After shopping Menards, Lowes, Home Depot and online in search of bathroom floor tile without success, I finally found Floor & Decor. Dean answered my questions about current decorating trends and assisted me in finding just what I needed to help me blend my aesthetic with potential resale value in a couple of years. The price was also better than I expected. My only two suggestions for improvement would be, 1) add signage to show there was floor tile in the center of the store. I saw the sign for "decorative floor tile" but did not realize there was other, less expensive, floor tile elsewhere in a separate area, and 2) have people on the floor ask customers if they need help. I was wandering in the wrong area and 4 different employees either stood talking to each other or were putting new samples on the wall who basically ignored me. read more

I have to give big thanks to Mr. Jalen Amison, (ADM install materials) and his professionalism. I was returning an item I purchased 20 days ago (New in packaging with receipt), and was rudely and aggressively rebuffed by the CountrySide Store assistant Scott and the manager Carl. Mr Amison at the Aurora store knew return policies and courtesy to customers who are following the corporate return policies. I felt reassured that my shopping at the Aurora store was valued. Not so at the COUNTRYSIDE store, where aggressive nastiness is a norm and where the MANAGER decides the return policy. I will have Floor and Decor LAST on my list of places to shop, but if I do return, it will only be to the AURORA store. read more

Nucore Performance waterproof rigid core flooring is garbage. The interlock system breaks easy. Floor and Decore will not stand behind their product if you don't put down a moisture barrier of which moisture was not the problem. DO NOT PURCHASE TERRIBLE REVIEWS! read more

So my husband bought a pallet of tile yesterday. Brought half home yesterday and went back for the rest today. Guess what? The rest of our pallet was sold and is no longer ours. Our tile pallet we bought is literally sitting on the dock and they won't let us have it because it's sold to another person. This store has no interest in making this situation right. We have to bring back 1600 pounds of tile so we can get a full refund. So driving two hours round trip 3x'a for nothing. We were about to spend thousands in this store and now they get nothing. I purchased a tile cutter here. After discovering that it will not cut a straight line on the tile and had a part falling off, they refused to help me in any way. The box the cutter was in was previously opened and there was no manufacturer literature inside. They would not take a return on the broken tool they sold me nor would they help find contact information for Sentinal Tools. I will never buy anything from this terrible store again!! read more

DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE!! I purchased 12" x 24" tiles to remodel my shower on 5/15/22. I have to ask for assistance to unstrap a new skid of tiles since there were only 2 cases left on the unstrap skid. I told the store employee I need it total of 9 cases and he helped me loaded onto my cart. On the second day of my installing the tiles, my installer realized the tiles I bought from Floor & Decor are different sizes. They were not all 12" x 24" tiles. Some boxes were 23.75", some are 24" and some are little over 24". My installer had to tear down some installed tiles in order to meet the grout lines. BUYING PRODUCTS FROM THIS PLACE MADE MY PROJECT A COMPLETE DISASTER! At this time, I took the rest of the tiles back to the Floor & Decor. The store had just closed as I pull up. I asked one of the employee if he can get me a store manager while waiting outside of the store. Jennifer Carreno (Department Manager) came out to assist me. After I told her my situation, she asked if I'm doing the work myself or did I have the installer to do the work. I said the installer is doing the work. Then she asked if I bought all the tiles at one time or different times and I told her all at the same time. Then she asked if I picked out the tiles or someone in the store help me and I told her your employee had to cut off straps from the new skid and he loaded 9 cases onto my cart. As I'm talking to her, I can see Jennifer is trying to find a way out and not be accountable for the store error. Then the she pointed at the fine print on my receipt and read out loud "Thoroughly inspect and measure all products before installation as will constitute acceptance". So therefore, they are not responsible for my losses. She also said my installer should inspect the products before installing. I said to her, this is ridiculous and If there is any color variation or sizes, then is the store fault of that employee picked and load onto my cart. Jennifer continue to twist the blame on me for not reading the fine print and the mistake of my installer and not taking care of the damage done. This is when I lose my cool and we both screaming at each other. She wouldn't give me her full name, the contacts for next chain in command, she only refer me to corporate. As the situation got heated & louder in the parking lot and more words exchange from me and the Jennifer, it got out of control at this point. Her husband sitting in the lot waiting for her to get off, got out of his car and he started approaching me by yelling towards me "DON'T TALK TO WIFE LIKE THIS". Her husband made it much worse and 6 more employees had come out to the parking lot. Jennifer continue to twist the blame on me for not reading the fine print and the mistake of my installer and n o t t a k i ng care of the damage done. This is when I lose my cool and we both screaming at each other. She wouldn't give me her full name, the contacts for next chain in command, she only refer me to corporate. Here is the funny part, I called 5 different stores to match the tiles and when I told them I need size 9, non of the employees knows what I'm talking about. I don't often write reviews unless I felt the employee went above and beyond. Jalen and Kelsey were two employees that made our experience amazing. They were so kind, welcoming and incredibly helpful. It started from Kelsey being so willing to help us look up our order, find when we'll have tile, and help us figure out the tile we need for our laundry. Then Jalen assisted us twice this month in finding everything we need for our new construction. He was so patient with us as we had a lot of questions since we are doing this ourselves. He was so well versed in this trade it gave us peace of mind knowing we left with not only the most beautiful pieces of tile but new tips & tricks for our projects. Lastly, Jalen stayed late today just to make we got everything we needed for our project. I couldn't have asked for a better experience here, we will go out of our way to come here instead of any big box retailer. read more

