    Veggie Breakfast Burrito
    Deweyne L.

Sixty years in business. I walked into Flooky's fully expecting to discover the secret to their longevity. Bright yellow walls, friendly cashier, good energy all around. Ordered the Veggie Breakfast Burrito without spinach and it was delicious, right up until bite four when I hit a piece of egg shell. And just like that, the burrito lost me. To be clear, the three stars aren't about the taste, the flavor was solid. But crunching through egg shell is one of those things that's hard to shake off and the enjoyment kind of evaporates after that. I get that mistakes happen. Flooky's has sixty years of goodwill to fall back on and I'd probably give them another chance because of it.

I love flooky's ! It's consistently good and comforting, cozy little neighborhood diner vibes and friendly staff. Just be prepared a custom burrito will run you about 20 hots .

I have been to Flooky's before, but never tried their breakfast burrito, apparently their signature and most popular menu item. From past experience, the high carry out traffic and phone in orders, has always been present. So this time, I decided to order on line, for a pick up. My choice was the Flooky's Breakfast Burrito (scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon, ham, sausage and hash browns), with the free addition of jalapeños. During the ordering process, I selected the option to not add ham. There was no web opportunity to substitute. During the pick up sequence, I learned that when ham is taken out, the default substitution is bacon. Music to my ears. Complimentary salsa (nice, not too acidic), was included but not used. The raw jalapeños did the job. Immediately, I attacked one half of the burrito and was very surprised. The scrambled eggs were overcooked, there was a small amount of bacon and sausage, thus being unable to accentuate and infuse the flavor or taste. I liked the fact that there was minimal cheese (so not too much gooey). Furthermore, and as expected, what transpired was that the whole filling came out dry and all you tasted was the rubbery eggs. There was also a lack of salt. If they added sufficient bacon, it would have solved that problem. A disappointment. I have had their cheese burger and sausage breakfast plate in the past and they were commendable. What do you think happened this time? Food places think that when you serve scrambled eggs as a menu item, it is a home run. Quite the contrary. The perfect scrambled eggs are actually tricky to prepare. Precise attention and technique is required to produce soft, fluffy, silky and moist scrambled eggs. When that happens, the scrambled eggs alone, can take you to another place.

Wow! What a great breakfast burrito! I got a veggie one add sausage and it was amazing. Perfectly cooked, balanced, flavorful, everything I always want with a breakfast burrito. Salsa was good, they give you 2 with the burritos and it was perfect. I'll definitely be back!

Located in Northridge is this place that doesn't specialize in anything specific but has a wide range of menu options and delivers. You come here when you don't know if you want a burger, a burrito , a breakfast platter , or something different. This place has it all. The service is excellent with the people at the register giving you good options . The ambiance is very quiet and peaceful. They got a TV towards the back but it's loud enough to where you can hear it but not loud enough to enjoy a good conversation. I would recommend this spot when you're not sure what to get, so get one and try another next time. Scored 7/10.

5/5 I give this place. Great service and great attentive friendly staff. Parking is good right in the big wide center with other vendors. I'm impressed Joe the food was cooked to order. Good portion, the burritos were seasoned and cooked well. The sausage was amazing! Onion rings were good and crunchier than I expected. Inside has good clean tables. I hope they keep this place clean, good food and good service. Worth the visit and I recommend

I stopped in on a Sunday morning to pick up a breakfast burrito for takeout. Brittney, the girl at the counter, was wonderful and helped us choose the right item, as the menu is quite extensive. I ended up getting the no meat burrito, which is simple but very satiating. The real standout of this meal was the salsa, which had a good kick but was still very well seasoned. I would come back just to buy that. Definitely recommend this place! Great for a quick casual meal, and it does the classics well.

I've always enjoyed Flooky's but it does seem like their pastrami has changed / not as packed in the breakfast burritos compared to before...and same for the ham as well. It's really filling and great when you're craving a breakfast burrito in the valley. The service was good. The interior of this location was yellow and black, it was also clean inside as well. Parking is also not an issue here since it's shared a lot among other businesses.

