Sadly, when Lanell was running the store a few years ago, this was a good.place to do business. But my last visit was so disappointing. New sales lady doesn't know her job. She quoted me $6 to install carpet. When I choked, she went to check and said oh my bad, $6 is for tile, carpet is $2.75 with a crappy underlayment. Plus over $2 for her cheapest carpet, that puts it at $5 installed minimum. No thank you... Went to another place where I found better quality carpet and pad installed for less than $4 and I even a great choice at $2.89 installed. They had a good selection of tile and the sales rep was very knowledgeable and helpful while helping us choose what we needed for our bathroom remodel. The tile took months to come in, which is understandable during a pandemic, but once it came in and our install was scheduled, it was very difficult to get in touch with our sales rep, Jason. We had left several voicemails prior to the install to confirm what we needed to do on our end to prep for the install but never heard back until after the installer was here and installing. Post-install we called a couple of times to see where the leftover tile had gone, and both times we were told that our sales rep Jason was researching for us and would call back, but we never heard from him. Eventually we sent a follow up email, and he said he didn't have the tile and wasn't sure what he could do for us, which is disappointing. We have no replacement pieces should one of our tiles get cracked. Though the subcontractor they hired to do the install for us did a good job, I will not work with this company again due to their poor customer service. read more

We finally bit the bullet and replaced the flooring in our whole house with a beautiful luxury vinyl. (PureSPC - Savannah if you care) Great price and it looks friggin fantastic! Was an absolute pleasure working with Leah and her team at the Slaughter location. She was so knowledgeable and patient with us when we visited the showroom. She was also flexible with our budget, for example, by painting the baseboards ourselves we could get to where we needed to be (she had them delivered to us, it was a fun COVID project actually, took us about half a day if you are considering it). The tile guy came one morning, and was done quickly (and cleanly!) but when he was done, 1800 square feet took them 5 days, I was so impressed. There were some spatters of the base material and one area of the baseboard where I disagreed with the route they took, but I consulted with Leah and she was equally disappointed and remedied as soon as possible. It was a quick fix we could have done, but I appreciate her stepping up. read more

Second time with flooring warehouse. Very helpful in finding the same flooring we used several years ago, so we could have a great match, as we extended the tile into an adjacent room. The tile coloring had changed a bit, I was shown samples of the new tile to see the slight differences. The quality of work with our tile installation is impressive. Had a few communication gaffs with the sale person. Not a very personable guy. But it turns out he works out of a different store. I now know I will work with someone else in the future. Ended up with a beautiful floor, that I'm proud to show off to others. I will definitely call Flooring Warehouse for any future flooring needs. read more

TL;DR poor quality flooring; selling end of life flooring without disclosure; horrible installers; poor customer service; overall bad experience. Would avoid like the plague. Replaced the floors in the whole house and went with their installers. Floor was initially installed with lippage and unlevel upstairs; stair noses were also crooked and were squeaking and coming apart 2 weeks after install. Brought a 3rd party flooring inspector who confirmed my concerns. When showing this to Ric and Jason they came over and initially agreed to replace the affected portions of the floor (a couple dozen feet in each room) but after a couple of days told me the floor I just bought isn't manufactured anymore!!! They wanted to get out the deal with just a small discount but eventually agreed to replace the whole upstairs and stairs with a different thickness of the same floor. A couple months pass and after they install the floor it turns out it's different, a different shade and different plank length. Both times the contractors scratched and messed up the walls, dents, scratches and marks everywhere. The 2nd time I wasn't told that the contractors finished and I can go back to my house. Contractors used my things without asking, 1st time taking one of my extension cords (eventually bringing it back after pointing it out). read more

We asked them to clean air ducts. Instead, they sprayed Kilz spraypaint into the air ducts, which is a KNOWN CARCINOGEN. It says right on the bottle that it is only meant for outdoor use. This ruined the apartment, and an immediate move-out was required. No warning was given ahead of time that a cancer-causing paint was going to be sprayed into the air ducts. read more

Yesterday, 4/19/2021, I had another flooring job done by these people and also had them to the same home in Dec. for another medium size job and have recommended them numerous times but I will NEVER recommend them again. I asked for a price to patch a little 3"x5" of their LVT product in a small closed where I removed some door casing & trim. Today received a quote of $250, which I find to be outrageous, regardless of the amount of money I have spent with them, not to mention my referrals. Over the last several years, the flooring warehouse folks have visited numerous times to clean our carpets and upholstery. It's seriously the best thing ever. Now I have the wood floor without the hassle of working about water spills and dog scratches. I LOVE THEM. Rick was the installation manager who got me in asap, and I got my entire house done before we moved in. The installation team worked all Saturday to meet their deadline. Raphal was the installation team lead, he and his team worked so hard and they did such a fantastic job. All the corners and odd spots are done with great care. PJ was so nice and everything went great until installation. I hadn't moved in yet so there was no furniture to deal with and they didn't have to put the baseboards back since I was installing new ones. They started on a Tuesday and would finish the next day or Thursday a.m. Although Flooring Warehouse said they were done when I called on Thursday, there were two men still working on Thursday after work. On Friday evening there was still one man working and his son, about 10 years old, was there also and they were there until after 7:30 pm. The tiles were not cleaned and a man at Flooring Warehouse (not PJ) said I could clean them myself with vinegar and water. The door strips were very poorly installed an PJ said they would fix, but that was never done. In bright light some tiles have a sheen to them and some are dull. I am hoping a sealer will help since that evidently was not included. I was thrilled because the floors looked so much better than what was there, but I still have more work to do. read more

I hire them clean our carpets about once a month (we have multiple pets) and the service is fantastic...they do an incredibly thorough job and manage to remove spots I wouldn't have thought possible. The staff is so friendly and accomodating - every single carpet cleaner has been so friendly and helpful. They always ask a lot of questions about which pieces of furniture and which areas of carpet get the most wear and tear - and then they really work those areas. This is an Austin family-owned busines and has been for about 30 years so that makes me even happier to support them. I had the stairs in my house changed from carpet to laminate in 2014. The work done was really good. One of the noses came loose twice during the first year and the original installer came out immediately and fixed it. Fast foward almost three years later. That same nose came loose again. So I called Flooring Warehouse. I was told the original work was out of warranty. Given the time that had passed, it was totally understandable. But I asked if there could be any consideration given to fixing the nose since it was the same one that previously came loose. I was told the owner Rick would have to make that decision. Rick called me. I advised him that I was aware the warranty on the work had passed, but asked if any consideration could be given to fixing the nose. He didn't ask any questions and just agreed to come and fix the problem. Rick's decision to fix the nose says a lot about him as a person. With the 'customer experience' not being a focus of many businesses these days, it was nice to see it was a focus for Rick. I highly recommend him and his business for your flooring needs. read more
