Sub par installation by installers. Terrible experience with their manager, Marty. He kept making different excuses for why they did the job the way they did. One minute he said one thing, the next minute it was something else. Justified sloppy work by telling us it was "just a rental". It's still our property. Being a rental doesn't mean we want poorer workmanship. Not interested in what the customer wants, just what he thinks he knows is best. Made the mistake of giving a credit card for deposit, which was charged in full immediately after job was completed, before we even had a chance to inspect it. Won't be using them again. I would give 0 stars if I could. The engineered hardwood they sold me had many more and darker knots and other marks than were on the sample board in the store, which looked much cleaner. I learned too late that the distributor's instructions said they were to review the floor sample against the delivered flooring with me prior to installation to assure it met my expectations. Instead, they just went ahead and started installing. When I saw how bad the front of my house looked and told JJ my concerns, he said I owned the flooring and all he would do was pull the installers and leave me with 2/3 of my house un-done. So I went through the remaining boxes myself and found only enough somewhat clean boards (still different colors) for my small kitchen. The rest of the house looks awful. I have to find another contractor to remove F2Go's product and install better quality flooring. read more

I had a great experience with JJ (Customer Service) and Mike (the owner). I was greeted by JJ and he was very helpful from the moment my daughter and I walked into the showroom. I explained that I called over the weekend, and to my surprise he remembered me calling. Which was nice because he remembered exactly what I was looking for. He then led us to the back area where they have a VERY large amount of remnant carpets to choose from. Great variety, colors, patterns and prices. If I could give this company a 0 star review, I would. I purchased product from them and every time I spoke with them over the phone they were rude. They complained about shipping charges and then charged me for shipping. Why complain about it if you're going to charge me for shipping anyways?? They promised my flooring would be in and I had to keep calling for updates. Had I not called, I'd have no idea when it would be there. Then they promised it would finally be in on a specific date and then called me later telling me my product was there (late). They charged my credit card and will not refund me. read more

My wife and I had been getting some of the worst service until we took our friends advice, and went to see Grant at Floors To Go. He was happy to take the time to go through different materials, what to expect with a renovation (doing it ourselves) and helped out with advice for some challenging areas. Dirty, Messy, Amateur - unethical business practices. **DO NOT USE**. I got these guys to install hardware floors for me. In fairness, the floor job they did is OK - I'm not totally thrilled with it, but it is OK. My main issue is with the job they did removing and putting the baseboards back on, the scuffing and marking and other damage they made to the baseboards, and especially on the walls, damaging the door frames, and worse than amateur attempts at touching up the mess they left. They did not show up when they said they would. They did not treat my property with respect, damaging the baseboards and my furniture. They asked for a check for the balance due after the job. When I saw the damage they made and appalling job they did at replacing the baseboards, I told them I would withhold $500 until they repair the 40+ cases of damage (a few example pictures posted), scuffing, scratching they made, and would pay them the balance when they made it right, or offered to give them a check to settle the account, less $500 to offset the cost to me of the 40+ repair instances required. They charged my credit card I used for the deposit WITHOUT my consent or authorization. There was no apology for the damage they caused, no request to charge my card for ANY additional amount beyond the initial deposit. If you are thinking about using these guys - DON'T. They seem great at first, but they don't show up when they say they will, they and they do a below average job, and you have to chase them to fix little things (like putting filler in some of the joins to hide the otherwise obvious ugly lines/gap between the wood flooring boards/pieces). Bill was my sales guy, and Pedro and his crew were the ones who did the work ... and the damage. I echo the comments from Anne G in Milpitas who also gave a 1 star review and said ... A friend recommended Floors to go for installing new floors and I am incredibly happy with the outcome! I worked with Grant who is very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and responsive. I told him I wanted to replace my carpet with a durable flooring option. He came to my house with a handful of options - laminate and vinyl, in the color scheme I was looking for. He measured the house one evening and I had a quote the next morning! Hector and his crew installed the vinyl flooring and baseboard and did an incredible job. Hector was a pleasure to work with. He and his crew were friendly, honest, and professional. He suggested creative solutions for some challenging spots (for example, I have a 1 inch step from the hall to the bathroom and he created a clean, slick transition). The whole installation took only 2.5 days! This included removing carpet, laminate and linoleum, leveling my concrete subfloor, installing the pad and floors, and installing baseboards. I concur with John K. Bill from Floors to Go came to my house to measure the area. I gave him a sample of the hall carpet we needed to match. The bedroom had already been painted to coordinate with that carpet. I signed the contract without a color listed because I figured that he would give me the right color. Well that was stupid on my part. I should have insisted on seeing a color to make sure it matched. The carpet cost over $4000. I was out of the house when they came to install the carpet, but my building contractor was here and told them that the carpet didn't match. The installers called the office and someone told them to install it anyway. The contractor also told them not to put the seam along the top of a break in the subfloor, but they did it anyway. So what we ended up with was a horribly mismatched carpet with a prominent seam through the middle of the room. I called Bill and he referred me to Mike Rorie, the owner. Mike said he'd have to come out and take a look. At first he said he might be able to get the replacement carpet for free, but then he told me it would cost him $3000. He told me I'd have to pay half the price ($1500) to get the right color installed. He showed me the order that I had signed and in a different color ink it showed the carpet color. I told him that the color was added after I signed the order, but he denied it. I paid it only because I need the carpet and didn't want to have to go through small claims court. but I am going to take this up with my credit card company. The second installation is the right color and the installer changed the direction of the carpet, giving us no visible seams. But at what cost? $5800 for what should have cost no more than $4300. Mike Rorie is a rude, obnoxious, aggressive bully. He will ask you a question and then talk over the top of whatever you are trying to say. I will never do business with this company again and suggest that you consider that when looking for flooring. UPDATE NOTE: This business has changed their name, probably to disguise the fact they are the same company that has gotten such bad reviews. read more

