Located in the Whole Foods plaza with Flemings, Eureka, etc around. I came here Saturday around 5pm. Only indoor seatings. It wasn't busy. Only maybe 2 other tables were taken. It started getting almost half packed when we left around 7:30-8pm. The staff here is very nice to let you sample before you commit to a glass. They have wines, cider, beer, seltzer. The orange flavored creamy seltzer was really good, but weak of course. Ther's some good dark stouts/porters and hazys. Their red wines like cab and pinot noir weren't so good. The whites were good like sauvignon blanc and chardonnay. The staff said you can buy any alcohol and food from Whole Foods and enjoy it here. There's a water station for you to refill your water where the restrooms are. We saw a possible homeless man filling his big jug.

I come here with my colleagues quite often, because they have good beer selections and good food. Service could be hit or miss, depends on which bartender(s) you'll get that day. Sometimes we would get someone who doesn't smile and quite mean when taking our orders. Hence, only 4 stars instead of 5. They used to have skewers as appetizers, which we liked a lot, it went well when having a few drinks. But they changed their menu and took away all the skewers. The only item I like on their menu now is their chicken wings (I don't like carbs too much). At first I thought it would be very spicy since it's in chill sauce, but it isn't at all (which I like), it's sweet and wings were cooked to perfection. I'm craving for them as I'm writing these. The last time when I went with mt colleagues, we were served by a gentlemen (who I believe) named Eric. He was friendly and patience when explaining the menu and what we might like; he also gave a few testers to my colleagues to make sure they had the drinks they enjoyed. We'll be back to try out more from their menu for sure.

This gem of a watering hole is located inside the Whole Foods near Great America. One of my favorite places to come on a lunch break or if I just need a quick getaway from work to think. It's ideal if you want a quick beer, but don't want the potential chaos of a full-on bar. Drinking does not to be a hobby where you get completely smashed or the music is way too loud. Quality beer can also be sipped slowly and enjoyed. I'm glad the Bay Area is catching on to that. Always a excellent selection of local rotating beers here. Very friendly service too. If you're hungry, congrats, you're already in Whole Foods. You can pick something up from the hot bar to go with your beer. But personally, I would recommend getting the burger and fries at the actual taproom. It is delicious. If you work in the area, how have you not come here already? Stop in and quench your thirst.

Beyond Meat burger, three stars as impossible and incredible are both better

Reasonable place to stop for a more casual eat and simple food / drink. Had limited set of simple appetizers and burger/fries and a wider selection of beers and a few very average wines. Had a beyond meat burger and beer here, exactly what you'd expect for service and food at this price. Not gourmet but scratches the hunger and thirst itch for reasonable price

No staff at the bar.

This place could be really good. They almost always have a great beer taplist. The food is good with generous portions. But... they are chronically understaffed. More often than not, the kitchen is closed because of "lack of kitchen staff" (which is weird since they still have staff for the rest of the wholefoods kitchen). And lately, (the last 4 months) they don't even have staff to cover the bar. Between closing early or no one available because they're "on break", it's 50/50 if you can even get a drink when you come in. I really can't recommend this location anymore.

The Whole Foods taproom is a great place to try new beers. That have 20 rotating taps and feature both local and imported beers. If you can't find anything you like on tap, you can also purchase single cans or a 6pack from Whole Foods and they will open it for you and give you a glass for no fee! In addition, you can order small bites off their taproom menu. The burgers are delicious, but the pulled pork nachos are my favorite. Again, you can purchase food from the grocery side (like chips and fresh salsa!) and bring it over to the taproom to hangout or watch sports. Staff is always friendly and happy to make recommendations. It is usually easy to find a few seats. Sometimes you need to flag them down to clear the table, but they are quick about it. They have happy hour Monday-Friday. Some items are a little pricey, but nothing too outrageous.

Awesome place to come for some food and drink! It's connected to the Whole Foods so you can also pick up some food from the store and bring it over. They have happy hour from 4-6, Monday-Friday, but honestly the savings are not that much, so I don't mind paying full price (only $1 off appetizers and drinks). They have a variety of seating options, including bar seating, long high communal tables, and low lounge seating. I saw a sign for outside patio seating as well, but it was raining when we came so I didn't check that out. You line up to order food and drink with the bartenders and get your drinks right away (you can open a tab), but if you order food you get a pager that vibrates when your food's ready. They have a self-serve station with utensils and tap water that you need to get yourself. We came on a Friday night around 7pm, and it was pretty busy. We had to wait a bit for the food, but it wasn't too bad! (They have 6 TVs to keep you occupied.) We got the fries, eryngii, spicy tuna roll, and edamame. Our favorites were the sushi and edamame! Overall, a lively environment, friendly service, reasonable pricing, and good food. Would definitely come back! FYI looks like kitchen closes at 8pm (at least on the Friday we went in February 2019).

Worst bartender ever.

