Visited on a Tuesday evening. Friendly. Very clean. Owner came to table and chatted. Later checked on us. They were steadily busy as time went on. Several take out pick ups. I could not eat any of their fried items because of shellfish allergy. They fry everything in same grease as shrimp, all shellfish, as most restaurants unfortunately do. Why, when so many have this allergy. Husband got vegetable soup, country fried steak, mashed potatoes, I got the Philly cheesesteak. Could not eat the fries (allergy ) so asked for mashed potatoes. Was charged for those . The cheese steak was ground beef, no seasoning, very little seemed frozen peppers. No onion seen or tasted. Tiny bit of cheese melted on top. Not tasty at all. Hubby's vegetable soup was ok. Steak was only ok. Potatoes were hot and good. We were disappointed in the food after seeing good reviews. We do eat out a lot at very nice places and we're just wanting some homestyle cooking. This is not the place for it, IMO. They are trying! read more

The place was immaculate, easy to find and well maintained. But, The restaurant was covered in memorabilia of John Wayne ( a well known racist, homophobe and sexist) so that made us a bit uncomfortable. The service was good and our waitress was attentive and kind. The food came out pretty timely but was flavorless. Even the fries were bland. Everything was either under seasoned or over cooked. They had a wide variety of menu options but decent prices but again, the lack of flavors greatly limited enjoyment. Unfortunately, No one of our party finished their meal. read more

This is a gem of a diner, with a distinct theme (John Wayne.). We went on a Sunday morning and were seated in less than 5 minutes. The staff were attentive and friendly. All the dishes tasted fresh. My favorite were the home fries, seasoned to perfection, they weren't oily, they were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. First time trying it, and it was ok! Food- I ordered a Cuban sandwich with some fries. The sandwich and fries were pretty bland. I had to add a little more seasoning to the fries. The Cuban sandwich felt like I was eating at the local hospital. Service- Our server was sweet, but rarely checked on us. The restaurant wasn't really busy at the time. They seem sweet to regulars, to the point of helping one out of the car. We were new to the restaurant. It's great they treat customers well, we probably just came in at the wrong time. Ambiance- 2 & 2 gives diner vibes. Nice little cafe seats and booths. Famous actor is plastered all over the walls and even a cardboard cutout of him! Must be a fan? This is Kurt's 3rd restaurant that we have tried since moving to ZHills/Wesley Chapel 20 years ago, and by far his best. Hubby and I arrived for breakfast on a Friday morning. It wasn't too busy, and we were seated right away. Kurt was there and welcomed us warmly, remembering us from Hills Grocery & Restaurant and 2 Minutes. The theme is still John Wayne, but it's not as overwhelming as his other two places. 2&2 is very well lit, spacious, and clean. The servers were very friendly. Hubby ordered the veggie omelet with home fries and a biscuit and I ordered the Eye Opener: 2 eggs, Hash Browns, biscuit, (and no bacon or sausage, which comes with it). Both meals include coffee (decaf for us). Our food was prepared well and was delivered quickly. This restaurant, like his others, is not a fancy place. It's just solid American food served at very affordable prices. Don't compare this to First Watch or other fancier restaurants because it would be apples to oranges. Kurt caters to the senior community, which wants just good, consistent food at affordable prices. This is what he does very well. This is a newer location which opened in the fall 2024. There are lots of seating options both at the table and booth. There is a small salad bar that is well stocked for sides. Came in on a Sunday. I liked the painting and all the John Wayne memorabilia. I was hoping for something good and I was pretty disappointed. Food lacked flavor and the coffee wasn't good either. Floors were a bit dirty under the tables. The syrup bottle was very sticky. Our waitress was very nice and suggested some things on the menu to save us a buck or two. My kid did enjoy the pancakes and OJ. I'm a big fan of hash browns but I couldn't finish theirs. read more

Went there last week for the first time hadd a Patty mount it was loaded with cheese the fries were awesome the service was great the restaurant was clean. We were there for a fish fry. Our reservation was for 5:30. (Yes we even had a reservation!) We got our food at 6:45. There were 8 of us in the party. 4 got their food at 6:30. The other four had to wait for another 15 minutes. Our waitress was not on the ball. People that came in 15 minutes or later than we did got their fish before we did from a different waitress (Sunny). That waitress was quicker and on the ball. When we complained, our waitress said they were still deep frying our order, yet other tables were getting theirs while we had to wait. This is the second time we have gone and gotten poor slow service. We won't go back for their fish fry unless we get a different waitress like Sunny. She was doing a much better job. More than likely though, we probably won't go back. It wasn't like they were overcrowded and inundated with orders when we were there. Just a slow waitress not paying attention to us. Spent over $32 at restaurant, my friend and I each got a chef salad and my husband got the quarter pound burger Attached is a picture of his burger that tells you everything you need to know who is the size of a McDonald's kids meal burger. The chef salads weren't was no egg in did have pepperconi's and dill pickles, which I found very strange and I believe they also had roast beef as well as turkey ham. This was the first time and our last time eating at this establishment. The iced tea wasn't even good. I took my mother midge E out for her Birthday Lunch and was totally embarrassed Service sucked!. 4 people who arrive after us got there food and ate it and left before we got our food. When our food arrived or onion rings were all in a glob stuck together. They apologized many times for the 2 hr. lunch. Kurt seemed to be worthless when we talked to him to know what was going on. Prices have gone up 30-40% not a good buy to eat there anymore with crappy service. Recommend would be go some where else and eat. Dairy queen $7 meal is good quality and reasonable. read more