This is an update as the previous review was attached to "Floors to go" old store. I'll start from the end - I highly recommend these guys. We used "Floors To Go" for our flooring needs twice. We installed new floors in the entire bottom floor of our house, two years apart, and had one large room refinished and stained. Both times the service, product and price were OUTSTANDING. When we started our search for the new floor, we had no idea what we wanted. Mike, the manager is very knowledgeable and accommodating. He was very helpful in explaining the differences between the different products, helping us reach a decision, which we're very happy with. We got a great price quote for the engineered floor and work, compared to two other places. When installation time came, and we needed a last minute change, Mike was very understanding and rescheduled a new time for us. The installation was smooth, high quality and pleasant. Miguel, the guy who installed our floor did an amazing job bringing the edges to the tile level, smoothly leveling the hight gap. As for the staining... Maybe I'm over sensitive, but two years later and the smell is still there although we picked the product with less odor among the options. All in all, our house looks so much nicer and high-end compared to the laminated floors we had before. We got great service and installation. Thank you Mike and Miguel. Update: recently we found that getting rid of an areal carpet is a big pain in the b...t, especially if you live in Sunnyvale. They'll make you cut the rug in squares or roll it into a specific size that is just impossible. Contacted "Floors To Go" and they immediately said, "just bring it to our store and we'll dump it for you!!!" What a service... it wasn't even their carpet. read more

Buy your carpet somewhere else. Bill is very friendly, which is key for being a good sales person. Problem is... just being friendly doesn't keep the customer satisfied after the sale if there are problems. I work in Campbell, and I know a lot of people there. I don't know why a business like this doesn't just do things correct the first time. Floors to Go installer did a horrible job. I was home during the installation, so I observed this guy taking short cuts. I had him correct the ones I saw at that time. In short, I had them come back two times... and the problems still exist. Bill came out to measure and land the sale, but never came back to my place after the sale to make sure everything was done properly. EVEN AFTER TWO PHONE CALLS REPORTING PROBLEMS! The pad that they literally crumbled to dust under the new carpet. The seams look horrible, and the stretching is coming off the tack strip all over. Everything I pointed out to Bill and the installer was quickly explained away. Rather than just making things right, I was given excuses. Take your business to a legit flooring place. Grant was wonderful to work with - quick to come out and give an estimate; a great communicator throughout the project; and efficient with scheduling his crew. They removed carpet, tile and old hardwood (that had linoleum underneath) and installed beautiful engineered wood floors and new baseboards. I purchased laminate flooring and had the unfortunate experience where the installed floor did not match the manufacturer's sample in the showroom and as shown on the manufacturer's website. The product which was installed was a visibly blacker floor than portrayed in the sample and website. Since this was a dispute with the manufacturer, Mike did not have to be involved or offer a solution. However, he was understanding and did his best to work out a peaceful resolution. The end result is that I am a happy customer and would recommend this business to anyone who wants the peace of mind that if something should go wrong, you can count on Mike to resolve the issue. read more

I could live with that but now two years later I'm trying to have a simple repair done and after 5 calls with no response I finally got an appointment set only for them not to show up. If any of you are thinking about putting in new flooring or carpeting, DO NOT use the Floors To Go in downtown Campbell on 116 Railway Ave! My wife and I purchased carpeting from Floors To Go and arranged to have them install it in mid January. In a corner of one of the bedrooms, the concrete sub floor was shattered (I think they destroyed it when they were removing the old carpeting) and instead of using longer nails or screws to lay the tack strip down correctly against the wall, the installers put the strip down about 4 inches away from the wall leaving a large gap. To make matters worse, they cut the carpet crooked in that corner and stuffed the carpet sliver in the gap instead of seaming it together. I called the president of the company, Mike Rorie, to have it fixed immediately and arranged to leave work early the next day and meet the installer at 4pm. I waited until 4:45pm until I called Mike to see where his installer was. He had a vague idea who I was and told me he forgot about the appointment because he was "too busy". I rescheduled to have his installer meet me the following morning at 7:30am to fix the carpet all the while he's telling me that he wants to "work with me" to have the carpet fixed. The installers met me, on time, the next morning and admitted to me that they did not have the correct length nails/screws for the initial installation. They even had the gall to ask me if I had longer nails or screws for them to use for the fix! They pounded new tack strips down into the concrete (at 7:30 in the morning!) and were going to stretch the carpet to fit before I told them that I wanted them to seam it instead. After rolling their eyes they seamed the carpet and left. When I called Mike later that day about the service he was very short and rude to me and basically cut me off and asked me what I wanted. I asked him about some sort of compensation or partial reimbursement for my time since they completely forgot about the first appointment and the lousy service I received. This was his response as he cut me short: "Absolutely not. I am not going to refund you for an hours worth of work. You need to get over it and move on with your life. People run red lights and cut people off every day and they get over it and so should you. You have a nice new house and the carpet looks good so it's time for you to move on" I asked him if that is how he wanted to handle it and he again told me to "get over it and move on" after which I immediately hung up on him. After surfing the web, I came across a couple of other poor reviews written about this particular Floors To Go. I added a few reviews of my own as well as filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Anyway, I just wanted to give everyone a friendly warning about Mike Rorie and this particular Floors To Go. Thank you for your ear and please pass this along to everyone you know who is looking to get flooring or carpets put in. I am only giving Floors To Go one star because I cannot give zero stars on this review. read more

This alone should encourage you to shop here but with their superior customer service, great product selection, competitive prices and expert installers, it's a no brainer! Grant came out an measured my kitchen and helped me select a color and style from their wide variety of luxury vinyl flooring.
