Pastrami sandwich with cheese sauce
Julie S.

Always a great meal at Orchard City Kitchen. We stopped by today for lunch. I made a reservation at Open Table, though we also showed up when they opened so it probably would not have been too much of a wait. Their lunch menu is a little more straightforward than the dinner menu. We did order the fry bread appetizer which had a ton of cheese on it, making it very filling. I really enjoyed my sandwich, though it was gigantic! I always have an enjoyable meal here, fun place to sit. We love their outdoor patio. Also I was reminded they have a nice happy hour.

Went here 4 times and each time the service wasn't consistent. The food could be a hit or miss. The drinks was really good but a few of them were really strong. Each time I would be a new group here , but my brother didn't really like the food he ordered. Because it's not consistent I don't think I'll be coming back here.

Meal with Beef Bourguignon, Honey Wings, Carrot Rice, Langos and GTS pour!
Todd H.

Stopped in a few weeks back and was surprised about the changes to the menu. The new change to a small plate French-inspired menu (maybe rotating style?). Overall, we were looking forward to the KFC and other OCK staples but found some new items to try. Server was very kind and allowed us to move completely under the overhang to avoid the early evening sun. He was quick and attentive although must've gotten busy near the end as we had to waive someone down to get the check. Overall, the meal had both high and low notes. Everyone enjoyed the Langos (fry bread) as a started. Kids found that most appealing. We ordered the Beef bourguignon, the honey wings and carrot rice. We did not see the KFC on the menu but on review it looks like it's available on the website. Both the honey wings and carrot rice had small flowers which were not our favorite. Not hard to pick off though but enjoyed it without. We also got the carrot rice with the chorizo on the side (wasn't sure how spicy for the kids). Best dish was the beef bourguignon which filled up our little ones. The other dishes were ok but will likely look to try the other menu options next time. Best part of the menu is their whiskey list!! They have some really good bourbons for very reasonable prices. I grabbed a GTS but probably would have gone into a couple more if time allowed. All in all, it's still a nice night out in a very busy location!

Tater tot poutine

Orchard City Kitchen seriously nailed brunch. We went yesterday and ordered a mix of sweet, savory, and drinks, and every single thing hit. The cinnamon roll pancakes were insane, fluffy, and topped with a cream that made it feel like dessert in the best way. The KFC (Korean fried chicken) was perfectly crispy with so much flavor, and paired so well with the sauce. We also got the BBB (bacon, bread & butter), and the bacon alone was unreal thick, caramelized, and honestly one of the best parts of the whole meal. The tater tot poutine was pure comfort food but a bit overwhelming with the amount of gravy and cheese making everything much soggier than I liked. I'd definitely leave that dish behind next time. The spicy noodle dish with the jammy egg and chili oil sauce was also a hit. It was simple but packed with flavor and had just the right amount of heat for a good appetizer. We also got a jug of mimosas (strawberry guava + passion fruit mango), which were so good--light, refreshing, and perfect for brunch. The vibe was lively but still cozy enough to sit and actually enjoy your time. Overall, everything felt really intentional from the flavors to the presentation. Definitely one of those spots where you leave already planning your next visit. Overall the staff and food were on par definitely have made a repeat visitor out of me now.

My absolute favorite spot to go to dinner in Campbell whether I'm going on a date or showing someone from out of town. The menu is so diverse and unlike any other menu in the Bay Area the quality of food in terms of price is so reasonable and the staff is nothing but kind the atmosphere is lively whether you sit inside or out. I love coming here.

Came here for my 4 year anniversary because OCK was our first date location and we hadn't been back since. We were excited to see the Harry Potter theme! That was super cool. We came on a Wednesday so it wasn't crazy packed, but enough to create a good vibe. The food and service was just as good as I had remembered. Just glad we were able to spend this special moment back where it all began.

The good part: Service is always impeccable. Lots of seating indoor and outdoor, when the weather is great the patio is the best! Be sure to make a reservation, it does get crowded at time. Now for the ok part: They made some significant changes to the menu , they've moved from an 'Asian theme' to a 'French theme'. Gone are the KFC, garlic noodles and they made some significant changes to the BBB (not in a good way, imho). Now the negative part: They now add an additional 'inflation surcharge' with no clarity on what that is for, or who gets it. Seems it's a way for them to increase prices, without changing the menu prices. We used to go monthly, with these changes, it will be a very long time before we go back.

