We received friendly greetings when we entered the store. We were looking for tiles and grout in particular. The selections were good, but the way the tile displays are set up, it was a bit confusing for us when trying to find particular types of tiles. I feel that they should be kept in same categories and have larger labeling or signs identifying the different types and/or uses. For example; walls and floors, walls only, porcelain/ceramic, etc. It also took a while for someone to check if we needed assistance for choices and placing an order. An employee named, Daniel, was called over to help us. He provided assistance for figuring out the amount of each item we needed based on the information we received from our contractor to complete our project. What happened to this business for 2026? They have no quality, no integrity anymore. In 2025 and before they were good. They must be ready to close and go out of business. Sales and Design Christian is a laying piece of ****. He will tell you all false information to make a sale. He lies on top of lies. Manager Brian is a joke. Is he ever a manager? They can not deliver anywhere close to when promised. Person after person at this store, does not help and the lies make them unbearable to work with. In addition, in 2026 Floor and Decor is working with a new contractor, Installations made easy, Inc. This contractor is part of the problem. The prior contractors from 2025 and prior years were excellent and Floor and Decor changed to this nightmare. WHY? Avoid this nightmare company. They claim they have 50,000-60,000 employees not independent contractors. They have 1000's of supervisors but cannot connect to one. I believe this company is an absentee owner with his airhead daughter working the phones. They know nothing, they can not find anything, and why Floor and Decor does not vet them is unknown. They are a waste of time. Hours spent just having them look up a work order that the girl has no training and does not know what they do. The claim all their installers for plumbing, tile, flooring, counters, etc are their own employees and not independent contractors. Do not buy Kingston Pike from Floor and Decor. Product mislabeling, false warranties, horrible customer service, and lawyers is what you get. Along with floors that need to be replaced after a few months. Purchased the Kingston Pike and had it professionally installed by a wood-worker, because they don't provide an instal service. (even though they say anyone can do it with a saw and rubber hammer). The floor state Water PROOF. Scratch resistant. Commercial flooring. Easy clean. The sales associate literally took his keys out to scratched the sample, and I was amazed. Seeing all of these selling points surely had me sold. Saying you can drop basically anything and it will be ok. FALSE. The store manager even pointed out the floor care section and showed me their tip floor Bona mops. Because you want to take the best care of your brand new floors in your new home. Unbeknown to me, you can't use spray mop-like cleaning products on laminate flooring. PRODUCT MISLABELING. Even through it's on their website saying you can. Shortly after my floors were installed and everyday life activities, I saw the floors becoming less and less appealing every day. From dropping something as simple as house keys turned my floors into a very undesirable aspect of my new home. Routine cleaning with the spray mop, that was provided by the store manager, turned one nightmare into another. I started to see my floors warping, bubbling, and becoming unhinged, along with my patience. I filed a claim with the warranty dept, which they gave me a small amount of money for the scratches, dings, dents, chips, and surface issues with the floor. I then had to filed a second claim with the warranty department for the WATER PROOF aspect. Upon weeks of supervisors, claims specialists, professional flooring inspectors, Floor and Decor stated that the spray mop and "over cleaning" was causing my floors to bubble and become warped. A commercial grade floor, that is labeled water proof, scratch resistant, and is one of their higher end products are saying it's damaged by a Bona mop. Mindless, they stated "anyone can instal these floors if you have a saw. They' fit together like lego pieces and you just cut to fit". Well, I wanted my floors too look the best they could in my new home, so I hired a professional. A professional who built custom products and was a lead carpenter for ABT in Glenview for years and has never had a single issue with satisfaction. Months later, upon multiple pictures, emails, phone calls, inspectors who all agreed with me, Floor and Decor told me to hire an attorney to sue them for mislabeling and faulty product. Now I to have my floors removed, trim taken up, new floors put in, trim back in and repainted/caulked on my own because of misrepresentation, horrible customer care, and faulty product. I had it put in my foyer area and kitchen but it squeaks and there are lot of gaps in between. we noticed but thought that could be normal for hardwood as it was our first experience with hardwood. we had ordered more last year but 3 of the flooring specialists refused to put that bad hardwood floor. when we asked to return it, they said we need to pay for it to be sent back to them; however , the guy name Corey helped me with that. that. my struggle continued with floor and decor customer service to do something about the bad wood but till date, nothing is done. read more

