The wood floor had a lot of pieces that were ruined or did not match the rest of the box. 2 pallets of boxes and at least 100 sqft that were not able to be used in the house. I had to go buy more boxes. They don't take returns unless it is a full box as sold. I talked to the store and they took my complaint about this but did not get back to me. Also had an issue with the contractor they use for installation. The store chain does not hold their contractor's accountable. I called them ( the HW outside of CA) five times to follow up on the status of my complaint and no one called me back. 5 months later and still no word or follow up. Very poor customer service!!! I won't go to this store any more nor buy from there! read more

My wife and I went to the store on Bell and 59th avenue to look at different tile for a backsplash. We found a couple took pictures came home and then decided on one. I went back Saturday October 3rd to purchase the tile we had decided on. The location of the one we decided on seem to have changed. An employee " Keith" was walking by so I asked them if they had to change these locations he kept walking and said no not in the last few months. I said well I have pictures of what I was looking for and I can't find it and he said okay as he kept walking. Keith the employee needs to find a new job. This was an extremely difficult 5 star earn from me. It starts off with having a great an amazing Pro desk team that continues to over impress my sales team and our customers. As usually Cristina along with her design team get us ready with 3-5 different selections to help our customers with current trends, color matching and more for their projects. And we use these designs to help our customers pick which one they would like to go with in their homes. (The hard part) while they do their best at Floor and Decor to keep us updates on tile changes and discontinued items every once in a while it gets missed. So on this occasion we had an extremely detailed client that picked a setup after more than 15 attempts. I went to place the order at the pro desk to find out the main tile was discontinued and no longer available. However the team found a way to have tile shipped from multiple stores that had a little here and their that also had the same die-lot to be sent to the store for pick up. While 10 days later we went to pick up the tile and there was NO tile. Also no idea where or when it would be there. (The above and beyond) after hearing this from my crew that was their to pick up the tile I made a call to our rep Cristina. Here's where the (5) stars were EARNED not only did she say (I got you Norman) she said WE will fix this. She took ownership of the issue, she didn't pass the blame or anything she just owned it. That's when about an hour later I got a call.... Cristina calling me from her (I hope Bluetooth) said "text me the job-site address" not only did she find and collect all the tile we needed for our project she made it clear we were valued and she personally delivered to an eager crew that needed that tile to continue working that day. I wish to thank all that helped my Construction company complete it's job (on time) and as promised but also a huge shout out to an amazing rep that causes our company to continue to return back over and over Cristina . read more

What a nice group of people that work at this store. From the friendly cashiers to the sales staff, a pleasure to work with, for sure. I was on my way home to OC when I stopped at this store to pick up some tile and grout that I had chosen online. Eli was such a nice professional young man that assisted me in helping me choose grout and answering some questions. He kept checking on me while I was looking in the store. When I was ready to make my purchase another sales person, Jeffrey, helped me load stuff on my cart and once purchased, loaded into my car. Before that he introduced me to another very helpful person, (I did not get the name). But she was very helpful in giving me ideas about cleaning some other tile I had recently installed. Ask for Arette. If you need some design help, some color help, some what-products-do-I-need help or some how-to help, ask for Arette. She was a wonderful objective third party for my husband and I. She was funny and friendly. SHE WAS PATIENT WITH US. She didn't rush us. We made an appointment and went in planning to spend a long time picking out materials and colors. Together, we wiped through our to-do list in just over an hour. Arette will help you think of things you won't think of unless you're a professional. And she does it all without making you feel like you should know or it's common knowledge. She is very knowledgeable about the products, doesn't expect you to be and doesn't show off. The five stars is for Arette specifically. The store itself gets 3-4. We scheduled an appointment for design help. The person called in sick so someone called us to reschedule for the next day. The next day came and we showed up on time but THAT person called off also. They never told us. We ended up waiting for someone else and that's when we met Arette. We went in to speak with a bathroom designer and checked in with the front desk people. They said to go wait at design table and they would send someone over. After waiting 20 minutes no one showed up. As we sat there we noticed an old food wrapper and the desktop was cluttered and very messy. Business cards were upside down in the card holder and we just thought it was low end and unprofessional. We finally walked out. No one ever did help us. The register were busy talking to each other and never acknowledged us. Poor customer service here. read more