Made a reservation, but when I arrived I was told that the outside tables were booked. As I sat facing the patio, I noticed that tables were empty, remained empty and when I left there were tables that were empty. Perhaps someone was out sick? The interior is nicely decorated, loud and very cool. The food was delicious. I had a spicy Bloody Mary which was refreshing, the burger which came medium raw, I was not permitted to have a medium burger. Turns out their medium rare is my idea of medium so it was all good. Instead of fries, I ordered the artichoke which came roasted with a side of sauce (aioli and hot chili oil?) for dipping. For dessert we shared a watermelon swirl. It was beautiful and delicious. I was not impressed with the server or timing of the food. I got my food first, and waited a bit for the rest of the table to get their food. Without asking if we wanted dessert, our server gave us our bill. I'm not sure why she felt like she needed to rush us when there were open tables. The previous time I came, the food was amazing and so was the service and timing. I'm going to put this afternoon down to a glitch.

Orchard City Kitchen was such a pleasure to try out. The wait was a short 10min which was pretty good for a Friday night. We sat inside, it was cute, maybe just a little loud. The shareable small plate style was incredibly fun. We started out with the baguette and today's butter board (which had apples/pears) and were so excited to be handed a full baguette--nice crunch and soft interior. We also had the grilled artichoke, which had a lovely char and paired nicely with the sauce. We ended off with the lamb chops, which were incredibly soft and had a lovely char as well. The garlic and mint were an interesting pairing. We also tried their paradox beer and butter beer (surprisingly harry potter themed today) and enjoyed those. Bernardo helped us out that night and had such a chill friendly demeanor we loved--like talking to a friend.

I've been a loyal customer of Orchard City Kitchen for years, and it's always been one of my go to spots. I've celebrated birthdays here, brought friends from out of town, and consistently recommended it because the food and vibe were always on point. That said, I've definitely noticed a lot of changes recently, both with the staff and the menu. I always came specifically for the BBB and the KFC, and I was really disappointed to see that both have been taken off the menu. Those dishes were staples for me and honestly a big reason I kept coming back. Change is part of the restaurant world, I get that but it's hard not to miss the old favorites and some of the familiar faces. I do want to give a big thank you to Kosar and Ronnie for the great service during my recent visit. They were attentive, friendly, and made the experience much better despite my menu disappointment. I'm hoping some of the classics make a comeback!

Langos Hungarian Fry Bread

The food here is always thoughtful, innovative, and tasty this is a place where food provides an experience. The furniture is industrial-modern with splashes of pop-culture in the drink menu and restroom. My husband and I started exploring OCK's brunch menu about a year ago, we've been back every few months since. We started our meal with the cinnamon roll pancakes - yum! They were fluffy, the cheesecake frosting was the-bomb.com We then shared the smoked salmon benedict. Also very delicious. They did a great job with the hollandaise sauce. The came the loco moco - it is a hearty dish that that easily serves 2 people. OCK's twist was to add kimchi. We finished our meal with the Langos Hungarian Fry Bread was interesting! I appreciated the all the different ingredients - chimchurri, cultured cream, and white cheddar. My husband thought it was too greasy, and I wasn't a fan of the shredded cheddar (reminded me of a Lunchable's shredded mozzarella cheese). What helped this dish come to life was the acidity from the chimchurri. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience, and we look forward to our next visit!

