Oh man, do I hate leaving negative reviews - but I do it so future Yelpers will know not to use Floor & Decor's online services! We shopped for our tiles online for our bathroom renovation, and it notified us that we could "pick it up today or tomorrow" when we placed the order. My husband drove all the way to the store, only to have someone tell him, "I have no idea if we have this item in our inventory!" The store associate then sent my husband home to call their customer service on the phone. My husband spent an hour + with the customer service associate just find out that half of our order is at the store he was just at and the other half "might be in California or Texas." We were so frustrated with them we literally asked them to name some other businesses that also carry tiles (of course they said, "we legally can't tell you.") That night we finally drove back to the store to pick up half of our order, cancelled the other half of the order that probably "don't exist," and just compromised it with whatever we could find in the store. This was such an unpleasant experience we are likely to research some other competitors next time we need tiles and flooring. I recommend you going straight into stores and just shop there instead of trying to be efficient and going online - you'll probably get no where!! read more

Awesome from start to finish! Worked with Terry to help pick out tile and grout for 4 bathrooms. I showed up to pick up my tile on my own (not realizing how heavy everything was) and David, the Sales Manager saw me struggling and put everything on the cart and into my car. Thank you! Thank you! Had a wonderful experience. I went in for the first time ever in early August, I was completely overwhelmed. Lucky for me Will Paaselle was working that day! He came up to me and asked if I needed help, he spent the next 30-40 minutes walking through the floor isles explaining everything to me, and really simplifying the whole thing. I came back a week later to purchase the floors, he was there again with a friendly face, helped me again and helped me load the car. Overall, a great experience especially because of Will. I went to Floor and Decor at recommendation from my general contractor. I think the store is okay for someone that walks in knowing exactly what they want as there were only maybe 4 staff members. I needed an accessible staff member that I'd be able to briefly consult. Since they fell short, I can only give two stars. I was in the store for 45 minutes without any inquiry of providing assistance and when I asked a member if he was busy, he rushed past me and said yes, I'm all over the place. I'm a pretty quick decision maker and I had a general idea of what I want. I walked in excited to finalize details on flooring, backsplash, and granite and walked out discouraged. read more

We are renovating a bathroom as well a bedroom wall with a fireplace. We were helped by Rene the other day and Jesse this evening. Both are Associates and neither are designers. However when we showed each what we are trying match, they immediately took us to the perfect solution for our needs. Staff definitely knows their product. Also, return policy is far more customer service based than the tile specialty stores that either do not accept returns or have very high restocking fees. I am so disappointed with this store. The only helpful person in there was the young man that help get the shopping cart unstuck so I could use it. I was looking for flooring and needed some help since I was not sure about all the features. The first employee I asked acted like it was such an imposition to answer any questions with just giving me short answers and not offering to guide or help me. I made a selection and loaded my cart and then ask another employee about underlayment. Once again it was like it was an imposition to answer and heaven forbid I had another question about a threshold. Made my way to checkout and this young lady never said hello or hardly made eye contact at all. I am a older lady and I walk with a cane. My cane was in the cart which she had to notice. You would of thought she would have ask if I needed help loading or would have suggested I pull to the front and someone would load my items in my car. No nothing not even a thank you or have a nice day. What is with poor service these days? Word of mouth is free advertisement. Next time my friends are talking about stores this one is going to get a very poor score. Too many other stores out there that want your business and will act like they appreciate it. read more

Well I bought $7000 worth of wood floor with $2000 worth of "special glue" that Glen Thompson said would work on concrete floor. All my wood cupped and when I tried for you guys to correct, which took several months though customer care which is another joke, you turned you back. Just wanted to take a minute to thank Terry Micheli, Design Dept., for her help last night. We didn't have an appt and she helped us pick out tile (marble and porcelain) and stone for our master bath renovation. She was very take charge but extremely personable. She immediately got my vision for the bathroom and made helpful suggestions. We were able to quickly knock it out. There are so many options there but we were able to narrow it down with Terry's help. My husband and I saved over $800 buying our tile/grout/etc. from Floor & Décor. We had a quote from a tile installer who used a designer that was much higher with all porcelain tile. We were able to get marble tile for the shower and porcelain for the floor for a better price (marble is more expensive). I highly recommend Terry and Floor & Décor Roswell. She was especially helpful with small details like grout colors and trim options. The store is also very organized (better than the Kennesaw location) and others working there were helpful in gathering up boxes of tile to help us check out quicker. read more

