I bought a Groupon for this nail salon without knowing anything about it. After reading reviews, I was expecting to get the worst gel manicure ever; however my experience was the complete opposite. I was able to call and make an appointment with no problems and it seemed like they had a lot of availability. I will admit the lady on the phone was not the most courteous, but that's beside the point. I arrived at the salon about 20 minutes before my appointment and they were still able to sit me down right away. Floris Nails has a great selection of gel options. My nail technician was very nice and knew how to balance conversation with silence through the course of my manicure. I got my nails done 2.5 weeks ago and they have yet to chip or snag on my hair. She cut my cuticles so short that 2 of my fingers bled. Then when I asked for a buff instead so I wouldn't have polish on an open wound, she tried to charge me an extra $5 for the labor. When it was her fault! I paid the extra $, but then I realized she buffed right over my clear nail polish, which she didn't notice or remove. She also didn't trim/file my nails either. Overall, the place is clean but you will pay a lot for quite little- they rush despite the place being empty and pay no attention to detail. I've been here a couple of times for a regular manicure which was fine, though nothing special and they kind of skimp on any pampering/massaging. Then I went for a French gel manicure and payed $40 (not including tip) for a very mediocre job where I was told my nails were too short for it to look good, despite having the same manicure done a couple of weeks earlier with even shorter nails (where I paid less for a nicer job). My mom and I came here while out of town for Virginia. The spa itself is beautiful and very clean, but the prices are a tad bit high. $30 for a pedicure, with a 5 minute foot massage (which is timed) and then a 5 minute hand massage (also timed). I went last Saturday morning and received a gel mani/pedi for an event. My girlfriend and I had 9:30 AM appointments and we were seated right away. I was really excited because the salon is beautiful and looks very clean, shiney and new. They were also offering 30% off mani/pedis... now I know why.... My gel mani only lasted about 5 days. One of the nails completely lifted off on day 5 and the others started chipping by day 6. Today, two nails are completely lifted off and a bunch are chipped. Ironically, my right hand is not as bad as the left, and I am right handed. I would go back and have them fixed but I won't be in the area until Monday and am not sure if they will do anything or if it's worth it. The pedicure was great, at first. I upgraded to the European package because of the special. The massage was amazing. My only issue was my big toes are both smudged... and I walked out in flip flops and went to bed (I am a nurse and work nights) and didn't have closed toe shoes on until the following day when I went for a run - weird that the polish did not fully dry by then?? Grace was my technician for both services but a different person did my shoulder massage while she was doing my nails so tipping was kind of confusing. I wish I had known if they pooled tips or not so I knew how to allocate my tip. I was really impressed at first but noticed when I went to grab a tea at Corner Bakery one of my nails had a bubble! So, I walked back in after I got my tea to have them fix it. I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to help me and they tried to tell me nothing was wrong with it! I am sorry but the customer is always right and if I see and feel a bubble, I want it fixed. She did fix it after the manager (I think she was the manager at least), came by and looked at it and told her to fix it. Then the other technician who was told to fix it (not Grace) proceeded to speak in her native tongue to another technician the entire time in a very angry, annoyed tone which I can only assume was about me and the situation. I visited Floris spa at the suggestion of one of my co-workers and an advertised Groupon deal. I contacted the spa and made an appointment for after work. I was shocked by the atmosphere but sadden by the attitude by the front desk representative. The front desk person was not very friendly and did not seem to take notice I was a new customer to her establishment. However, the place is absolutely gorgeous, from the glass bowls on the pedicure chairs to the openness of the space. It is one of the nicest nail salon's I have seen in a long time, but very pricey. Nevertheless, I can not remember the name of the individual whom was assigned to perform my pedicure but I do remember she was nice. However, appeared very young and required more experience on adequately performing a through removal of the callouses on my feet. A regular pedicure is $30!! Psshhh So not worth it. This is my 2nd time there as I thought maybe I had a bad tech last time. They barely scrub the bottom of the feet, barely cut the cuticle even filing of the nail was weak. I felt teased the entire service. I went to Floris in Horsham yesterday and used a Groupon for a gel manicure and I'm not sure of my techs name because she wasn't wearing a tag but it took her almost 40 minutes to remove the previous gel that I had on. She was saying that she's never seen gel like that before....I wanted a nude color and I found one that I liked she stared shaping my nails then painted them. The color was was lighter than I wanted kind of transparent but at this point I was ready to leave. When I