Solid 3.5 stars! Superb service - great staff and restrooms were clean - the dining area was spacious and cozy! However the food fell a bit short for me. I failed to take photos of everything we ordered. We were a big table of 11 people and things were picked at before my phone could eat first. I understood that this was a tapas style restaurant and because of that we made multiple orders and shared family style. The best menu item is the triple B - Bacon Biscuits and Butter! $14 : You get 2 biscuits 3 strips of bacon and a glob of butter! But the biscuits were fluffy and delicate and so delicious with the butter and bacon. $21 : Scallop Carpacio you get 6 thin slices and the tart with sharp spice was a pleasant surprise. Scallops were buttery soft. $57 : Steak Frites - the steak was tender and tasty but the frites missed the mark and the kids were disappointed that they didn't get the fries they thought would be. Also the price doesn't live up to the dish that was presented. So definitely the first disappointment. $23 : loco moco - this excited me - until it didn't. One small patty in a small bowl of mushroom gravy - and it was a bit too underdone for my liking and a bit salty. $22 : Garlic noodles. Small bowl of garlic noodles and probably one of the better dishes they offer - great bite on the noodles and flavor. $16 : KFC - the best popcorn chicken I've ever had! Yes popcorn chicken because that is the size of these chicken nuggets. They are small but they're very very tasty and so the cost can be more justified in comparison to the other dishes! $20 : Chantrelle mushrooms - or rather - Chantrelle MUSH - these looked so tasty on the menu with parsnip puree and chips - until those shrooms turned out to be mushy and the puree had zero seasoning... I was severely disappointed and embarrassed that i ordered these and our group didn't really wanna eat them either. $25: Truffled Game Hen - the cook on the chicken was good, stayed moist and juicy and tasted fine but didn't give "truffle" $22: the burrito. Don't get it. Save your money. We asked for the chili jam on the side because the kids won't handle it but - man - that was the biggest dryest breakfast burrito ever The ube cake was deelish! I don't know how much it is because I ordered on the low to surprise my aunt for her birthday and I paid for the bill behind her back... $432 for: 1 scallop capraccio 1 game hen 1 chantrelle mushrooms 4 biscuits bacon and butter 1 steak frites 1 breakfast burrito 1 American breakfast 1 loco moco 2 garlic noodles 1 KFC 1 ube slice cake We didn't order any beverages.

Great place to unwind to get drinks and food. Located at a nice are where you can have a nice walk after your meal. The food and freshness is great with a great service to match. They have indoor dining, outdoor and also a bar. Great happy hour deals as well, if you can make it.

Any special treat for anniversary?

Not sure about anniversary, but for birthdays I usually let them know and they'll comp a dessert with some cute decoration on it and candles!

Does OCK allow dogs for outdoor seating?

Yes! They'll even offer a doggy water bowl!

Are reservations recommended on a weeknight? Say 5 pm on a Wednesday?

I think at 5:00 on a weeknight you'd be fine without a reservation. However, later in the evening or on weekends I'd suggest a reservation.

Is there a minimum per guest fee for larger parties (15-20)?

We went as a group of ~12 and weren't told that there is one. We did end up ordering at least 1 drink per person and some food to share. They will probably auto-charge gratuity.

What's their menu for happy hour?

It changes frequently, but is a small/limited menu.

Can I order food from lunch menu on weekends or only brunch menu available?

The menu literally always changes. I would call ahead to get a leg up on the day's menu

Does it have outdoor/patio seating? Is it kid friendly and provide high chairs?

yes

Do you know if it's noisy to eat indoors? Some of us are hearing impaired....

We went at a packed lunch hour and it wasn't too bad. My gf--who has aphasia and can't take being in noisy situations--didn't have issues.

How long is the general wait on weekdays, and if so is there a way to reserve times between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm?

On weekdays besides Fridays, you can usually just walk in and get a table these past few months. I believe on weekdays they're closed from 2:30-4 since it's the gap between lunch and happy hour/dinner

What is the average wait time for walk ins?

Depends on the day or mealtime, but if it's a weekend evening - safe to say 45 - 120 minutes. BUT… Read more

Gluten free options?

yes , many salads and meat only options .

During happy hour, is the full menu available?

Yes

Do they have a corkage fee?

Yes $20 first and second corkage and $40 third (3 bottle max)

Do they accept Walk-ins? If yes, then how long would be the wait for a party of 3 on a weekday?

Yes you can walk in, but we had to wait about almost 40 min

Does OCK offer heaters for people dining outdoors?

We do have heaters, but nor for individual tables. Still - don't expect indoor temperatures outdoors.

Does anyone know their HH days and hours?

Yes. They have Happy Hour everyday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Does any one know if they are offering outdoor dining at this time?

Yes, from 4-8pm.

How many dishes for 2 people? Are the portions tapa sized?

Depends on your appetite. I would say 3 dishes between two people is adequate. For larger appetites, probably 4 dishes.

Do they take reservations for lunch?

Yes! (On Resy)

Anyone know of menu options that are or could be made vegan?

