We came in for a relaxed morning coffee and crossword. The bakery options are a lot more geared towards sweet than savory - so we got the quiche. The drip coffee was priced ($4.50) almost like a barista-prepared drink. What was odd is the attitude of the person behind the counter. When I asked whether they have the ability to warm up the quiche - her curt and sarcastic response was "we know all that"..!? It was nice to view the actual work of baking goods happening in the back. They use organic flour. There is no service to the table and you bus your own dishes after. I'm surprised they kept the upstairs closed - when it was quite busy and it's self-serve regardless.

Great little cafe in the cutest little area, lots of street parking, staff is friendly and helpful. The shortbread cookie was so good I would get it again, lots of baked goods to choose from. Ample seating indoors and outdoors

Floriole is very popular on the weekends and for good reason - sunlit, spacious lofted seating and beautifully baked goods makes a winning combo. When my friend and I visited on a chilly Saturday afternoon, there was about a 25-minute wait from end of line to order pick up. A little long wait, but one of us used the time to snag a table. The chocolate croissant was solid, but the tomato egg focaccia stole the show! The coffee and tea complemented the pastries, but definitely nothing to write home about. Overall, Floriole is a gorgeous spot for date or to get some work done, if you're lucky enough to snag a table!

I love Friole's ambiance! It has so much natural lighting and plenty of seating. They have a great upstairs dining area, as well as patio seats. Staff was very friendly! Seasonal tahini latte: 4/5 Ham and cheese croissant: 4/5 Egg sandwich: 3.5/5 Honey pecan sticky bun: 2/5 (super hard, seemed over done)

Floriole has been on my list to try for a very long time. I had a friend flying in from Los Angeles for a couple days in the city to see a concert with me and knew we had to have Floriole on the agenda. The cafe sits in the Lincoln Park neighborhood and has a beautiful store front. There are huge windows that create the most gorgeous natural light inside the cafe, creating the warmest and coziest environment. There are a couple of shelves with some souvenir type goodies for sale, and a refrigerated cooler with some grab 'n go type options as well. The counter where you order is large and has a stunning display behind glass of available pastries and sandwiches. Their menu does change so there are often new options to choose from for your treat. The staff that took our order at the counter was kind and patient while we ordered for the first time. I obviously had to try the breakfast sandwich as a long time listener, first time caller. It comes on the flakiest, butteriest croissant I've had this side of Paris, with eggs that are so light and airy they almost feel souffled. The best part and what makes it so unique and delicious is the tomato jam they upgrade the sandwich with, it's rich and acidic and tangy and just *chef's kiss*. I also had an iced green tea which was refreshing and light, and tasted freshly brewed. My friend ordered breakfast as well and a coffee, and she highly enjoyed both. Floriole has a menu that makes me wish I could just endlessly order food and enjoy it all without any limits on feeling full. There is no bad choice here and you can tell how much care and love and respect goes into every pastry they make. I can't wait to go back and try new seasonal items like their current garleek twist (which looks so amazing). Thank you so much Floriole for an amazing experience!

Bright and cute cafe with lots of rotating baked goods and good coffee options. Just located by a park where my little could play and let the energy run out before or after. Very friendly staff. Pre-order function is always a big help to skip the line. We love it. I honest think they have the best canele in the chi town. Even my very picky son likes them a lot.

The food here, the baking, is absolute art. Unbelievable. I was taken aback by the quality of the breads here. Try the breakfast sandwich on "croissant bun". The seeded sourdough is a fantastic take home, as is the Parisian ham sandwich. Great coffee as well. All-in-all an amazing place for a Sunday morning with plenty of seating. Your group will easily be accommodated.

I've returned at least a dozen times since my first review. This is my favorite bakery in the city now! The galettes are absolutely out of this world.

Floriole is a beautiful pastry shop located just down the street from Trebes Park. The interior is stunning and the pastries are wonderful. However, either order ahead or show up early as there is a long wait time. We made sure to stop by about 2 hours before going to a workout class and it took about 45 minutes for two lattes and two pastries to be ready after waiting in line. I can't fault them for being a victim of their own success. I would say it's worth the wait if you don't have anywhere to be as it was one of the most delicate and buttery croissants I've had in the city. The Salted Tahini Caramel Latte was fine, it was decent coffee but didn't necessarily wow me with its flavor. They have a few seats near the entrance and a pretty big open space upstairs. The staff is friendly and didn't rush anyone ordering.

Floriole is a lovely little cafe and bakery nestled in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful homes and lots of trees. The interior is beautiful and calming with lots of light and an airy, open concept. The pastries are beautifully displayed and equally as yummy. I love coming here to grab a parisian sandwich and iced chai latte with oat milk... it's an obsession. The baristas are polite and efficient, so even if there's a line (which there quite often is!) it goes by quickly. They close a bit early for my liking (2PM) so get here early if you're looking to get some studying or work in! Overall, a must visit for those who love exploring cafes in the city!

The ambience is definitely the high point of this cafe. It's very cute and aesthetic, however when it came down to what I ordered I remember thinking it was fine but nothing special, but perhaps I didn't order the right thing.

Cute cafe & bakery in west Lincoln park! The main thing that sets Floriole apart is the amount of interior space. For a cafe, there is so much great seating downstairs, upstairs, and outside (it looked like they have a small rooftop porch in the summer as well as seating outside the storefront!). 8 of us were able to sit comfortably at the large table upstairs. I offered a cold brew and a chocolate croissant. The croissant was flaky, light, and flavorful but I wish it had more chocolate. They had a nice variety of other tarts and breads too. My friends got a variety of things and everything was enjoyed. I'd like to come back and try other things here! For a bakery it is a little on the expensive side (I think my coffee and croissant was $12).

Great drinks and pastries. The cafe has an open upstairs with plenty of seating. The asparagus and goat cheese galette was flaky and delicious.

Did they stop offering free wifi? I thought they used to, but was recently there and it seems like they do not offer this amenity.

Is this place permanently closed? If so I am very sad. I have recieved some news that you will reopen soon in September.

    No. They are remodeling.

When visiting Chicago last week I was looking for coffee spots within walking distance of Grant Park and I found fairgrounds. I'm so glad I chose to stop in! The indoor seating area is small with one larger table, a single seat & table, and some bar like seats. I was able to snag the single seat with a small round table to myself. It was so cute inside and while I wish there was more indoor seating there was a lots of space to sit outside which I also enjoyed after finishing my food.
