Went in tonight to grab a couple beers after work because their thirsty Thursday deal is a banger. Was offered a sample of their bread sticks by their cook Cameron. Ended up ordering their new mezzo pie which is four slices of any of their pizzas and then the other half is folded into the breadsticks. The topping on the breadsticks is so good and the pie as always was top notch. This is definitely a great deal and as always the crew was warm and inviting. Literally stopped in to get my son a slice of pizza quickly and I hoped their pizza was better than their customer service because I was greeted by a young man who looked like I was coming to rob the place and a woman, who lacked personality and any sense of customer service. I guess if you were buying things at Home Depot and super hungry, this is a viable option, but there are so many other better pizza places in North Coast, San, Diego County I would skip this pizza place all together. read more

What a disappointing football Sunday. To start, we order from FP multiple times a month, always the same order! Their food has never disappointed us. We couldn't wait to order our same order only to get home to subpar chicken wings. It looks like these wings were left out for 4 days. There is literally no weight to them nor is there any meat to them (guessing by just looking at them, we didn't want to take any chances eating it because it looked that bad). I am utterly shocked that a cook even thought it was ok to put these in a to-go tin for someone to eat. Again, we eat here often and their wings are always so meaty and juicy so this is not normal. They did give us a refund when we called, but unfortunately we live a good 20min away so we weren't about to get back in the car and make another 40min trek. read more

Found Flippin' Pizza on Yelp, of course, while in the area last time. They have a huge selection of pizzas available by the slice and custom order, as well. The Brooklyn slice was well-crafted and delicious! As you can see in my picture, the two slices of cheese couldn't even fit on the plate. Do the Yelp checkin-in for a free order of garlic knots, which were amazing. The service and staff were super friendly and helpful. I didn't have time to try any of their beers on tap but snapped a pic for Yelp. There's also plenty of parking right out front in the shopping plaza where they are located in. A must-visit if you're ever in Vista and craving pizza. read more

I happened to be staying overnight in the area and found this place nearby my hotel. I was looking for an inexpensive and quick meal, and was actually quite pleased with the offerings. They have several varieties of pizza, all of which are sold by the slice. I ordered a combo meal for $10.25, which came along with a dinner salad and a soda. I had a slice of bbq chicken pizza, which was quite good. The salad was huge and had lots of cherry tomatoes, sliced olives and mozzarello cheese inside. There have several tables available for dine in, both inside and outside. This place is good and well worth going to. read more

This is the best pizza in San Diego County! I'm from the east coast and travel to Europe frequently with my husband who is from Germany so I have had the real deal on several occasions. The crust is a crispy, thin, rustic style. The spices and toppings are the the perfect proportion. My favorites are the Whitestone, tomato basil, and trioboro. Ordered from door dash on New Year's Day, thankfully they were open! We ordered 2 pizzas with extra ranch for both, 2 appetizers also asked for extra ranch and cookies. Mind you, there was also a section to click what sauce we wanted. We clicked ranch for every option. When the food arrived the face of disappointment came on everyone's face. We only got 1 of the appetizers and the bigger disappointment was only 1 tiny thing of ranch. So many people ended up going without which was a complete bummer. The veggie pizza we ordered also didn't have any cheese on it. It was just sauce and veggies and the menu clearly states it comes with mozzarella. Although the crust was very good. The pesto pizza was actually very good and flavorful, the only highlight of this experience. The 1 appetizer we got only came with 3 rolls, which again people had to go without. Which is why we ordered 2 orders of them. Overall this is my first and last time ordering from them. The pizza is OK, little pricey - 1 Brooklyn Slice - $3.45, but it was good with a thin crust. The Buffalo Chicken Slice ($3.45) was missing chicken, but not the spice. My DW ordered a Cheese Slice with extra mushrooms (still $3.45), she complained - the slice was too small. We also got an Individual House Salad for $6.25, it was mainly lettuce, a lot of huge pieces of lettuce. This place can compete with a Knockout Pizza in Carlsbad for a similar style of pizza. Still to ex-pat from East Coast (NY/NJ), you cannot compare pizzas, but in San Diego county you have to take, what's available. read more