I bought Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring from Floor & Decor in fall of 2020 and they recommended that we use "Installation Made Easy" to connect us with installers. The "Installation Made Easy" installer we used was PGB Flooring LLC. What a mistake! The installer was very hard to get in touch with, was in a hurry when he installed the flooring, the floor was installed poorly and is now buckling and coming apart. I contacted "Installation Made Easy" to fix the problem, but they told me I was 7-days past the end of the guarantee so they could not, would not help me. I contacted PGB Flooring, but he would not repair the floor without charging me for the repairs. It is now going to cost me $3000 to hire a different contractor to fix my floor. read more

I went in to this store for my first time today as I wanted to purchase some sample tile pencil trim. I was impressed with their selection and picked out about 5 pieces to purchase and take home to see how they worked. Unfortunately, they only had 1 of their check-out lanes open and the person in front of me was making a very large purchase and it was taking a lot of time. After about 10 minutes of waiting, I was getting a little frustrated. Not with the people making the purchase, as I totally understand they wanted to make sure they we getting it correct. But as I looked around the store I saw no less than 5 or 6 employees standing around, talking to each other and basically doing nothing. Unfortunately, I had a lot on my to-do list today, so I asked one of the employees just walking back and forth in front of the check-out lanes is there is anyway he could just take ring me out so I could be on my way. His response was ... "This is the only check-out lane we have open, so you will just need to wait". For the last 20 years, I have been implementing customer service (a.k.a. Customer Relationship Management software). In addition, I have been developing proposals, overseeing projects and working with my customers to make sure they are being listen to, taken care of and happy with the consulting services we are providing. In the laste couple of years, I have helped implement a number of retailing applications. With the technologies and tools we have today, companies need to focus the customer experience! This is what will seperate the separate the wheat from the chaff in the retail and hospitaly industries. So when I hear "This is the only check-out lane we have open, so you will just need to wait", delivered with arrogance while a number of employees are standing around "shooting the shit" with other employees, it really frosts my ass. So I got in my car, drove across the street to Home Depot and picked up what I needed. So there is one thing I can say for sure, I will NEVER step foot in another Floor & Decor store again. Period! Here's my experience- we are in process of remodeling our master bath after 25 years and we scheduled a design meeting on to get help. We uploaded pictures of our bathroom on line and provided some ideas on what we like. When we arrived for our design consult, Gentiana greeted us and reviewed our pictures and asked us Great questions to better understand our style. She then took us around the store and we chose tile floor and tile for shower. Gentiana was awesome ! She had an innate sense which ones we loved and ones that weren't for us. She also is very talented in matching colors and textures with the vanity and other items in mind and I loved that she also explained why certain colors and textures work well in our case . The design assistance provided by Gentiana Hoxhalli was excellent. Everything came out very nice. The quality of the materials is very good and plenty of supply. The price is excellent. The only flaw was we came up short in what I paid for and what I received by about $95. In the end, it is my fault because when I picked up I should have taken more time to count what I was being given at will call. When I returned to the job mid-job to report it the manager of whoever was looking into it ate up an hour of my time disappearing to check inventory and "video". I didn't lose the material but they didn't help with that. The lesson is to count everything closely. Otherwise, it was great. read more