got home I noticed she didn't paint the top portion on one of my nails and almost 6 nails have imperfections. Ive never had issued with gel polish, it looks like she used regular nail polish and put my hands under the UV light. I will never return to this establishment. I looks nice and higher end but these people don't know what they are doing. The woman at the front desk continued to tell walkins that they were full and she didn't even off to see if they wanted to make an appointment for another day. Update: it's been 3 days since my horrible gel manicure. The gel is lifting and my cuticles look awful. I could to take it anymore and went to my normal place. I couldn't believe how much cuticle she removed. She said the sides were fine but the tips of the nail still had a lot of cuticle around it. I had asked the wan at floris to go back and do the tips since I noticed she only did the sides. She apparently faked her way around the tips. This was evident by how my cuticle was removed after only 3 days. I couldn't believe how back my nails looked and neither could my normal nail girl. My nails are perfect once again thanks to my regular place. I doubt Floris really cares about their customers satisfaction. The owner/manager was sitting right there and did nothing. My money and my referrals will continue to go to my normal place in Southampton. read more

Don't go as a walk in guest. They do not seem to like walk in customers or appointments made during the same day/short notice. They tend to be rude and rushed with their services. If you find someone you like there make your appointments with that one person because they are not all alike. I went to get a regular pedicure and was told my nails were "messed up" from a previous pedicure and the shape couldn't be corrected, which confused me. The woman who painted my nails did an awful job that I have to redo when I get home. The part that really sucks is I came here to get my nails done for a wedding. So I'll start my review by saying I have only gotten a pedicure done once here and they did a good job, not amazing, but just as good as other salons. Nothing I'd give them a negative review over. However, I have tried to go here on three other occasions and each time I've been asked if I have an appointment and been told to come back later (like 2 hours later). I could understand if this happened once or at a peak time of the day, but i've literally walked into the shop the moment it opens at 9:30. It seems a little ridiculous to me that I HAVE to have an appointment at 9:30 am, otherwise I can't be seen. They have assured me that isn't the case, but now it's happened to me three times I can either learn to make an appointment or take my business elsewhere. I took my business elsewhere. read more

I was in town on travel and Floris Spa and Nails was able to accommodate my walk-in pedicure and gel manicure. The space was spacious with relaxing decor. It was also nice and quiet while I had both my services! Joanne was very sweet and took her time. Both my toes and gel mani came out fantastic! I go here for pedicures somewhat regularly, and I always make an appointment with Jane. She is the best. My pedicures last for several weeks. I'm not sure about the other techs because I've only ever had Jane, but anyone I've spoken to over the phone or at the front desk, have always been friendly. I also was here shortly after they reopened after being closed for the pandemic, and I was very comfortable with the precautions being taken. Up until about a year ago, I either cut my nails myself or bit them (true confession). Then through urgings by my wife and female cousins, I went for a professional manicure. I was brought to Floris in Horsham, because that's where she goes. Now I go regularly, because let's face it, guys just can't do a really good job of this (and I no longer bite my nails!). Fingernails grow about twice as fast as toe nails, so I opt for the mani-pedi about once a month, and take advantage of the price specials (it scares me that I actually know how to use the term mani-pedi!). I really tried to be fair and give this place a chance despite the reviews. It is a beautiful shop, very serene. I went twice. First experience was 4 stars, mani/pedi nicely done, the tech was friendly. I wanted to make another appointment with her but she said she'd be out of the country. So I gave it another try. Absolutely horrible experience. An older woman with dark glasses and a major attitude was my tech. She seem very disinterested in while doing the manicure, often filing my nails and looking another direction. I wasn't looking for any conversation so I was ok with her not talking to me. But her body language and the way she'd just tap on my foot to indicate when to bring it out of the water was rude. I had a normal sized callous on my big toe (nothing out of the ordinary) and she completely overlooked it. I asked her to file it down and was told that can't be done with a regular pedicure. I said I can do it myself at home but I'm here for a service. After a back and forth she finally decided to file it and amazing it went away with only 4 strokes of the pumice !!!! At this point I still needed a manicure and was not willing to deal with her rudeness anymore. I told her that she can stop and asked if someone else can please finish. She shot back with "I'm not that type of person, I never did anything " Whatever that meant, I just told her that she seemed very disinterested and I am requesting another tech. Another tech came to do the manicure as the