I tried hopping in the steam room only to find it has been broken for weeks, not hot at all. Only 4 showers out in the open and 1 of them worked very poorly. The cardio machines are fine but obviously of lower quality when compared to offerings at Healthsport. There are plenty of machines however some of the weight machines are VERY old but they get the job done. Wasn't busy when I went at 5 during the week. I wasn't able to do my complete workout because somebody else was using the only rope attachment for the cable machines. Overall, calcourts is an okay gym if you live in Eureka, it is $9 cheaper per month than Healthsport which could matter to you. I have decided that I prefer the atmosphere of Healthsport as the machines are newer and the whole gym is more modern. I also noticed that the people who work at calcourts are a lot less courteous and they do not give their members free guest passes ever. Healthsport invites me to bring friends in for free because they know that's how you get new members!!