I live in Asheville, NC and I am redoing a master bath. When my daughter who lives in Atlanta saw what I selected in NC and how much I was paying, she said" Mom, come to Floor and Decor in Alpharetta". They had helped her redo her bath! It was worth the drive. Ewing helped me pick out samples of everything, wrote down all the SKU numbers, patiently explained what I would need. A tile installer overheard our conversation and helped as well, as he had used a tile I was considering for the floor. The check out girl was patient with the process of going through all the samples. Now I will recommend this helpful place to everyone. Definitely worth the drive. The wife and I went into the store on Sunday mid afternoon. We spent an hour picking out floor tile, wall tile and counter tops for two bathrooms we are redoing. Then we went down to the supplies and I had questions. We searched the area for anyone that could help to no avail. So we went all the way back to the design center. There was an older gentlemen at one of the desk and he tried (via radio) to get us help, to no avail. He said he needed to finish with the customer he was with and would then help. So he wandered off. 20 minutes later my wife went to a cashier asking to get us help, to no avail. We waited 20 more minutes for the guy to come back but my temper couldn't wait any longer. I stopped back off at the register and told the girl to let the manager know I would be contacting the corporate office today to complain. I found the number and have called. The message on the machine says 1 for customer service. I have tried several times to get threw (guess what) to no avail. If it is this hard to get them to take your money what do you think it will be like to get something you really need. We have record unemployment right now and they can't seem to pay anyone to work. Even thou the other box stores have a smaller selection at least they try. Floor & Decor getting my money TO NO AVAIL. read more

Extremely poor service. Every time I've been I am never asked if I need help and have blatantly been avoided on more than one occasion. The checkout line is always a 30+ min wait. The line is 10 people deep, only one cashier with no call for help and employees idly standing around. If you value your time, shop somewhere else. read more

Recently purchased tile and flooring for second bathroom remodel from them. Huge selection and purchases are stored on their system by tele# making returns easy. Staff we encountered has been helpful and was either able to answer our questions or found someone that could. In our two most recent visits we received great service from both Nicole and Tosha. Ridiculous! After being told in Kennesaw that they did not have all the granite that was ordered after calling and saying it was ready , sending me to Roswell and they called and said it was ready for pick up, I called ahead drove all the way over just to find out they have only three of the four ordered, being as I want all from the same stock now I have to drive all the way over off of I85 to fill my order. I was sent to this store from the one in Kennesaw to find matching bull nose pieces for tile I had purchased in Kennesaw. Unfortunately, the exact match is no longer available, so I was going with the next-closest match. Kennesaw store did not have enough. The associate in Kennesaw had mistakenly (accidents happen) told me the tile I wanted was available (in the correct quantity) at the Roswell store. When I arrived I could not find it anywhere. Bill Hoag in Pro Services saw me wandering, looking lost, and approached me to help me out (even though I am obviously NOT a pro). He researched and found the tile in McDonough, then went out of his way to get it to me, on time for my tiler to complete the job. Personalized service is so hard to find in these massive warehouse stores, usually, so this was a great experience. I will be returning when we start on the kitchen! read more

We bought $3000 worth "white" porcelain tiles from this store and after they were installed, half of our floors were white and the other half were shades of grey. When we went back to the store, the store as well someone in the claim escalations department within the company said that it was solely our fault and that there is nothing they can do for us. We ended up digging out the grey tiles (about half of the ordered tiles), when we went back to this store to pick up more white tiles, they said they didn't have anymore and all that was left was grey tiles. We ended up going to off the other 4 stores in Atlanta area and only found a few boxes of the white ones. After calling customer service and waiting over an hour on the phone, they located additional tiles in FL and wanted us to pay for having them shipped to the Roswell store. The following morning we got a call from the Roswell store saying that our tiles were ready to be picked up. We just found out that they had the white tiles the entire time but were too LAZY to look in their inventory. I guess they looked once they figured out that they would have to pay for the shipping. WE WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY OR THIS STORE. read more

I live in Midtown Atlanta, but decided to go to the Roswell store based on showroom size and the Yelp reviews. Best decision. I was only there 5 minutes when Caleb asked if I needed help. I showed him my list, he took my cart and walked me around the store and grabbed everything I needed - except for the decorative tile, which I needed more time to think about. I told him I had a bad back and was willing to pay someone to take the products to my car. He wouldn't accept any money, and did all of the work. He lifted about 200 sq ft of tile, grout, trim, etc - everything I needed. I couldn't believe it. A true mensch. After Caleb loaded up my car, I came back in for the small amount of decorative tile I needed for my shower. Once again, after only 5 minutes, a nice young trainee named Aderya asked if I needed help. I told her what I needed, and what I had just bought that was now inside my car. She grabbed a buggy, gathered up one sample from all of the tiles I had just purchased, and help me design a beautiful shower. I hope this company realizes what they have with Caleb and Aderya. These two individuals took so much weight off of me (literally and figuratively). I cannot thank them enough. read more

