First time here and pan on coming back soon. I do wish this experience would have been better but they looked short staffed and busy. That being said the waiter kept us informed of being busy and understaffed and did his best to stay on top of things. I will always be patient and respectful if you are up front with me. The whole place is very cute. Just a light hearted theme of music and water / Hawaiian them. They have great indoor and outdoor door seating. Outdoor seating overlooks a nice large pond or small lake. Would love to sit outside next time around. I ordered the UKE'S JAMMIN' JAMBALAYA. Absolutely loved it outside it was a little watered down but the flavor and heat was there. The spice was not overbearing but enough to make you slow down and take a drink as needed. Outside of the staffing issues, this place is around the corner from our house and could easily become our local pub to stop by for a drink every now and then. read more

Very lovely place, the food is amazing, and the staff are very kind. We ordered a Grouoer Nuggets Basket, Gator Nuggets Basket, & Hushpuppies. The atmosphere was just great, live band with good singing along music, and our waiter was just the best. I wish l'd remembered her name because she was amazing, even though there was a party of 12 sitting behind us, she always came by to check up on us. Recommended to sit out by the lake area you will not regret it, such a lovely scenery. The only thing I can complain about this place is the chair stools outside if you a curvy and have a big booty they will not be comfortable. Other than that I love this place. read more

Cute location next to the lake. Food was good (not great) but still quite good. The portion sizes are great! The sandwich was good, I do wish they had homemade ranch instead of Ken's (not very good) or had some sort of mayo for the sandwich. The onion rings were really good though. The kids love the fried fish (looked amazing!) and the cheeseburger. Our waiter was super friendly, they were quite busy and seemed under staffed (poor guy). But he did a great job regardless. Un-attentive waitress. We went for the all you can eat crab legs. Took about an hour just for the salads, meal came out shortly after and the crab legs/sweet potato fries were cold. My sandwich was a little warm. The next orders of crab legs were hot. The place was not terribly busy and It didn't look like our waitress had any more then 4 or 5 tables to care for. I went looking for her several times and saw her no where. We are locals and have eaten there many times but won't be back. There was a table of 4 people beside us that were visitors from another state who had the same waitress and told us of their experience which ended being the same as ours. They wished us luck as they were still waiting on their check to leave but our luck was no better. read more

Updated review through the years: The grouper isn't Florida grouper (nor does it claim to be). Not cool. They have decently-priced drinks and it seems like they have new management. Other than grouper situation (people like to assume if it's on a menu in Florida then it's Florida grouper) it's pretty good. read more

Here from out of town (but I used to live in FL ) stopped in because my friend said it was good. I wanted seafood, had the Grouper Nuggets and they were perfectly fried and not dry at all. Ordered it with Sweet Potato Fries, and it also came with hush puppies and coke slaw. Everything was cooked perfectly and the service was great! Although we've been here many times, we "always" got a table outside. We enjoy the view and like watching for alligators and other wildlife that may come into view. When we have out of town guest, this is one of the places we take them to and it is always a big hit. The menu consist mainly of bar type food and nothing fancy here. In my opinion it certainly gives that Florida feeling, which is boosted with gator bites being on the menu. We've always had good service here, they check up on you often, will help you select items from the menu and my favorite, they keep your drinks full! I've tried a good number of items on the menu and in my opinion you can't go wrong. By far, my favorite is their Grouper sandwich, blackened. In fact, I use this very sandwich as my measure against all other grouper sandwiches that I get and there have been very few places that were able to meet Ukulele's grouper sandwich. My 'only' complaint is that they recently built and extension out onto the lake. It has a great view! The problem is the stools in this area are for people with tiny butts. For those of us with a larger butt, these stools are just too uncomfortable to sit in. read more

We had the all you can eat Crab Legs. Autumn was our server. She was fantastic and very attentive to our refills! The Crab Legs were great. The Hush Puppies were overcooked and dry. The Cole slaw was tasteless and needed seasoning. This was Rock N Roll Bingo night. Our main complaint was the music the DJ played and his calling of the Bingo numbers. This place is and awesome place to eat seafood on the lake. I've been here countless times and it never gets old. I take friends who are visiting the area here and they love the food as much as I do. There's something that just can't be beat about sitting in the lake enjoying your delicious meal. The servers are pleasant and I've never had a problem even when I've had bigger parties that took longer to order. Overall just a great restaurant. 100% recommend. read more

We had stopped going to Ukulele Brands a few years ago. Food was just okay. We recently revisited and gave it another chance. When they rebuilt their kitchen a few years ago they did something right. Party of three, sat inside, the band was way too loud, food was really good and the portions were enough for six people. Before it seemed like it was just fried food, but the menu is huge. Plenty of options for different tastes. Wait staff was on. Manager checked each table to make sure everything was good. We will be back. read more

This place is pretty decent. I loved the chips and queso they have. The view is nice, music is nice, and the staff is ok. I would've given it 5 stars if the staff was a little more attentive. I had to ask for refills on my drink a few times and a good waiter/waitress won't let you go dry. Especially as long as I sat dry. I loved being able to sit outside and enjoy the weather and music while having some dinner. I had neighbor kids with me, and they loved it as much as I did. I can't wait to come back and see if the service is any better. This was my first time here and parking can be a little tricky if you don't come early. I happened to get there at the end of the band on a Sunday, and parking wasn't easy to get, so I'm sure it is worse when the band is just beginning. I will be back! read more

First off, let me applaud this establishment for such a cool name. They try to capture that "Old Florida" atmosphere and offer a nice varied menu to appeal to almost anyone who ends up sitting down in one of their chairs for a meal or a drink. Place has a cool vibe, there is no disputing that. The view of the lake only enhances that whole experience. The food is ok, but remember a place like here is more about the atmosphere and the ambiance and the food kind of falls into a distant second place. Still, this is a cool place to gather with friends. I ultimately would recommend it. Go there looking forward to the company of friends and a cool view and you will enjoy the meal. read more

It had those dark Grille marks that look fake and if you heat heat it up in the microwave, it doesn't stay hot very long like fresh chicken that was grilled and sliced up would be. We came here at the suggestion of some family members with a group including a couple kids. It's a little bit out of the way, but I can see how during warm weather or during the day it would be nice to be lakeside, listening to some live music, etc. As it was a cool and windy evening, we sat inside. The setting is very rustic. Jeans were certainly appropriate dress. Service was good. And the place was busy. Prices aren't too expensive. Our group ordered meatloaf and burgers -- both pretty good. One person had a salad -- just okay; I had a blackened grouper sandwich (passable) and the kids got children's meals which looked a bit skimpy for growing boys. I think burgers are the way to go based on our table comments. I definitely wouldn't order the fish I got again. And I'm not quite sure what their specialty or strength is -- I couldn't tell by the menu. It's a bit of a mash up. Good craft beer selection!!! I usually knock a star off for cleanliness, however everything else made up for the funky smells coming from the kitchen/bathroom area - everything was clean but the smell was noticeable as I walked through the kitchen area to the bathrooms. The service was attentive and friendly and the place was packed on a Friday night. The burgers looked juicy, the fry on the gator and grouper bites was very good, a bit heavy but that's I how like my fried food - fish and chips also had a similar breading.
