The staff is really friendly. They answered every question I had and helped me pick out everything I needed to do it myself for the tile. 10/10 will come back again. The price of the backsplash was also 1/3 the price of what we would have payed for literally the same looking tile at our local "big box" store. Our experiences here were wonderful! Janie seemed to quickly understand the look we are working toward (with no judgement on our color choices). She knows the store and inventory well, showing us products in a range of prices. She was able to quickly show us half a dozen possibilities after looking at our color scheme and listening to our description of the room. Janie was also knowledgeable about the "other items needed" for the project but was also comfortable asking a specialist to explain one question. Total lack of customer service.... Stood around in front of the tiles we wanted and asked every associate that walked by us for assistance. Was told they'd find someone. Was finally told by a forklift driver to take the SKU numbers to the front cashiers. Photo'ed them and then stood in line for a cashier.... Two lanes open on "Grand Opening".... She asked if we had verified with anyone tiles were in stock.... Uh, no! Couldn't get anyone to help us! That's why we're in line at the cashier with SKU numbers.... Rang up, paid, and sent to the back with receipt for pick up. Guy at the counter acted like he was doing me a favor.... Now sitting outside waiting again.... Just asked if we were getting a granite slab... No, $500 of slate. What was the purpose of assigning us a # if you're just going to holler out in the parking lot for who ordered what... Unbelievable... #'s 1-6 sitting out here waiting now fit at least 15 minutes w/o any delivery action.... Will stick with Home Depot next time! Update: Been an hour since when checked out... We just bought tile for 6 bathrooms at the Floor Decor in San Antonio. We set an appointment with one of their designers for 4:00 on Friday. Adriana was so helpful. We picked all of the shower and floor tile. She was great with ideas and her opinion and kept our budget in mind. We could Only take half of the tile with us (we will go back for the other half) but she stayed with us until we picked out, purchased and loaded everything, it was after 7. We were so impressed and so thankful for her help. The store was clean and provided many options. We are so glad that we made the 3 hour trip to San Antonio! read more

Came back after a yr of starting my floor to finish what's left. I went to the new fancy store and they had a pretty good crowd. I couldn't remember the floor I got, lucky for me they had what I got in their computer. They told me to hold on until someone came to help me. Justin to the rescue, he helped load the boards then took them to my car, a very good employee. Found out he has been there a few months, but he has customer service down. I'm like a kid in a candy store here!! Amazing selection of gorgeous tile, wood flooring etc. if you can't find it here then I don't know where you'd go. Don't waste your time at the big box hardware stores-go straight to F&D. Ask a designer to help you with your project and they are fantastic. New location, very nice and convenient. I've been there 5 times in only a few days searching for tile and mosaics. The best customer service was from Daryl. So welcoming and willing to help in any way he could. He's got a great sense of humor and made the daunting task actually fun. I was lucky enough to get his assistance 4 of the 5 visits. Have to say the customer service was not as good without him there. The designer that I asked help from had very little input and seemed to hate her job. But this store has great prices. I love their selection of tile! Unfortunately they wanted to charge $100 for shipping of 1 box of tiles I needed to complete a flooring project which had just been discontinued(I already had 2 boxes at home). In addition I ordered a different item for pickup and didn't realize the pickup order counter closed at 7 since the website says the store closes at 9. I arrived at 7:05pm after driving 20 min and the warehouse employees refused to help me get the SIX 1'x1' tiles I ordered! However, a store manager by the name of Carlos and an associate whose name I did not catch turned this review from a 3 to a 5. F&D helped me secure additional tile in SA and even price matched all of my purchase(s) when I found the exact product from another seller for a better price. Selection is good, but quality is questionable. I bought 3 boxes of tiles and a few extras for a kitchen backsplash and ended up with 3 different colors and All tiles had the same sku number. I didn't see it until after it was installed. It was very disappointing. I won't buy anything from them again. If you do, check your tiles for color variations, broken tiles. Make sure tiles are from the same color lot. Checkout is slow. read more

Shopping made easy.... floor attendant, Darryl, helped from the get-go. Assisted in loading the cart, taking the cart to register and then taking it out and loading it for us. We went in with product in mind, ready to just load up & go. Entire process, trip/visit, was less than 20 minutes and painless (with the exception on the pocketbook - Ouch!) Ran into (only) one problem, cashier could not pull us up, as previous customer, in their system. Couldn't honor the interest free promotion due to this error. read more

Went to their website and looked at tile. Found one tile I really liked, so headed to their store on Loop 410 to look at it. Could not seem to find the right tile. The 3rd associate we asked (the first 2 having scurried off and never returned) pulled up the SKU we furnished on his reader and told me the tile I wanted was in Dallas. I asked about getting it to San Antonio and he went into a spiel about it would be at least $100 for the truck, plus mileage and weight and that it really wouldn't be worth it. No one could give me an estimate to get the tile down here. Finally I just left. Piss poor service. read more