Last minute decision making of a final tile selection lead us here with less than 2 hours before closing. A sales associate named Carlos helped us out and the 5 stars is mainly for him. Without even trying, he answered all our questions, gave us plenty of options, and really took the time to make us feel confident with our tile decision. He really did offer option after option to help us decide how we would pay and transport 1300 sq. Ft. of tile to LA and he wasn't even sales-persony at all. He was more like a wise monk offering such great advice and suggestions. I have over 7 years of customer service and management experience, and this guy was effortlessly one of the most helpful employees I've come across. Instead of giving close ended answers to our many questions, he gave us options after options when he could see we were about to hit a brick wall. His extended knowledge of the ins and outs of this place actually allowed my boyfriend to make a quicker decision then he usually does. I used to love this store but recent actions have soured my opinion. You place an order because the website says the item is in stock -- mistake #1. You believe them when they say that your $1500 order will be in stock and ready for pick up a week later -- mistake #2. You try to reach customer service to find out what's going on, get put on hold for 67 minutes, and finally hang up because no one is ever going to help you -- mistake #3. You email customer service and are told that someone will get back to you in three business days --it's been a week and still no call or email. I'm at the point where I'm going to file a claim against Floor and Decor with the Better Business Bureau. Worst buying experience of my life. read more

They sold a piece of marble curb for a shower that was cracked and chipped on both ends and since it was wrapped in plastic I didn't notice until I was home. My tile guy said to take it back it's unusable. So I had to drive it back, which is a pain because I don't live close. They were rude and unprofessional. And the manager told me he WOULD use a piece of cracked marble in his house. They plan on reselling it- so beware. They weren't apologetic and did not offer any helpful ideas or solutions to make it right. I then drove to Fullerton because the website claimed that store had 10. They had none. Zip. Zero. Zilch. I wanted to like floor and decor, but if you've got a problem- they won't solve it. read more

I placed an order online yesterday around 5pm for some tile. I am remodeling a bathroom in my home so the order was on the bigger side. The pick up area for all orders is on the back side of the building under a white tent. You simply give your last name, show ID and tell them what parking space # your vehicle is parked in. I placed on online order 2 days ago on a item with limited quantity left in stock. Placing the order, I thought, would ensure I got 2 of the remaining 3 in inventory. After placing the order online, which was promised for the next day, I got a confirmation which instructed me to wait for the store to confirm the order was ready for pickup. A whole day passes -- nothing. I started calling the store (5x that day) and no one ever picked up the phones. The next day I decide to go in and try pick up the items as I needed them for my contractor that day. That's when things got bad. I went to the pickup counter hoping they'd have my item and I'd be on my way. The associate told me that the order wasn't ready and they'd check the floor for the items. I'd already checked, and grabbed the one remaining piece in inventory which I showed them. There were no more. Someone had purchased the other 2 in the time in which they did not fulfill my order and I am now without an option to purchase the item I needed. Instead of being helpful or apologetic the associate told me that they're behind on all their online orders (showing 65 unfilled orders) as if that's supposed to make me feel better. The whole reason for allowing an order to be placed -- based on available inventory -- is to make sure the item will be there when the customer arrives. Instead of trying to help me solve the problem (checking inventory at other stores, suggesting other products or ways to address my need) the associate simply ignored me standing at the counter and started working on something else. I then asked if he was looking into how to complete my order and he disregarded me again saying he was working on another order. Fulfilling online orders should not and can not take 2 days to confirm inventory. This, and the unanswered phone calls are unacceptable business practices in this day and age. I understand things go wrong and are out of the associate's control but what he can control is his attitude and demeanor. Apologize on behalf of the company. Suggest solutions and how to help. Be a human being. I have already returned some of the items I've purchased from F&D and will not be shopping here again. read more

Great Help and supportive staff. Both my wife and I went to Norco location on a Sunday afternoon 7/21/2019 trying to get ideas on laminate flooring and Countertop. We were met with Elmar or (Elman) WHO WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL and gave us ideas on how to DIY. We ended up purchasing the Countertop and Laminate flooring and applied for store Credit Card also which was approved on the spot and we were able to use it right away without the actual card itself.
