? Barely there. Cheese? Patchy. Sauce? Overpowered by bitterness from the charred crust. Honestly, this isn't a pizza--it's a crime scene in a cardboard box. If you want to know what disappointment tastes like, order this. Otherwise, save your money and your dignity. I don't even know if I'd try this again if it was free. -A Pizza Connoisseur

My family and I are always looking for a new pizza spot to try and AP was the right place and the right time. I'll talk about the space for a minute. It's a small pizza place. It's not meant for groups. They have maybe four or five tables. This is more of a quick bite or grab a slice at the counter before the movies kind of place. If I can wrap up the vibe and the decor in three words, I would use modern, hipster and clean. I kind of dug the feel. It has a tiny bit of grit to it and that's more than I can say for most of Bethesda. So because we started with a group of four eventually joined by my brother-in-law's family of four, we ended up squeezing about eight people into a small booth. This was by choice. But they were accommodating. I wouldn't recommend this place for groups, but the service was outstanding and it felt like an A+. Here what stood out from our order. They have mixed drinks on their menu and if you have an old-fashioned on your menu, I'm going to try it. I really enjoyed mine. The focaccia bread with garlic butter was incredible. I highly suggest you try that if you're gonna come in. Of the two pizzas we got, I thought the plain pie was better than Tony's pie. Ordering food, whether you're sitting down or taking your food to go is also really easy. They have self-serve kiosks and I'm all for that. Back to the service, as I was ordering our food through the self-serve kiosk and the staff was more than happy to give their two cents or answer any questions about the menu. I don't have any real negative notes. I know I gave 4 stars, but there are no fractional ratings on Yelp, unfortunately. I would say somewhere around 4.25 was my gut score. I'll add that going to a restaurant one time does not paint a complete picture. I'll probably come back to try more items. I recommend you give it a try.
