This was one of the most concerning salon experiences I've had, and I would strongly advise others to AVOID this place. During my appointment, my nail tech noticed green discoloration under my gel nail and called it "mold." Instead of stopping the service, removing the product, or taking any sanitary precautions, she filed the nail and applied new hard gel directly over it. Covering a potentially infected nail is not only irresponsible, it reflects a serious lack of basic hygiene and safety standards. I went back to address the issue and asked for the product on that nail to be removed. They refused to offer a complimentary removal and told me they would "cover up anything," even if it were an infection. That statement alone should be alarming to anyone considering this salon. They also dismissed the possibility of infection entirely and showed no concern for my nail health. To make matters worse, this wasn't an isolated issue. On multiple previous visits, I told the techs that my nails were lifting. Instead of properly addressing the cause, they repeatedly just added glue over the lifted areas and continued with the service. That kind of shortcut traps moisture and bacteria, and it very likely contributed to the situation I'm now dealing with. A salon that ignores lifting, covers over potential infections, and refuses to take accountability is not maintaining safe or sanitary practices. This goes beyond poor customer service..... it's a health risk. I will not be returning, and I would strongly recommend going somewhere that actually follows proper hygiene standards and prioritizes nail health.

I found this spot on Yelp and I am so glad I decided to stop by. There is paid underground parking garage available, and I was able to walk in without an appointment, which was super convenient. The spa itself is beautifully decorated, very cute, and has a fun, girly vibe that makes the whole experience feel relaxing and special. They were also running a promotion, with a sign right at the entrance offering additional discounts, which we always appreciate. I got a gel manicure called "Delight" for $50 and a signature pedicure with regular polish for $55. Emily did my nails, and she was fantastic. It has been two weeks now, and I am still really happy with how everything has held up. There has been no lifting or cracking at all, and I still absolutely love the color.

The salon is gorgeous, and everyone was nice, but the quality of work wasn't worth the price. The environment and atmosphere was definitely upscale, but the actual service provided was not up to par. I got a gel pedicure, and the work seemed rushed, and my toes were filed uneven. I think I would try it again just because it's very pretty and I like the water and Madeleine cookie, but if the quality wasn't there again, i wouldn't come back. I

Loved it here! First time coming and it is so pretty and clean here. It's tucked away behind the bier garden, but there's normally lots of parking. I have been going here for 7 months for hard gel and I absolutely love the result every single time! I get a new tech each time and the service is consistently great! The vibes are lovely and my nails stay healthy and beautiful! Also the front desk ladies are all wonderful and cheerful. Thank you!

ZERO STARS!! Making an appointment with this salon was difficult enough, but the real frustration came afterward. I scheduled an appointment only to find out that they were running behind and could no longer accommodate me. No one proactively communicated the delay or cancellation, despite the fact that I had arranged my schedule around the appointment. Running behind can happen, but failing to notify customers and effectively canceling their appointment at the last minute is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of respect for a client's time. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that others avoid this salon. If they cannot honor scheduled appointments or communicate when there is a problem, there is no guarantee that you will receive the service you booked. There are plenty of businesses that value their customers' time--unfortunately, this is not one of them.

I would highly recommend Flora if I were to return for pampering not for my follow up fills as visits like these are $150+ each time not including tips! staff was nice i guess but the lady who did my nails did so bad and for the price it was just crazy. she didn't do like half my nail and said there was cuticle when there wasn't she was just too lazy to redo it. i came to get my nails done for graduation and now i have to go redo them, and it's really hard to mess up regular polish so im not sure why that happened. that alone, when i spoke to someone on the phone they told me one price when i arrived i looked at the flyers up front and the prices were so much higher so i didn't get a pedicure that i had also expected to get. i shouldn't have tipped as much as i did. overall a waste of my $40 for just a regular polish! they also said there was $5 off when there was not. it's a pretty salon but they don't do a good job read more

I've gone here at least 5 times in the last year and service has declined considerably. It's extremely inconsistent in quality. My most recent pedicure I am not sure the man doing my service had ever given a pedicure before. He did zero cuticle care, scrubbed my feet for maybe 15 seconds each foot, and rushed my gel manicure so fast, paying very little attention. I sat next to my husband whose pedi with no polish took just as long as my rushed gel pedicure because his person took her time to do a nice job. When I asked if he could scrub my heels a little more he seemed annoyed and told me he already did. Lastly, his station was disgustingly dirty - he had a container with dirty tools that he filled up with nail polish remover and dipped his brush into to do "clean-up" work around my nails. All the brushes and nail files looked used and disgusting while other stations were clean and tools were wrapped in plastic. I won't be coming back. read more

I made an appointment on two separate occasions through their website and both times they called back saying that they couldn't accommodate even though the appointment time slot was available when booking. It's been a frustrating experience trying to get an appointment at this nail salon. I have been there a few other times with my 8 year old and they have never done our nails at the same time, which is an inconvenience when you are with somebody else since that means one person ends up waiting for the other, especially when it's a kid. This is not mentioned upon arrival. If you do end up actually getting your service done, they do a good job but good luck getting an appointment and getting the service done on time. read more

It felt like she wanted me to offer to pay more, but I just said it sounds like she doesn't want to do it so I can go elsewhere and she said she would prefer that. I think turning someone away in that way was unprofessional and it made me really uncomfortable that she kept telling me how much work it is. She shouldn't offer a service she isn't willing to follow through with. It was just a very uncomfortable experience.