Wow. The only bartender was struggling to make 2 drinks. 31 minutes later he took our drink order. 4 beers. Something is seriously off. He is either high or... nope he is high.

The product is good, service..not so much. I was very confused the whole time. I felt like I was in a different culture & would have appreciated more guidance. It came across as though I should already no what to do, while I've never been here before. Food wise, fantastic. I had the Eryngii:Trumpet Mushrooms Skewer. Loved it! And the Spicy Tuna Crunch Roll. Also yummy. They were both a little difficult to eat. When I finally asked for utensils, apparently there's a station for you to do it yourself. But I had no idea

I just stopped for a beer on my last whole foods visit. The place looks very nice and has a good ambience. The beer I had (dark , salted coconut) was very good. It seems to be a nice place to have an after work beer with friends while watching a game. Having such a place is an interesting idea for neighborhood like this which mainly consists of offices. I could imagine coming here with coworkers after work an have a beer before going home. Lately we've been coming here on Sunday's to get a quick brunch or lunch from the prepared food section at Whole Foods. It's much less busy than other places with comparable selection and can be combined with getting groceries. There's also a board which allows people to invite their friends to a beer when they're not there. Neat idea.

The Good - cushy seating, long high tables & ceilings, friendly bartenders. Has a camphall/dining common feel but with your modern colors & alcohol The Bad - bland, salty, overcooked bar food. Depends on what you order off the menu; just build-a-box or buy the store's food from the grocery side and eat here The Ugly - From across the room, I caught a meeh-cent looking girl doing a double take on me the first visit. Butter friend.....

This is beer.

Can someone suggest the names of their beers to try from light one to red to the dark ones?

They rotate their beer often so the choices are always different! They have about 20 beers on tap so ask the bar tender when you come and they can be sure to make a recommendation or let you try one if you are unsure.

Toni worked with me over the phone to make it happen, and when there was a small miscommunication about the vibe I was going for, she course-corrected instantly -- not just in communication but in the actual setup. That kind of pivot is rare. The outside area was ideal for our group of roughly 60 throughout the day -- a mix of high tops, low tops, and couches that gave everyone somewhere to land. Heat lamps on when we needed them, off when we asked. Ellie and Shailyn were exceptional the entire time. I had to leave before I could personally thank the staff, which I regretted -- so I'm saying it here. This was exactly what I hoped it would be for my dad. Thank you, Toni, Ellie, and Shailyn. -- Anton

The art on the walls were really nice with musical instruments as accents which was an interesting plus! Everyone was very nice to us and greeted us with a smile. It didn't take us long to be seated and our food came out pretty quickly too despite the restaurant being full. We ended up ordering some lamb flatbread which holy...that was ABSOLUTELY amazing and we were telling everyone at work about it! I thought the menu sounded pretty good, albeit a bit pricy but what isn't these days? Unfortunately, we really wanted to like this place but it was not great and we won't be back. We were seated and took a few minutes to look over everything and then ordered two apps and two cocktails. The crab cakes were tasty although we both had hoped they would be crispy on the outside, but were instead very mushy. The fried mac and cheese balls were good, nothing special, I've definitely had better but we still enjoyed them. Her French 77 was good enough to order a second and my Purple Fizz was good, nothing to write home about. We ordered our food about halfway through the apps and it took a really long time. There were only three other tables on a Wednesday night and it still took about 40 minutes for two entrees. I got the fish and chips and was very disappointed. They looked like they'd be crispy but they were quite soggy and the fish was odd, it didn't seem like your typical cod and was bland in flavor. The fries were definitely frozen prior to cooking and tasted like you'd expect frozen fries to taste. My best friend ordered the chicken tikka and, while the sauce was very good, the rest was pretty mid. The chicken was chunked WAY too big which made it hard to eat unless it was sized smaller and the rice was dry and hard. I ordered an NA cocktail and couldn't enjoy it, though the flavor was good, because the glass smelled like dirty moldy wet sponge and was overwhelming the flavors. Overall, for the price of everything ($210 for two people), we were severely disappointed and wouldn't recommend this place. We would've spoken to the waitress but considering how little she checked in with us and how long our food took, we didn't bother. It truly seems like they care about the aesthetic and advertising it as an English Gastropub more than the actual food itself. I'd consider elsewhere if this was on your list. There's better food for less cost nearby.

Thankfully the food is also amazing. I have always been addicted to the triple B and the KFC so I was nervous when I tried the new versions recently. I enjoyed them both more than I had previously. The triple B was smaller but the biscuit had much more flavor, depth and was more pillowy. The KFC had always been my favorite and the new version did not change that at all. The chicken was much juicier, and it had a lot more substance. The chicken pieces were thicker and the sauce was delicious. It's reminiscent of a chicken and waffle dish because I believe the sauce has some sort of maple syrup. The dishes have changed but I'm a huge fan of the change.