I placed my order on July 7th online and it said everything was in stock and to wait a couple day's for an email to pick up my order and not to come in to the store. I had not heard from them by the weekend so I went in person and they said they only had a partial order. Waited about 2 hours for them to bring it out and then i asked for a statement stating what I had picked up and what I still need to pick up. They said, no we will email you with that. I wouldn't leave until they printed that out or gave me something. They then said their machine was broken. I told them then they can write it on paper with a pen for me. They told me they would call me when my remaining order had arrived. It's now July 24th and no email or call has been sent. They never answer their phone no matter which option you choose. I've also called the corporate number and no answer there as well. My home project that i could've completed in a day is now delayed a month so far. SHOP ONLINE AT YOUR OWN RISK. PS. The workers are nice and I have nothing bad to say about them. They are very hard working but I think they are severely understaffed. read more

Great store with fabulous selection...BUT the best thing about this store is Daryl who waited on us on the floor. He was a life saver as we were looking for tile & trim for several baths. He does not point you in the direction & then run to another customer....he stays with you & you have his undivided attention. We told him what we had in mind, he took us to it & could answer any question we had. He also has a good eye & was super helpful with design ideas. Why this guy is not in charge of the whole store is surprising to us. So friendly, helpful & he actually made the experience fun. I recently bought a fairly large amount of tile from here for a bathroom remodel. They had a great selection. And they had great prices. After my tile guys picked it up, they had about 4 boxes where the tiles were broken. I understand that tile can break and they exchanged the tile for me with no problems. Also the nicest ladies helped me out. Sable helped me the first time and Gina helped me out today. They were both very kind. I would definitely recommend Floor and decor. read more

My husband and I went to the store yesterday to buy splashback tile, it was our first time in the store and we had a list of items we needed provided by our handyman, we both were in the middle of an isle trying to find the tile we were looking for when this nice girl showed up, her name was Leslie, she asked us if we needed help and offered to help us find eveything in our list, she went to grab a cart and asked us to keep looking for other items while she brought the tile, she later found us and helped us trough the entire time, I have worked as a Customer service manager for over 10 years in a big corporation, I now manage the Quality team, I wish i could have more employees like her, she has a very strong customer service drive, she is professional, very nice, helpful and even funny, after getting all the materials she pushd the car to the cashier, opened the register and cashed us out, then she offered to take our products to our truck. This was the best customer service experience we ever had from beginning to end, I would like to add that my husband had a terrible motorcycle accident 4 years ago and he is limping and using a cane, so we appreciate everytime we see somebody going above and beyond to help us. This was by FAR.... the best experience I have had at any home improvement center. I went in for a small project need (outside tile for a small patio) and was helped by a guy named Darryl. This guy had an attitude of EXCELLENCE about him. He saw me confused in an aisle, trying to figure out everything I needed and asked me if he could help me. Most other places I've been to, the workers would keep walking until you stop them, but not this guy. Darryl grabbed my cart and walked me around the store and personally assisted me with everything I would need. Again, I was SHOCKED by his spirit of EXCELLENCE, as he pushed my cart all the way until I reached my car. We need more service and people like this guy. Do not buy online,, needed to send my son to pick up same address even had my id and card payed with ,, they would Not let the order be picked up. I asked for a refunf--would take 2 weeks to credit me back. Thbey took my money quick but you have to wait very long periods to get refunded. Go into store avoid online with this company..Everyone was rude and just passed my call on to the next person.. Pathetic. I had chalked up a bad experience with an Austin location to an isolated problem, but now realize this company has more widespread customer service issues, particularly with pickup. There is no apparent communication front to back. Their website may say something is in stock, but it may not be. Slow, uncaring and sometimes surly personnel in back who can't seem to pull correct products in a timely manner. Doesn't matter if it's been ordered ahead--I've waited an hour more than once. After an hour wait today (I was told they'd forgotten my order) my husband walked up to check and was chastised for doing so. He pointed out to the ignoramus who did so that their loading area does not have any posted signage at the ramp. I'd love to see OSHA pay them a visit. Managers are indifferent at best, allowing employees to work at a snails pace. Telephone customer service is even worse, if possible. Time to go somewhere else for me. read more

If you buy product, DO NOT USE anyone they recommend :( Floor and Decor did not care about how horrible their installers were. They just state it's a referral. We had bought tile, I used installers they recommended, and they were horrible! They never even finished!!! I was quoted 2 days for installation. The first day they came to install, said they would be there at 8am they did not get their until 1pm...i tried calling, no answer while I waited. Two guys then left 1 young guy.l, he demoed then sat around over 2 hours. The guys come back and said they would be back the next morning at 8am. Again, not in time! 1130 they show up, the begin installing. 3rd day, they begin at 1pm, leave at 330pm, told me don't worry, they will be done tomorrow. I'm looking at the job wondering how they will finish in 1 day when they still have tile to lay and then grout! 4 day, nothing, 5th day nothing, never hear anything back :( I contact a flooring company to complete (Which I should have done the first time but I was being cheap!!) S.A. Flooring Perfections came out with their Installers. They had to demo the initial areas that were installed because the guys not level them properly...tjey showed me, it was bad! They finished everything in 2 days and the area looks great!!! I wish I could rate S.A. Flooring Perfections again for their help, but we can't hear :( They turned this horrible situation into a good one. read more