other finished the pedicure. This is the only salon I have been to where you sit in pedicure seat for both manicure and pedicure. It was awkward. You have to hold your hands on a pillow as the tech works from one side of the chair. Anyway, I really liked the manicure so was willing to give this place another try because of its convenient location to other places that I need to be at. This review is for the Floris Nails Salon in Exton. Do not go there!!! They do not sterilize any of the tools they use. While I was getting my pedicure, I watched employee after employee, and also the owner, barely rinse the tools in the sink and then place them in a blue pouch that would signify that the tools are sterilized. They are NOT! I even saw an employee go from one customer to another customer for a manicure using the same UNWASHED tools. I spoke to the manager after my pedicure was done and brought the sign to her that said that all of the tools were sterilized with the "Enclave machine" as hospital do and told her that she did not follow her sign. She said that she did sterilized them because they were in the blue pouch. She obviously did not want to hear about the unsanitary conditions in which she runs her salon. Very disgusting!! I went today with an appointment for 11. Unfortunately, Lynn, was picked to do my gel manicure. My gel paint is bubbly and uneven. The gel nail polish also covers all of my cuticles. When I asked for her to fix this she ignored the request and continued on with what she was doing. I have never had a gel manicure take 25 minutes. I regularly go to Strawberry Nails in Hatboro, however they are closed for renovation and I couldn't wait. In hindsight I should have gone without the manicure. My 2 week old gel looked better than this. Not to mention the manager then about chased me out of the salon to ask if she could re-do them! No thAnk you! Overpriced!! Snobby workers - had Mani and pedicure. Nothing special for the expense

So the only reason why I have been coming to this salon is because I get my eyebrows waxed at Ulta and the girl there is hands down the best eyebrow shaper and waxer! Floris nails is definitely an attractive salon, but is NOT worth the hype. 1. I requested a mani and pedi, I was in and out in 35 min. 2. The technician, Grace, acted completely put out when I requested a regular manicure and pedicure minus the expensive upgrades. This would make my bill $45. That is very expensive for the going rate compared to other salons. 3. The lotion was rubbed on, then she took hot towels to remove lotion, there was no massage included in manai or pedi. 4. Then they offer a 5% discount if you pay with cash......Then they have a sign that says ATM has no surcharge. So I used the ATM machine and saved $2.25. My bill was now $42.75. Well I did get charged $2 to use the ATM!!!! 5. Then I tipped the technician $9 and she grabbed it from me and walked away. I then went to sit down at the drying station (which wasn't on) then she ignored me when I asked her to turn it on. She then rubbed my shoulders for 10 seconds, which I counted, then she went on break in the back. 6. My nails chipped the next day! What makes me so upset was that this was not the first time I was treated like crap and I tried to give it a second chance....I was a waitress so I definitely understand tipping people upon services. I tipped her over 20% and I didn't even get a "thank you" I will never come here again. It doesn't cost money to be nice! read more

Went to Floris this morning to get a gel polish. The woman, Grace, who was going to do my nails was looking at my nails while i was looking at polish colors. After I warned her my nails were pretty short, she proceeded to stick her finger nail under my nail (between the nail and skin). It hurt so bad and i pulled my hand back and said 'OW!'...she then grabbed my hand back to do this with other nails. I told her I wasn't getting my nails done. She had the nerve to ask why. I told her she hurt me (and she actually looked surprised!!). I decided I didn't want her doing my nails. The owner watched this all happen and NEVER stepped in. I turned and walked out of the salon. I will NEVER go back here. My finger/nail throbbed for 30 minutes afterwards and is still sore. Manicures are supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable...not here! read more

When and IF I DO return, I definitely want to have Grace work on me. She was helping the lady next to me, engaging in conversation and just seemed to be so friendly. I hope I can request to get her the next time I am in. I will even work around HER schedule! As of right now I will ONLY visit this business to use my $10 off next visit coupon (living social deal). When I called to set up the appointment I told them I can come around 5:30. She asked me if I can come at 5 I told them I don't get off work until 5. I made the appointment and at the end of the call she said ok be here at 5. I had to explain again I can't be there by then and she asked me AGAIN what time can I get there (it was like going around in circles). The place is BEAUTIFUL but the employee I had (Lynn) did not speak enough English to understand I wanted both a manicure and pedicure. During my pedicure the employee next to her (Jay) asked her something. She went to him and showed him how to cut this elderly woman's nail. (Her feet were disgusting I'm sorry to say) and after she came and started cutting mine. I was weirded out by having her just touch this strange woman's feet and grab a hold of mine! The pedicure went