We don't get here enough but always have a great experience. I took my daughter for a father daughter dinner tonight and marveled at how efficient the restaurant was running. The food is awesome - hard to find a real pizza parlor in CA. There's a 400 lbs employee here who watches videos on his phone at full blast when he's on break. None of his fellow employees or management bother to ask him to turn it down, so despite the pretty good pizza (for a chain) the atmosphere is not under control and I don't think I'll be back. read more

Charged incorrect - no receipt provided They have a sign that there is a service charge of using debit/credit however we paid in cash and cashier asked us if we were paying with cash or card AFTER she added the service charge for the card. We said cash and service charge was still there. I asked her what the service charge is on our bill and she said for using card and I said we are paying cash and she said it wasn't on there. I asked her for receipt and she gave me receipt for someone else's order. I understand service charge for paying with card but if we are paying with cash we shouldn't have been charged. I'm not sure if she didn't know how to remove the service charge after adding it but we were definitely charged that 5% service charge. Please train employees to ask before automatically applying that service charge. Food was good as always as we visit this location at least once a month but after this will definitely be keeping a closer eye on how we are being charged read more

I have eaten at the Del Mar and Vista location and always have a great slice. The Vista location is super pleasant, clean and so friendly. Got waited on by Sophie, and she made a few suggestions that helped me get through my 'need lunch brain fog' and the salad and slice that came out in a flash was everything you can ask for in a simple healthy meal. The fact that large, crisp salads are available for a bargain is something I will remember when I'm in the Shadowridge side of town. Sophie was super sweet and I found out she hasn't even been working there very long! They have excellent New York style, crisp, not greasy slices and have an awesome lunch special ( I'm cheapskate when I'm dining alone). Super torn...love this place been coming for years! They got a 3 this time because I went in and asked for 2 slice special (triboro). The very nice young lady states they didn't have any and they only had what i saw at the counter...I noticed there was a Triboro in the rack but figured it was spoken for so I went with something else...no biggie. I will note she didn't attempt to look at the rack, which made me think that they were in fact spoken for. My order came out a couple mins later as another customer comes in...I haven't even taken my seat when I hear the new customer also ask for a Triboro....and heres were I got kinda pissy.... The same "nice" person who told me they didn't have anymore, literally 6mins before hand, tells this new customer sure how many slices do you want? He was literally the next customer after me... Ticked off I naturally look and she's taking from the pie I assumed was taken... Overpriced and going downhill. The people on the phone are mixed, some are polite, some are rude. The chick taking my credit card handed off the phone to someone else mid sale because there was "something more important." The delivery driver was skeezy as hell. Dude with a beard and baseball cap. I open the door and he looks me up and down like he's grading my attire. I ask if there's anything to sign for and he just goes "No just the cash tip" kind of gruff, seeing the cash I had in my hand. I am aware of the $4.45 delivery fee but was trying to be nice about a tip. It's like they laugh at it and almost take it for granted. I'm not ordering from here again. I got a large Whitestone no tomatoes and a traditional pepperoni plus 1 chicken calzone with white sauce and garlic bites. Pretty sad when all you order is a slice, some wings, and a beer and they don't remember to place the wings in the oven. Then I had to ask about the order after waiting some time, only to find my slice had been "resting on top of the oven" for a while. I had to ask them to heat even that up again while then waiting a further 15 minutes yo get my wings. Then, when I got them to the hotel, I found 4 wings and no napkins in the bag. I could write a long involved rant about how awful the staff is or how rude they are. I could talk about their inability to fill an order or how they tell you it's not their fault and blame the equipment for their failure. I could mention that when confronted with their obvious deficiency they told me there is nothing much they could do. After a couple minutes of inquiring if they intend to "make it right" they respond with an offer of a fountain drink or some knots while we wait. I indicate they could throw in the knots as an olive branch but true to form when our pizza that was supposed to be ready comes out 50 minutes late...no knots. Pizza was not good, it was oily and the crust was soggy. Service was horrible. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and a Caesar salad online and went to pick it up and nobody knew where our order was until we asked them to double check. The guy at the counter insisted on our order being at their other location in Encinitas without even trying to look for it. It was sitting in "door dash" for pick up yet nobody bothered to look. We had to ask for plates, utensils and napkins and Parmesan cheese. We were given 4 small packs of Parmesan cheese which wasn't enough.