Flooky's is one of those hole in the wall spots, small business with great food to back it up. If you want comfort food, you will find it here. Burgers, fries, onion rings, hotdogs, sandwiches, salads, breakfast and more. The portions are very good and will fill you up for sure without breaking the bank too. I got the Frisco burger and onion rings. The Frisco is two patties with Swiss, lettuce and tomato, sub mustard for mayo on sourdough. The burger was juicy, cheese melted into the sourdough and seasoned like Mom would make, yum! The onion rings are enough for two, although I could have eaten them all. The batter is perfect, crispy and hot. Love myself a good onion ring. We also order the Texas burger ( cheese burger topped with pastrami) a hamburger and a cheeseburger with a couple orders of fries. The guy behind the counter was friendly, helped with some of what we ordered and our food came out piping hot. Just a good experience and great food. Go support local, just don't worry about your diet here. Enjoy!

Flookys is a nice small restaurant that serves classic American food. I enjoyed the food options and variety. The staff was friendly, fast, and efficient. The restaurant provides generous portions for an affordable price. I got a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. The steak had great flavor and the sandwich was on nice quality bread. My only issue was that the bread size was too large in my opinion to the amount of meat provided. The bread overtook the entire sandwich and that is not my ideal Philly cheesesteak. However I do recommend trying this place the flavors and variety is enough for me to come back! I look forward to trying other items.

Flookys has the best breakfast burrito/salsa combo around! However, we decided to stop by for lunch instead of breakfast and tried something new. I ordered the Bernie burger and omg, it did not disappoint. The burger is huge and delicious. Can't wait to go back to get another one!

    Hubby's favorite breakfast burrito.

After our young granddaughter's recent soccer game the family in attendance headed out for breakfast. Our son-in-law suggested that we skip just quick and easy at McDonald's and chose Flooky's instead. They've been there before, but it was the first time for Dear Hubby and me. I'd plan on going back. The staff was friendly, the food was prepared fresh, and the prices are reasonable for the portion size. It's a big step up from fast food breakfast. The interior isn't very remarkable, but it's clean and sporting bright colors. The menu has lots of options, not just for breakfast hours. My combination plate of grilled ham slices with French toast and scrambled eggs proved too much for one sitting, so I took half home and had another meal out of it the next day. Not bad for around $11. DH enjoyed his breakfast burrito. My understanding is that they are famous for those, and you can pick which kind of breakfast meat(s) you want inside. We all got a boost for the rest of our Saturday activities. Great to sit down with the little soccer player and her folks while sharing a well-made meal together.

This is definitely a popular place. There was a bit of a line to order. The employee seemed a bit frustrated, and I don't blame him. There was no one helping him take the orders AND give out orders as well. Breakfast burrito - I liked it. Huge, cooked well. Based on reviews, I had to get the onion rings - excellent advice! I'll have to go back to try some of the other items. I'd recommend.

messed up our own order lol. i called back kinda annoyed and the guy who helped us was SO nice…read more(even though we realized it was our bad after). he apologized anyway, remade them fresh the food was good and he went out of his way to be super sweet and fix everything. made the whole thing way better. service like that make me wanna come back fr. def recommend if you want good food and nice people!!

We came here expecting a quick meal at a fast-casual restaurant, but it took about 45 minutes to…read morereceive our food. Our order was simple: three breakfast burritos, one hot dog, cheese fries, and onion strings. There was no reason for such a long wait. The food was even more disappointing than the service. The $15.99 Cajun breakfast burrito was one of the worst breakfast burritos I've had. It was wrapped in an extremely thick tortilla that overwhelmed the filling. There was very little meat, making it feel mostly like bread rather than a breakfast burrito. It was also extremely salty, and parts of the filling were cold, making it seem as though it hadn't been heated evenly. For nearly $16, it was completely not worth the price. The other breakfast burritos had the same issue with the thick tortilla, making them dense and unbalanced. The cheese fries were average at best, and the $9.99 onion strings were overpriced for both the portion and the quality. In total, we spent almost $80 before tip, and the meal was simply not worth it. Between the 45-minute wait, disappointing food quality, poor value, and inconsistent preparation, this was one of the most underwhelming fast-casual dining experiences I've had. I won't be coming back, and I cannot recommend this location.