We are doing some remodeling in our home. Our contractor suggested we look for flooring here. They have a fantastic selection of tile, wood, laminate, and just about anything you can think of. We found a laminate we love and it is back-ordered until October, but this is the one we want. So, we wait. We were very impressed with the store, their selection, and the knowledge of their employees. I'm afraid I had to deduct one star. As for going with state and CDC guidance for COVID, we were the only ones in the store who wore masks. Employees didn't need to, and their patrons didn't. That lost them another. We will use the store and, hopefully, when the pandemic is over and we can all feel safe in spaces where people don't wear masks, I'm quite sure they will earn the stars back. read more

The boxes were not open and the product was not damaged, I read the receipt and did not state what the cashier told me. I called to speak to the store manager and that was the came answer as the cashier other than she didn't see the boxes. 30 year warranty is a total scam. It didn't make it 30 months. The process you have to go through is insane for them to deny you anyway for totally bogus reasons. The flooring is suppose to be DIY and fairly simple to install. No where in their instructions does it say to do what they use as an excuse to deny your claim. Almost $3000 loss. It's total %$$#@. I bought Duralux and it expanded WAY more than it should have and buckled. Eight separate rooms, some with no one and nothing in them. There were thresholds so each room was a separate entity. I called to ask a simple question and was treated as if I was a burden and an inconvenience. the person who answered the phone was ill prepared to work in a service industry. he failed to put his phone on mute while commenting to a co-worker that he "gets all of the crazy callers". I won't bother them further with I remodel a 5,500 square foot home damaged by a water pipe break. No shortage of flooring stores to choose from in the area and I will gladly not be purchasing anything from this establishment. I've had the absolute best experience shopping at Floor and Decor and if you don't want to read this long review - just know to ask for Dawn or Charlie at the Arlington Heights Floor and Decor. I'll start with Dawn. I can not say enough amazing things about her! She is extremely attentive, informative, patient, kind and friendly. I've worked with her twice and will now only work with her (or Charlie). No one else compares. I am a first time homebuyer and I had no idea what I wanted to do with my floors. The morning of my closing I was a little nervous and went into Floor and Decor. She assisted my mom and I right away. She followed us around the entire tile section with a flat bed while we chose which samples we wanted and she placed them in the cart. Could not have been more helpful. She also gave great tips, recommendations and ideas. She made me feel so much better about the whole process. The next time I went back (today) I asked for her specifically. I was looking for more of a decorative flooring. I showed her my inspiration picture and she knew exactly what to do. She even knew the right square footage from a photo when I didn't. (I confirmed with my Fiance who was able to measure). When the Marble Tile I chose had different variations that were not all going to work- Dawn helped me go through 20-30 boxes of tile to HAND SELECT 80 individual tiles that were the tones I wanted. She literally goes above and beyond and makes me feel so comfortable. She is incredible at what she does but she also makes the experience fun and seamless. Another amazing employee is Charlie. My parents worked with him to select a tile and were wowed by his professionalism and knowledge. My dad is pretty knowledgeable about flooring and was SO impressed by Charlie. He is precise, patient and EXTREMELY smart. My dad is also not the easiest to work with and Charlie was so attentive and kind. He truly is a great employee with so much potential. Dawn and Charlie are the employees that every business should have. You can tell when people ACTUALLY enjoy helping people and WANT to help people versus people who are just waiting to clock out. This is where I would buy all the necessities I need when I renovated my place. The staff in here is friendly, accommodating and definitely helpful to customers like me. The store is big and there is literally a lot of choices that is why I did not settle with only one design. It is easy to find something great and everything inside I must say is good and quality seems nice since a friend recommended this store because she also bought the same tiles she had in her home in this store. He helped us with bathroom tile, picked it out, explained everything about the tile and we purchased it. Also helped us decide on flooring for our whole house that we are remodeling. Worst customer service ever! The manager doesn't care about anything. I keep asking to talk to a manager for an hour now and they keep sending different people but not the manager. Iam here to return a small saw that i bought couple days ago for a very small travertine mosaic job (prowler 4.5 worst garbage ever) because the guard broke 2 times and the tiles keep getting stuck when I try to cut them. I end up using a grinder to finish the job. They don't accept returns for tile saws! Its a new policy they say. Why don't they mention it when they sell the saw on the shelves or when you paying for it. Thats illegal! If something isn't working as intended too you should be able to return it! I needed grout for just one tile. Unfortunately, a 10lb bag was the smallest quantity I could buy. Chris Brinko exceeded my expectations when, instead of selling me the 10lb bag, he went in back and found just enough of the exact grout I needed for just one tile. Bought engineered bamboo flooring floor them, checked all the labels on the boxes to ensure i buy the same type of flooring.