Do not buy product from Floor & Decor. Purchased timber click product; was never told product needed finishing, nothing in the information states this. Had floor installed ourselves; discovered that the floor stains permanently from even minor water drops. Response from the store was to call their installer -- did that; they won't finish if they didn't do the install -- and to call manufacturer--did that, completely dead line; told never had any problems -- I have since looked up on web and, unfortunately for us, now see bad reviews of this product. Haven't been able to find any 3rd party flooring professional who knows what this is or how to finish it -- have gone to 4 highly recommended pros. Each of them states that they have discovered faulty product in their experience with Floor&Decor and would never send customers there. Now we are having to postpone indefinitely our move into our house because of an inferior flooring product. Last information from Floor&Decor was that they would get back to us "Give us some time" with someone to talk to at corporate. Don't be fooled. read more

Their in-store prices are good, and if you can find what you want in stock, great, But special orders? Forget it! I found their selection of natural stone kitchen countertops limited, and I wanted to see full slabs. Their design person referred me to their slab yard, where I saw what I wanted. The slab yard sent me back to Floor & Décor for pricing & installation. That's when the problems began. Their phone system is a nightmare. After the mechanical voice gives you the spiel about hours and location, you can start pressing numbers for the various departments and hear the phone just ring & ring. The design person's business card shows a phone extension, but entering it got me nowhere. The system doesn't recognize it, nor does it recognize "0". There is no operator. Eventually I did reach the design person, who said she would have to get back to me with a price for my job. That was weeks ago, and I've heard nothing since. I'm taking my business elsewhere. read more

Very pleased with the flooring we got from Floor & Decor but very displeased with the service at the loading area. The sales staff was great and we were happy with the referral to Vic of Grand Improvements as our installer. We purchased the flooring and accessories on two separate days but emphasized that they needed to be stored together so that they could be picked up by the installers all together. Not only did that not happen but the person at the loading area actually told the installers that we had refused to buy the quarter round needed for the install. Why would he say that? That's crazy. All he had to do was look on the computer and find our order (both orders had the same number) and he could see that we bought all we needed. So the installers went back the next day to pick up the remainder of the order and had to wait 90 minutes and then were told that the extra boxes of flooring were not in stock. Why would they sell it to us if they didn't have it? Or why didn't they pull it the day we bought it and put it with our previous order? When I called, I was told that we had received our entire order and I had to insist that we had not received part of the order. Floor & Decor, you have a definite problem in your system that is ruining your reputation. I recommend that you fix it soon. read more

Finally, we got great deals and someone who was able to help us, and approached us, not us running around and waiting and waiting for help. JOSH helped us load our tile on the cart, and said for them to page him and he would help load it in our car for us. Someone was called to help customer at front check out (Us) and no one came. One young guy walked past us and went outside to his car, came back 10 min. later, right by us. Then another young guy walked around the check out and disappeared too. Then my husband went looking for someone, and JOSH came by and asked if we needed help. Again it was him again that helped us and with no worries and pleasant, Just wish they were all like him and trained properly, or retrained. We even asked at the back if they had floor drain extenders, the same guy that walked out to his car later, just looked at us stupidly, and didn't offer to look it up or ask anything more, just shook his head dazed, We spent 700 dollars there in two days, wish the staff were better trained and helpful and knowledgeable . Floor and Décor does not sell good quality hardwood. My husband and I purchased 800 square feet of Malaccan cherry hardwood in November. We had 3 contractors come out to give us an estimate for installation and 2 of them warned us that the wood wasn't good quality flooring. The 3rd contractor told us that the wood was soft. We loved the wood and decided that we wanted to purchase it and have it installed. We paid $3,200.00 for the Malaccan cherry hardwood and $2,000.00 to install. This wood is very soft. Walking on it with heals put dents in the floor, the dog walking put scratches on the floor. We rolled our luggage wheels on the floor and there are marks on the floor. I called floor and décor and was told that there was nothing that they could do about the flooring because the warranty does not cover marks, scratches, heel marks and etc. We should have listened to the 2 flooring contractors that told us the Malaccan cherry wood was not of good quality. We have brand new hardwood flooring that is crap and we are stuck with it and floor and décor doesn't care because they have our money.