I hate writing this because I really wanted this salon to meet and exceed my expectations. Unfortunately, it did neither, even after giving it three chances. Aesthetically, the salon is super cute and has a relaxing atmosphere, this was the main reason I was willing to give it another shot after my initial disappointment. However, today's experience confirmed I won't be returning. Long story short, I had an appointment scheduled for me and my daughter at 3:30 PM. At 2 PM, the salon called to inform me they were behind and asked if we could reschedule for 4:30 PM. While not ideal, I agreed. We arrived at 4:20, and at 4:30, the receptionist told us they were running another 20 minutes behind. Frustrated but still patient, we waited. When 20 minutes came and went, and over 30 minutes had passed, I finally asked for an update. The receptionist hesitantly asked a nail technician, who casually replied "soon," with no sense of urgency. I asked if there would even be two technicians available for both my daughter and me, and the receptionist was visibly uncomfortable asking her co workers and just said she didn't know. It became clear that one of us might get started in another 10-15 minutes (45 minutes past our appointment time), but the other likely wouldn't. This lack of coordination mirrors my previous visit, where I waited over 30 minutes past my appointment to be seen. The women doing nails showed no sense of care or obligation, this was disappointing. I would have appreciated and even accepted a glance and gesture of apology, which I did not get. They moved without urgency and seemed unconcerned about keeping us waiting. Sadly, it appears they don't value their customers' time or their business. As a fairly new salon, you would expect them to prioritize running efficiently and courteously. Even my 13-year-old daughter noticed their lack of care, remarking on how indifferent they seemed despite us being polite and patient. The final straw was realizing no genuine effort was being made to uphold the appointment time they agreed to, leaving us disappointed and unwilling to return. read more

My first impression of Flora Blanc Nail Salon was that it had a stunning and beautiful aesthetic, which created high expectations for my visit. However, my experience was unfortunately not as positive as I had hoped due to some issues with customer service from the nail technicians. While the receptionist was delightful and welcoming, my technician and my sister's technician did not seem to engage with us as we anticipated. For instance, my sister's technician unintentionally scraped her skin, and there was no follow-up or acknowledgment of that incident, which would have helped us feel more cared for. In my case, my technician appeared hesitant to perform my pedicure and even suggested switching with my sister's technician, which felt quite unprofessional. The results of my pedicure left me feeling uneven and dissatisfied. I wanted to share my concerns with the receptionist, but I hesitated since the technicians were so close by. I genuinely wish to give this salon another opportunity in the future because I believe it has potential. However, the experience did not justify the drive from South Bay. I hope that this feedback can be taken constructively and lead to improvements in customer service. Good service deserves recognition through tips, and unfortunately, we didn't feel it was warranted this time. Additionally, it would have been appreciated if my technician had ensured I was comfortable. (Unfortunately, I have to put on my own flip-flops because my technician just left them on the chair while she went on her break and didn't return. She was not very pleasant in her messages and provided rough service overall. It was clear that both she and my sister's technician didn't want to be there.) I believe that all staff members should strive to create a positive and welcoming environment, as it makes a significant difference in the customer experience. What happened to Tracy? The conversation among the techs is unprofessional. That technician should have more courtesy and class. Sorry, Flora Blanc Nail. I hope you find better technicians. read more

Flora Blanc is truly exceptional and easily my favorite nail salon in Encinitas. I'm more than willing to travel to come here because the experience is consistently excellent from start to finish. The salon itself feels calm and welcoming, and it actually smells clean and pleasant -- a detail that makes a big difference. What stands out most is the reliability of the quality. Every visit is unhurried and attentive, and my nails always look beautiful and last. There's a level of care and consistency here that's hard to find. Each time I made an appointment, I found that they consistently started at least 30 minutes late. I have been looking for a place that is detailed, clean and cares about each client. When I first came in the receptionist greeted me with a smile and was so friendly. I made an appointment for the next day. You will want to do this as they take care of each client to the fullest and an appointment is the best way to get in. They don't rush, they take their time and do such a wonderful job. I have been twice and rebooked my third appointment. I have found my new place! The atmosphere is so calming and decorated so cute!!
