It was a little bit of a rough start trying to get a hold of them.. originally sent a request to txt, which I never heard back from. Following day, Saturday, I ended up calling them. The got my contact information and told me someone would call me, didn't quiet explain why/when.. Owner called me same day and offered someone to come that evening or following day (Sunday, Father's Day). I told him there was no rush and requested Monday service. Monday I got another call from a third person wanting to schedule service, I told her someone had already scheduled service for me same day. She stated that was odd as I didn't even have a customer profile, but could get the technician in same day. I do want to add.. all 3 people I spoke with very nice. Clara, the technician showed up and she was so knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. She immediately identified the issue and Provided great service and realistic suggestions. Quit using this company several summers ago when they would not send a technician out at 7pm in the evening in the middle of the summer to get the AC running again. I had just spent $14K on a new system from them a couple of years prior and had an annual maintenance contract with pre-paid service. Save your money and buy somewhere else. Once you go with General Air Conditioner, you will be a forever customer. I just left another company after 15 Years because my A/C went out and they re-scheduled my appointment 3 times. The last company stated I needed a NEW SYSTEM, they are obviously out for themselves, not a 15 Year Customer. The first thing Vic was concerned about was the HEAT in our house, she offered a FAN to me, to keep me cool, in my home office. Josh, Vic, and Nick are very dedicated, as HOT as it was outside, they did what they needed to do, installing my new unit away from a bush where my current Trane was to have enough room to work and they installed a brand new breaker box for my new Trane. The A/C unit i had put in 2 years ago all has been a fantastic investment! The Return on Investment: I used to have to buy 200 gallons of propane 3 to 4 times a winter. Last year I filled it only once in March. I'm still heating on the same tank and have plenty left for this winter. Each tank cost around $500. That's about $1500 - $2000 savings per year. On Friday afternoon 5/7/21 a General Air Conditioning van with license number beginning FW nearly ran me off the road near i10 at the Crossroads exit by speeding from behind me and nearly crashing into my car as I single to make a land change and right turn. The van was following dangerously close, speeding, and making an illegal lane change. The first experience I had was great. The tech was very professional and answered all my questions. I signed up for a maintenance contract. While the tech was there, I asked about replacing the concrete slab under the AC unit and fixing the hole in the exterior of my home the lineset went through. I was told to place a slab, the system would have to be evacuated, then the unit lifted, and finally refilled. I called and asked for service. Two men came and looked at the job. Three men came a few days later with a slab and physically lifted the unit and horsed another slab under it. When I asked about the hole, they said to just fill it with caulk, they weren't told about the hole, they didn't have the right tools, they had the wrong truck, basically, they weren't interested. The cost for what was done was a fraction of what the original tech estimated, but money wasn't the problem. I needed the work done correctly and completely. That didn't happen. read more

On July 5th I called at 7am because my a/c had gone out overnight and the other guys (friends of Bugs and Daffy One hour AC) could not get to me. Tim answered the phone and scheduled me for 3pm. At 12:30 he calls back and says his tech got done early at another job and could come now, points for early arrival. The tech that showed up at 1pm worked and worked to discover the problem to no avail, by 7pm it was obvious he was in way over his head, in comes the owner Tim, both stay at my home until 10pm to make sure my ac is operational for the night. They could not solve the multiple problems so created bypasses and said they would be back tomorrow. I advised I could not be there before 5, no problems for them...bonus points. They were there promptly, worked until 8pm to get it all done and repaired correctly. They were courteous and it was interesting to watch as Tim taught his tech as he went on. This is a professional and courteous outfit, and they also care about the customer experience and will sacrifice for the customer and you rarely see that anymore. I would give more stars if I could.
