Loved the décor and my chicken piccata was delicious. Next time I'll ask for a couple extra wedges on the side. Our server was terrific!

It's a really neat restaurant and bar (bar is separate and has a smoking area). Laid out very nicely with combos of booths and tables. Very lively for a Sunday and the service was hard. Now the food, nice eclectic menu lots of choices so might take a while to decide. We started with the chips with balsamic glaze and blue cheese dressing and crumbles. It was pretty good and filling but could have used a little bit more actual blue cheese. The au jus dip was just ok with the au jus gravy overly salty. The grouper tacos ( server recommended) lacked any real flavor but I did appreciate the deep fried taco shell that held it all together. I'm sure other items in the menu are 4-5 star worthy but our experience didn't quite hit those numbers.

Really enjoyed my food here. They had a chicken and gnocchi special and it was absolutely delicious. The tomato sauce with my child's pasta was sweet chunky and so tasty. The interior has a bunch of taxidermy and unique decor. I would definitely go back to try other options.

We have brought our large groups here multiple times. Here is how I rate certain items: Espresso martini 5!! Fried green tomatoes napoleon 5 star Crab bisque 4 stars Lobster ala vodka 3 stars Beef stroganoff 3 stars Cajun Alfredo 4 stars Prime rib sandwich 3 stars Pasta meals 3-4 stars (Our food Server brought a hot as lava bowl of lobster pasta to my daughter and had my daughter grab bowl across table. She scalded her hands and had a lot of pain and burns for a week. A month later I was handed a plate and scalded my hands as well. They really need to not hand customers hot plates. I'm not sure how they are not aware of this as we can't possibly be the only customers with this experience.)

I revisited Kade Kokopelli, this time in the evening. I dined inside rather than outside this evening and the ambiance was on par. Low key, cozy, quirky vibes with a touch of flair. I love the decor! In ordered the ahi tuna salad and it was eh. The "dressing" was basically soy sauce and the entire thing basically tasted like soy. Blech. There wasn't much to it (4 orange slices and almond slivers with the tuna and greens) and for the price you're better off trying something else. My daughter ordered chicken friend steak with mashed taters and beans which was really good comfort food! The portion was huge! The key lime pie was super tangy and not really pie, more like a cheesecake. It was okay, but my daughter enjoyed it. My old fashioned, made with woodford exchange, was really tasty. That was MY dessert! I'd come back again to try other foods simply because the vibe is amazing and the service is good as well!

I have never had my table left like this and I have never complained or left a review in my life but this one upset me.

I have been going to kokapellis for 10 years ,lunch and dinner and have never gotten a bad meal or bad service but today I recieved both , 2 of the meals were a mess but mine the worst ,my steak was gray with no sear and I ask for extra Bernanise and the waiter came back when he was serving my meal and then informed me there wasn't any , the asparagus was mushy and the black rice had no flavor . I would have gladly ordered something else in its place ,I get when people are busy but the table was a mess and the worst part is the tip is forced so it doesnt matter if its left a mess .

Wow this was a fun and eclectic old Ford motor garage. The restaurant has owned this location for the past 30 years. There's a lot of fun, timeless, traditional items on the menu from gator bites, to stuffed meatloaf, full bar and lots of cool drinks to try. Service tonight was actually excellent, from the walk up to the sit down and the introduction from our waiter, friendly and impressionable for sure we're part of my description.

We came here on a Sunday right at opening and sat outside with our dog. Big plus that they're dog-friendly! We were greeted quickly, and our waitress was attentive throughout. I ordered the chicken piccata, and it was really enjoyable. It was flavorful and well-prepared. My husband had the smash burger, which he liked overall but thought could use some kind of sauce to bring it all together. The outdoor seating was shaded, which made for a comfortable experience. Overall, a great visit, and we'd definitely come back!

Haven't been here in years but I love the food, ambience, and service is wonderful. We came for lunch and ordered fried Calamari and Prime rib dip and French fries for $1.50 extra instead of chips. The Calamari was a tad overcooked but still enjoyable hence the one star deduction. The Prime rib dip was delicious, and since we were sharing it, our server brought us an extra plate and two dips. Our French fries were cold, but our server checked on us promptly so she was able to replace them promptly with delaying eating our lunch. The decor is quite eclectic with numerous animal heads and hanging door dividers and pictures from yesteryear. Very enjoyable place for a meal. Parking lot is small and street parking is not plentiful.

We have been to this spot 2 times now and enjoyed it both times. The decor is really unique. The staff and service is excellent. The food is really good! Week days they have a great lunch deal of getting 2 items for $11. I really loved the tomato soup! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! We love it and will be back!

What a cute and eclectically decorated cafe. We started with some brunch cocktails which were hand crafted and amazing. I had the crab bisque and Caesar salad, but were seasoned wonderfully. Our server was kind and knowledgeable, and we over all enjoyed our experience.

I ordered the orange martini and asked if it was sweet - server said no... it came a couple mins later not full and extremely sweet. I asked her to pls fill the martini glass and use vodka to cut the sweet. Came back as palatable, albeit still sweet. Lunch came and the gumbo was excellent! Wife's shrimp po boy was on a bun, not a roll as expected, and was meh... lacked flavor. Still acceptable and came with an order of fries that was great. When the bill came I noticed the martini (14$) was on the bill as expected, but also had an addl 8$ for an extra shot. I asked what this was for and she said she added more Tito's, so I was charged. So now we have one full Tito's martini (still over sweet) for 22$. Wish I would have just returned the shitty drink and ordered a beer. When no bartender at place and servers need to make drinks this shit happens. Dumb move as we'll not ever go back. Lesson learned. Food is good, but stick with beer in this place.

It's cafeteria style with pricing by the number of "mains" and sides you choose. We both selected fried chicken and it crispy, seasoned just right and juicy. The sides were plentiful. It's a black owned business, with a predominately brown staff, and a lot of white patrons. This becomes relevant later in the review. For a while, we were regulars and always got along with everyone in the restaurant. My wife swore they had the best fried chicken in town! As a retired Army War Veteran, I often wear patriotic t-shirts. I have a few t's that display my support for the US Flag and the Veterans who died to defend Her. One day, this did not seem to sit well with the black management; as the Colin Kaepernick incident was still fresh in the minds of most black Americans. The black gentleman who manages the restaurant wasn't his usual jovial self after he saw my t-shirt. After a few visits, I felt a bit unwelcomed only by the black staff. No one else changed. The Black Eyed Pea became my new top restaurant for southern food, but my wife still loved Steph's. So, we continued to go there occasionally, but not as often. After a while, the manager seemed to have returned to his old self and was friendly and joking with us again. After Steph's temporarily closed to give the staff a well-deserved vacation, we started to return as regular customers again. Unfortunately, while eating a bowl of collard greens, a piece of the metal mesh they used to strain the greens got lodged into my gums. This scared my wife as she thought I was choking. I was able to remove the metal wire and I reported it to the manager. He did apologize and recognized that it was from one of his strainers. His final statement to me was "Thank you for understanding." No removal of the contaminated food tray from the line. No replacement side. No complimentary dessert. No refund or discount. At that point, my wife was angry! There are a lot of elderly people who eat there. If one of them had swallowed that wire and was injured, Steph's would have ended up getting sued. Luck was on their side with me not pursuing the matter, but their lack of gratitude and their unwillingness to correct their error got them on my wife's bad side. And we haven't returned since.