Horrible customer service. You know its bad when another customer comments on how poorly you are being treated. John should not be a manger based on the way he thinks its appropriate to talk to people. Cooperate management needs to be involved to ensure discipline occurs. You can treat people like people even when giving bad news. I had to tell him to stop because he kept being rude to my husband. Point out to him how he was being disrespectful. Then he decided he wanted to argue with me! Customers should not have to deescalate a situation that the manager is causing. For reference we were trying to returning product past the 90 days (we had for a year). We originally brought one box in and were told that they could do the return for the store credit(what we wanted). Then were told they couldn't accept it even though they still carry the same product and everything.(after bringing the rest of the product) The store manager sonja said that the third party number does nothing and wont change anything. She said it would just waste ones time and i would be better off selling it to someone. Sounds deceptive and fishy no? Its funny that you could return flooring to other stores but not here. Even though they still sell it. Will never shop here again. Do not recommend this location. read more

I wanted to like this store, but i have mixed feelings. I went there few weeks ago and had an unpleasant experience. All of the employees came on way too aggressive. I just wanted to shop for backsplash but I got asked more than 8 times if I needed help. I didn't. Let me shop in peace, please. The second time was super awkward. Walked in and 10 employees and the manager were having a meeting in front of the registers. I heard the manager Kyle talk about their budget and sales goals for the day. Yeah, now I am largely done with this place. After getting 3/4 through a large master bath room floor using high gloss porcelain tiles made in China I am pissed. I must have gotten lucky with the first 7 boxes having only a couple minor defects because now every single tile I pull from multiple boxes is defective. White dust showing under glaze or poking through glaze, plus bad spots on edges that will jump out once grouted. I returned a couple boxes thinking I could find a few good ones to finish the job. After opening lots of boxes and inspecting over 100 tiles they are ALL bad to some degree. Now I have to spend time hiding as much as possible and just accepting the dots in spots. The store folks seemed not to care and will doubtless put the returns right back out for sale. Quality control is clearly not a priority for their Chinese supplier. Never again guys, my time is too valuable to waste like this. read more

Floor and Decor helped with my kitchen remodel, so I am back for my bathroom remodel. Kiya spent so much time helping me because I do not have a gift of decor. She helped me narrow down my favorite tiles and flooring to three choices. I took home one of each and lived with them for a week. Kiya helped me pick grout, priced out a few choices and showed me accents I could use on the tile. She went around the store finding just what I needed and had it rung up and ready, so when I got to check out it I just had to say my name. Every cashier I dealt with, including Percy, was excellent. I forget the name of the other cashier. I asked several other workers for help............. I visited four times to make my decision; they were all helpful and patient. The choices at this store are excellent. Even grout colors were so numerous they had kits to help you pick. When it was time to leave, they loaded the car for me. I suggest coming in during the week because they get busier on the weekend. read more

While buying vinyl plank flooring, I inquired about a tool for cutting planks to make the job easier. Staff showed me and recommended a specific tool. Arrived home. Tried to use the cutter. Planks would not fit through the opening. Realized the tool only works with material less than 5mm. The flooring I purchased is 6.5mm thick. So I send my girlfriend back to the store to attempt a return while I continued installing the floor. Management would not allow her to return the tool because the box was opened. Which I understand the policy is probably in place to deter anyone from using the tool and returning it after the job is complete. The way I see it: You suggested and sold me a tool that would not work with your flooring. You would not allow me to return in less than an hours time with a legitimate reason. So I have to eat the 140 dollars. Do not buy any tool from Floor & Decor if you are not experienced with flooring or any tools associated with your project. They clearly do not care and are all business. read more

Love this store, the selection and usually helpful service. I have spent thousands here the past couple of years. Today I tried to exchange two tubes of caulk worth $12. I made this purchase end of January so I admit I am 60 days over their return policy. They would not budge, said it's no longer carried and the caulk expired useful date was 5/18. There was product on the shelf in back still both sanded and Un sanded. However I was told given the expiration date there was nothing they could do. Did you know caulk only had a 6 month self life? My wife and I were in looking for tile for our wall and floor in our new basement shower. We wandered around and were overwhelmed with the choices. Then Jenifer Carreno came to the rescue. We asked for some advice and she stopped what she was doing and jumped right in. We were thinking of doing subway tiles, but she immediately picked out some 24 x 48 wall tiles and some different choices for the floor. We weren't sure how it would look, but we took some samples home and went with her selection. It couldn't have turned out better. Once installed, it really looked great. There is such a thing as FALSE ADVERTISING, and Floor and Decor is guilty of this deceptive practice. They advertise: "You'll get the lowest price every day on all of our tile, wood, stone and installation products. If you find a lower price on the same product, we'll honor it." Well, not if you see the same product at another Floor and Decor for less. In fact, they won't even offer you the same price online as they offer in store. There was some logistical nuances with the delivery given the volume we ordered and location. Not only did John help with out of state delivery, he also spent a few hours with tile selection and confirming measurements.