This was supposed to be a special birthday dinner date that my husband meticulously planned for me,…read morebut it turned into the most horrendous dining experience I've ever had. We dined at Lira on November 14th. The Service (or Lack Thereof): The Menu Shortage: We arrived for our 6:45 PM reservation only to be told by the manager that they didn't have enough menus. We were told they'd bring them "later." Ignored for 35+ Minutes: We sat with nothing but water for over half an hour. To make matters worse, a table of six was seated after us and received their full entrees while we were completely ignored. The Drink Mess: After 40 minutes, the server told me they were out of ingredients for my drink. When I picked a second option, she tried to insist I wanted a drink with celery (my most despised vegetable). We thankfully stopped her before it was made, but the incompetence was staggering. The Food Fiasco: An hour into our reservation, someone dropped off a scallop dish. A while later, a server asked if I'd "received the scallops yet," and I realized the plate I was eating wasn't even intended for our table. We were so starving that my husband and I just shared them. Once we finished, the server finally asked my husband if he "still wanted his meal or if he wanted to cancel it." I finally lost my cool - of course he still wanted his dinner! The Aftermath: My husband didn't realize that my friends had actually made a separate reservation to take me back to this same spot the following night for a second birthday celebration. After this performance, there was no way I was going to step foot in this building again or give them another cent of our money. I texted my friends from the table to cancel those reservations and book elsewhere. With service this disorganized and insulting, this restaurant won't be in business long. Super disappointing. Don't waste your special occasions here. *Edit - it looks like Lira has closed. With the service we experienced, I am not surprised in the slightest. I am hopeful that whichever future business occupies this space is more successful.

I had high hopes for this upscale Mediterranean spot in downtown Campbell. Lots of hype, but the…read morefood was average and service was all over the place. I thought some dishes were great; the wagyu burger was decadent. Other dishes were not that special. The scallops didn't taste too fresh (likely frozen) and combining them with hummus didn't quite work. The side of bread was practically insulting. $5 for stale table bread was a surprise. Dishes arrived very late; we were nearly forgotten when we tried to order, and then after ordering, we waited 40 minutes between appetizers and the main course. Not because they were cooking it; they just forgot we were there and when they brought out the dishes, the scallops were no longer just-cooked, and the burger had been sitting for a bit. No apology, just an acknowledgment it was late, and no discount (not even on the stale bread). They offered us wine, we said we didn't drink, and they just moved on. I debated a lot about how to review this. It's my personal experience that was disappointing, and I'm glad some reviews are very upbeat. But there's a handful of reviews noting frustrating delays... and that needs to be worked on.

She was always responsive and quick, which is super important for a frazzled, pregnant woman. Hey there party People…read more Decided to venture into Willow Glen today on the hunt for something new to try. Boy howdy did we hit the Mother Load with "The Table". We hit the Brunch hour and the place was rocking. We were able to sit right down amazingly. There is a fabulous patio to people watch and enjoy the California weather. Our server Charles was really great. He walked us through the menu giving us the 911 on watch to order. Most of the plates were perfect shareable bites. Making it easy to try multiple plates and really get your inner Foodie on. We started with the Seasonal Banana Pancakes with crushed walnuts and cinnamon maple syrup. Inside the pancakes were fresh bananas and the walnuts were crushed very small but added a great texture. Moving on to the Chicago Steak sandwich don't get confused but in Chicago they refer to Roast Beef as steak. The Au Jus dip was very flavorful without being a salt bomb. Loved the potato roll they used all round a killer sandwich. Going a little outside the box we tried the Jerk Chicken Sandwich. The pineapple slaw with this amazing peppery chutney type sauce played so well with the acid of the pineapple. Another must have sandwich. I ask you how can you go to a new restaurant and not have some dessert. With everything else being so good our expectations were pretty high and we were not disappointed. The Giant Profiterole is exactly that GIANT and stuffed with White Chocolate Gelato and Hot Chocolate Sauce that you can drizzle over the top. To fricken die for good. When we were seated, we were given a list of items that were not available. I originally wanted to try the pancakes but ended up ordering the chicken sandwich instead. This was genuinely one of the worst chicken sandwiches I have ever had. It was extremely gristly, fatty, and made with dark meat, which felt like an odd choice for a chicken sandwich. I'm not sure why this cut of chicken was used. The fries were alright, but they did not come with the sandwich and cost an additional $5. Our total came to almost $90 for three entrees with no beverages. I was especially frustrated because my sandwich was inedible.