fine but my heels are not as smooth as they usually are after a pedicure. During the manicure she cut the cuticle on my right ring finger to the point I was bleeding! I tried to show her she looked nodded and continued to run the alcohol on my nails causing it to burn. She got a dry paper towel to try and pat the cut and looked at it saying "good good". It was not good, my cuticle was bloodstained and she did not understand when I asked for a wet paper towel to wipe it and attempted to put some blue liquid on it but stopped. She stopped and simply said pay now and couldn't explain I had to pay before applying the color. When I asked if they accepted card she pointed by the door where I assumed the woman at front would take the payment. I could see the debit card pin pad behind the counter but no one was there. She made me use the ATM instead and at first did not apply the living social voucher. She colored my nails but left the thumb darker than the rest so I had to ask for another coat on the others to make it even. It is not a smooth job and definitely something I could have done on my own. When moved to the drying station, I was told I would get a complementary massage... which never came. They never offered to turn on the massage chair while I was getting my mani/pedi either. When I was leaving I also witnessed another woman having a hard time using the voucher because they wanted the print out and would not accept the iPhone app. They made her pay full price and said they would reimburse her when she brought back the paper. This place definitely needs to work on having their customer service skills and etiquette match the ambiance. read more

I went to Floris Spa & Nail with my mom for a girls' day/birthday treat. My mom had bought a Living Social deal a while back, but I live in the city and we decided to make a special trip up to Horsham to get our nails done on a Saturday. The inside of the spa is pretty gorgeous. We sat down in the pedicure chairs right away, and although there was some confusion with the coupon on my mom's phone (a technical issue, not the spa's fault), things were fine. The coupon was for a pedicure, but I tacked a regular manicure onto mine. The pedicure was pretty quick (I like to sit in the pummeling massage chairs for a while) but it looked good so I was okay with that. The nail technician did my nails while I was still sitting in the pedicure chair, with a pillow under my forearms instead of at a table. Again, quick but okay. I sat under the nail dryer for a long time before leaving (I smudge wet nails every single time), and while it wasn't the best experience I've ever had at a nail salon, I left satisfied... Until I walked outside, that is. Once I had walked away from the salon and was under natural, bright sunlight, I could see that there were bubbles in the nail polish on each of my fingers. I was irritated because it was so obvious once I got a good look, and I was sure there was no way the nail tech didn't notice when she was painting them. However, I wanted to give them a chance to fix it, so I went back to the salon. The first woman (not my original nail tech) saw the issue and said they would fix it, and sat me right down at a manicure station. She grabbed my original polish color and said that she would re-do my nails. I asked her if the bubbling was an issue with the polish itself, and maybe I should pick a different color so I don't have the same issue again. She didn't really give me an answer. Then, she had another client so I was traded off to a different technician. Same question about picking a new polish, again no answer. Then, THAT technician had a client and I was handed off to the original technician that did my nails the first time. She told me to pick a new color. I asked her if the issue was with the polish...and no answer. At that point I was pretty frustrated that my legitimate question was being ignored. It wasn't even a hard question! Just tell me what the issue was the first time so I know how I can help in fixing it. I'd rather that my nails and toes match but I don't want more bubbles... I guess one of the techs sensed my frustration and asked me what the issue was, and I told her that I'd been handed off multiple times, each person told me something different, and no one would answer my question- which I repeated for her...NO ANSWER. I'm naturally a rather calm, reasonable person. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt because I've worked service jobs, and they're tough. I always tip well, even when service is bad, and I don't complain over things that are not HUGE problems. But this was just ridiculous. I felt like I was in a comedy sketch everyone was in on but me. I picked out a new color (not as nice as the first one and it doesn't match my toes), let her repaint my nails, and was done with it. She dragged me to the front door to check and make sure that there weren't bubbles in the polish this time. I'd suggest having brighter lights in the spa if you can't see your work under them. When my nails were drying, a woman who may have been the manager came to talk to me and my mom. Even with both of us explaining exactly why I was frustrated, she didn't really seem to see the issue or feel compelled to try and retain our business. A coupon for a discount would have gone a long way in making me feel like a valued customer. In any case, I will not be returning. I don't need to drive an hour out of my way for poor customer service, at a place that made me feel totally invisible...on my birthday. read more
