When nothing else works, I take the bad business to social media. Here's the short version. Over a month ago, we purchased new flooring for our home. Floors For Living] jumped through hoops for our business. The sales rep was available and saw me within 30 minutes after my call, came to our home within 1.5 hours later to bring samples for my husband to see and choose from, got paperwork ready and scheduled our install within a week, even giving us an opportunity to get it done earlier when an availability came up. The installers were polite, neat, efficient and did a great job on our floors. The floors are beautiful. The problem is that the installer cut the carpet to the other rooms too far in (per the sales rep) so, the parts they had, didn't fit, now meaning reducers were needed. I was told on the last day of the install that he would bring the correct parts (no specific date and time). Here we are over a month later after many calls, texts visits and still no reducers. I was told, on yesterday, that the installer would come today. I've been sitting at home waiting and no one showed up. I received a call from customer service to confirm my appt for tomorrow. When the rep called the installer, he said that he's not coming today. I've been given excuse after excuse, apologies for misinformation and conflicting information. I have tripped on the entry-ways to rooms several times and we have guests coming in. It would be really unfortunate if my guests tripped and fell due to the lack of responsiveness of Floors For Living] . We're not happy with the lack of service after paying our money for our floors. I wonder how long it would have been had I not continued to complain. I spoke with Kassim (store manager), Mike Brown (sales rep) and Linsey (customer service). No one knows what anyone else is saying or doing. It's bad business. We need carpets done in other parts of our home and will not use them for this service. Stay away from FFL. . We selected FFL after researching many local companies. We decided on a beautiful porcelain "wood-look" tile and overall we are thrilled with the results. The manager/salesman Kassem was very knowledgeable, helpful, easy to deal with and not pushy which put us at ease.. We had an issue with some confusion regarding the transition selection but Kassem got us what we needed even with the time constraints. The construction process was rough because we were removing old tile and wood but was completed in almost half the time that was originally estimated which was a huge plus for us.. The installation team was professional and took very good care moving our furniture and cleaning up after themselves. Highly recommend Floors For Living. read more

We used floors for living to replace our upstairs carpet, tile floor and backsplash in the kitchen. They had a great selection to choose from and reasonable prices. The store manager, Kassim, was wonderful to work with. He explained the process, helped with selection and was incredibly responsive throughout the selection and installation process. I called & wanted someone to come out to my house with samples, as I am disabled. Talked to Kassim. Had been searching on line for carpet, pretty much knew what color I wanted & gave him an approximate measurement. He wanted exact measurements & proceeded to tell me they didn't carry green or blue carpet. I'd been looking strictly at Mohawk & Shaw, brands which he stated they carry. It would be special order, I understood that. "Call me back when you get exact measurements, I'll see what I can do." I thought one of the reasons carpet salespeople came out was to get exact measurements!! Obviously he just didn't want to be bothered doing one room. No body wants to do their job anymore. Used someone else in town & got a better deal than he was trying to sell me over the phone. read more

When initially making the large and expensive purchase Kassim was very responsive and eager to get the work done. He reassured us that the crew working on our home would be professional and things would get done in a timely manner. His crew tiled my home with scratched and chipped tile, the carpet guy broke one of the new tiles, they took my personal towels and used them as rags, broke my ceiling fan, did a trashy job on the fireplace stone, unclean and unprofessional. Leaving their leftover trash from lunch including mango peels in a lived home! However, once the unprofessional and incomplete work done by an incompetent crew was done, Kassim then became very vague with short answers in regards to follow up , recourse, and escalating the matter to the regional manager Jeff. Initially, Kassim stated "make sure you call me before you call my boss Jeff, I'll handle any issues you have". VERY UNTRUE! I found Jeff's number myself, called him and he assured this unprofessional work is not what they represent and an inspector would be out first thing Monday morning to asses the work that needed to be re-done. He was very short on the phone, seemingly too busy to hear any complaints. Monday morning no one showed up so we called Jeff's office. His assistant stated he is not available, and 15 minutes later the inspector calls with a poor excuse as to why she isn't at our home. I met with salesman in the showroom on Peek road we agreed on tile to match existing hardwood and glass tile for transitions, he quoted a price and I put down 50 percent deposit he then came and measured areas and scheduled install. One week later I received a voice mail from manager, Jeff, to come into store not telling me why. I went to the store next morning at 10:15 and the store was not open... called Jeff waited for him to find someone to open the store but no one ever came. He called back and said can you come back tomorrow and meet me at 10. I agreed and the next day went back no Jeff, he finally arrives and states the salesman I had and states the salesman I had been working with left and he would not honor my contract. He first said the tile was no longer available but then said he could not honor the price or "I would get fired" he finally called the vendor and stated that they did have the tile I wanted but he could not honor the price I was given.. I am standing this whole time while he is sitting at a desk. I disagreed with him and he basically said he didn't care I could leave. Finally I had to give him 10% more than I had agreed to get the work done or start all over with another store. I now realize that would have been the wise choice but my work time is precious. I was treated with total disrespect for my time and the contract I had with the store. Jeff said the job would take 4 days so I planned accordingly. Installers arrive 3 weeks later and state they can not install the tile as agreed using the mosaic transition and that the job will only take 2 days. The installers did not speak English so there was no way to communicate issues. They left the bathroom they were using in a nasty mess. My hardwood had grout and thinset spilled on it. When they finished the job they handed me a CYA paper that I was to sign saying everything was great I wrote no on quality and clean up and out the door they went. read more
