The got my contact information and told me someone would call me, didn't quiet explain why/when.. Owner called me same day and offered someone to come that evening or following day (Sunday, Father's Day). I told him there was no rush and requested Monday service. Monday I got another call from a third person wanting to schedule service, I told her someone had already scheduled service for me same day. She stated that was odd as I didn't even have a customer profile, but could get the technician in same day. I do want to add.. all 3 people I spoke with very nice. Clara, the technician showed up and she was so knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. She immediately identified the issue and Provided great service and realistic suggestions. Sunday afternoon we were sweating gallons faster than we could drink water. I broke down and called Mr Campbell. Why him? " Over 2 years ago" we were told by Airtron that our unit has a leak. They quoted a new system at $11,500. A second opinion returned no leak, but they happily offered us a new overpriced system as well. A 3rd opinion ( came out free of charge) found no leak either and suggested to save the money for now. We were told to just call back, whenever it is time. That was Mr Campbell! He gave us estimates of inside or outside replacement only, as well as a complete system quote. I understand we all have to make a living, but definitely appreciate a honest company not trying to sell something with every opportunity! Another words, rip off customers with every chance they get! Called Campbell A/C , LLC on Sunday afternoon. Monday evening the complete unit was up and running! American Standard, 15 seers, 10 year parts, 5 year labor warranty. $8300 before CPS rebates, 12 month interest free financing available. Our house is cool, smells cleaner, the unit is very quiet, energy efficient and looks like the Mercedes of Air conditioners. With a $700+ rebate from CPS and IRS savings, we're looking forward to our next electricity bills. Woohoo, we feel like we just won the lottery!

To be sure tell them you have home warranty and that you just want a diagnosis. This eliminates the usual recommendation of "you need to replace the whole unit".

I called 2 different A/C companies about my secondary drain for my A/C was leaking on my porch, so…read moreI knew there was a clog. The first company was the first to respond, so I scheduled them. This first company came out and removed the clog, then proceeded to recommend I replace my drain pan and add 2 separate sensors (1 for the drain pan, 1 for the coils). They said it would take 1/2 day and require 2 workers, so the cost was high due to the labor involved. The quote seemed high although I truly had no idea how much those things should cost. Meanwhile, George Best Air Conditioning called just a few minutes after the first company, but I had already scheduled the clog removal by that first company. When the first company made the recommendation of replacing the drain pan and adding 2 sensors, I told them I would think about it. I then called Gay at George Best Air Conditioning, and her quote was much lower, but it was an estimate at it was unclear if they would be able to easily slide out the previous drain pan or not. I booked with George Best. After all was said and done, I'm SO GLAD THAT I DID! It turned out to be a very simple job, completed by George Best A/C in just under 1 hour! Since it was an estimate, when I called Gay back at George Best A/C, she was able to reduce the cost even further because it was such a quick job! *** I saved about 50% of what I would have had to pay to this other company, and that includes the same exact service: new drain pan, sensor for the drain pan and sensor for the coils! *** AND, it was completed in just shy of 1 hour, NOT 1/2 a day! *** I wish I remembered the service rep's names for George Best A/C (there were 2 of them), as they were exceptional. Our A/C went out, literally heating the house. One company we called said we had an old system…read more(true!) and just to add freon would cost up to $1250. A new system would cost upward $7000. "Whoa!", I said. We need a second opinion on this! Talked to a friend who said he knew a guy - Carlos. Carlos had installed and maintained their multi-building church campus system and so he could help us. Called; Carlos came THAT day! (Oh yeah, by the way we had guests coming the NEXT day.) He walked me through our old system's REAL problems, which were much more than 'just add freon'! My wife and I are on fixed incomes, the current inflation had eaten into our savings, so there was not much left. Carlos came back the next day - God bless him! - and arranged to update our old system at a much reduced cost. Our updated system was restarted, and within minutes put out beautiful cold air. We are VERY thankful for Carlos and the work of A-Arctic. HIGHLY recommended!!
