This is a cute little restaurant on Main street, bright a cheery. When we have visited Dade City in the past, they were not open for dinner, so it was nice to see that they are now. Food was good. My husband had the pork schnitzel. It came with chunky potatoes and a yellow squash casserole. Prior to the entree was a huge green salad (choice was either soup or salad). I had the crab stuffed shrimp, which was ok, but I would order something different next time There used to be more of a gift shop area, from what I remember. We love this spot. This is located in downtown Dade City. There is street parking and a lot behind the buildings. This is a cool historic building. The restaurant is bright and clean. The service is always great. The muffins they bring to your table to get you started are delicious. They serve them with a butter infused with fruit that changes daily. We love the pecan crusted chicken. It is really good and always cooked perfectly. You can order the same chicken with waffles that is a great breakfast or brunch option. Their breakfast quiche and sausage biscuits are also delicious! There is plenty of cool merchandise on the other side of the restaurant. Great for souvenirs or gifts! My girlfriends & I come here every time we are in town. The service is stellar & the food is always good. When you walk in, you'll be instantly impressed with the tables & tablecloths. So classic! The decor is old Florida, and we love that. On a blackboard are the daily specials or unique items to this place. We would love to try one of their desserts, but we are always full when Wanda (fantastic person!) asks if we want dessert. My favorite meal is the chicken salad with hunks of chicken and lots of flavor. One friend likes it on a croissant, but I like it on lettuce. We both get the fruit on the side. The only fruit I can't eat are the melons. I have a reaction to them. But the rest is delicious. If you are looking for a slice of Florida heaven with your breakfast or lunch, THIS is the place to dine in Dade City!! read more

Florida Cracker Country bought & absorbed Lunch on Limoges. Over time it's looked less like Limoge and more like a country general store. The gift shop went from a wide variety of items to Yeti products and items with an upside down Florida "boot" or words about grits (aka on thank you). The desserts that beckoned under glass on the counter are now in a fridge out of sight, some of which they may be out of. Some of the old items are still on the menu that is now tipped heavily southern. It's gone from elegant & china to down-home & checkered tablecloths. Loved coming here every fall to stroll the nifty town and enjoy this place. We now have two other places we like better as "fine dining", because the ambiance has changed. The noise was loud here, the pace was frenzied (even tho only half full). That's not to say anything here is bad, thus the "OK" rating. read more

We were there way before it got busy for lunch, they waited on us right away, but it was almost one hour before our food was served, finally I was asked if I wanted my soup before my sandwich, I said yes please make sure it was hot. Soup came it was not even warm; it was replaced, my chicken salad sandwich was just ok. My husband's side dish was brussels sprouts could not eat it to hard and the dish was cold. Stopped by this cute spot for breakfast on a Sunday. It was steady but not so busy you couldn't get a table. Being that this place has been here for so many years- I couldn't get over just how clean it was!! The artwork on the walls, the light fixtures in the ceiling- no dust or dirt to be seen. The staff was very friendly and truly worked as a team! You encounter every staff member in some way ensuring you are good and don't need anything throughout your meal. The food was great- biscuits were huge and so fresh! The raspberry tea was some of the best tea I've ever had, not overly sweet- just enough flavor. They have a cute gift shop attached. read more

We sat down at our table and our waitress was really short. Just like that is the way it is. Food was just ok. Wasn't in a top 10 spot. Waitress didn't listen. To go order was made for here and not even right. Told her we needed separate checks. That didn't happen. We were told they were short on lemons so they couldn't bring us out a lot. No one ordered water. All tea. Sat here waiting for a refill for about 10 mins while no one came up to the table. If you want fast service you have to get up and get someone's attention. Also they charge credit card fees which the owner says they are necessary. Edit in response to the owner: This was my first and last time in your establishment. Never have I written a review on Yelp about your establishment and I don't appreciate your defamatory comment. I have posted my experience on all platforms. If you had a little more tact and just said sorry for your bad experience I might have considered it but after the response you made after we spent $100 at your restaurant I will take my business(and people that will listen) elsewhere. A true Florida treasure! This 100 year old restaurant is a delight of classic southern food place with the perfect diner atmosphere. There is also a store attached with an assortment of items. We enjoyed the best cornmeal crusted fried green tomatoes I've ever had! The pecan chicken entree was served with summer squash & fried potatoes. The country fried steak & eggs were served with a biscuit & delicious grits. Everything was wonderful! Couldn't give this place 5 stars simply because of the condition of the restrooms. Small, old, smelly & in overall poor condition. Definitely needs a major facelift! read more

Tuesday, lunch time with my Hubby. Seated immediately. Long wait for server to take drink order. Not busy upon arrival but full when we left. Three servers & the co-owner were working very hard to serve all. We have been going there for over 20 years & take all our guests there but feel the quality of the way food is made has gone down. The muffins were great 4 teeny tiny ones served. Potato soup was outstanding. The entrees were good but the Athens Grouper was bland and not appealing looking. Also a lot of bones in the grouper. Sides were good. The fruit in fruit cup was delicious. Chicken salad had a little too much mayo & tarragon this time. Desserts - always share one there & get one to go. Loved the Fliating Island in past. The English Custard was always to die for. Well the dish looked the same, beautiful but instead of custard it was obviously instant vanilla pudding ! I could have cried!!! Left most of it. The coconut cake we ate later was good. We will probably go back when our winter guests arrive b/c they live it. Maybe an off day but still deserving of a 4. I got breakfast to go. Eggs, bacon, cheese grits and toast. The only complaint is that the container got ripped when I set it down in my truck and the grits started coming out which means they probably should have been put into a separate bowl or something. Food was good and grits in particular very good. Another downside is that the breakfast cost me $19+ dollars which to me is pretty expensive for breakfast with no drink. read more

I did not know that this local gem was in Dade city until I did a quick search. My friends and I worked up an appetite and wanted to get something quick. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and other employees near the entrance, seated quickly and coffee was served shortly after being seated. Complimentary muffins were delicious and strawberry butter? I think it was strawberry butter - was also tasty. It has all the feels of an old time diner. Felt like we were in a Time Machine! I have added this to my list of goto places in the future whenever we are in the area. read more

This was my first time visiting this cute restaurant. Loved the cafe atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly to everyone. . We had the Fried green tomatoes that were absolutely delicious.. the sauce with it was amazing. I ordered the stuffed shrimp and green beans and potatoes. Oh yummy! The stuffed shrimp were fantastic. The green beans perfectly cooked... they gave me a mound of potatoes that I couldn't possibly finish. LOL That may have been because I ate two of the complimentary mini muffins at the beginning of the meal that were mouth watering. I was too full to try the desserts! Next time for sure!! I loved that they had a little store you could shop. I purchased a gift card for the restaurant for my daughter because I think she would love it. I will be back. Great service and delicious food. Decent range of homestyle cuisine. Rustic decor and outdoor seating is about half the dining capacity. An unusual, interesting place with a separate saloon building in a grouping. Dog friendly. A worthwhile visit. Their cinnamon rolls are outstanding. My blackened chicken breast sandwich was a generous size and very good. Others at my table of six liked what they ordered, including the shrimp and grits, one of the several types of breakfast burritos, and a chicken-fried steak with gravy and eggs. Food and service are amazing. First visit there since we were visiting relatives. One big downfall we discovered. You don't see the bill spelled out until you go to the cashier. After paying I realized we were overcharged. Example: a kids chocolate milk is 3.50 on the menu. We were charged 7.50each. Second a corned beef sandwich with fruit was supposed to be 15.95 plus .50 total 16.45. We were charged 17.94. Thirdly a stuffed animal was supposed to be 27.99 and we were charged 29.99. Went back after entering the car and realized the menu prices don't match the bill. The big problem is they don't hand you the bill total, they hand you the copy for food servers. Not a good practice. Beware! I left with 11.32 after pointing it out. read more

Food was pretty good, but beware the restaurant charges an outrageous 4% for the convenience of using your credit card. Given how ubiquitous cards are, it is ridiculous that any establishment would charge the customer for this, let alone 4%. Build the cost into your menu prices instead of nickel-and-diming your customers. And I know you are not being charged 4% on that transaction, so to charge the customer that much is unconscionable. read more

Breakfast is outstanding both in flavors and value. Bar none the best corned beef hash and eggs I've eaten. Better than the food is the ambiance. Brenda, Mariah and the entire staff exemplify true southern hospitality. If you are anywhere close to Dade City it is well worth a visit. read more

The service here is the least I would complain about but it isn't up to standard. The workers didn't seem happy or like they even wanted to work. Seems like they are there for the pay. My main concern is the amount of roach like bugs I've seen during the 1hour I sat and ate. I was disgusted, I took a few bites and made it seem like it was all ok but the reality is I will never go back here. I hope they do something about the workers, they were rude and had zero desire to work! The bug problem is out of control if I was able to see more than 2-3 during a 1 hour duration. read more
