Really decent coffee at 10 cents a cup and unending refills are frosting on the cake. Add in one terrific waitress (Sherry) and other staff that ensured we always had a full cup of joe and that our table lacked for nothing and it adds up to a great outing. Stopped in for breakfast at Flo's after hearing about the famous 10-cent coffee, which is definitely one of the most unique things about the place. Breakfast itself was very basic diner fare -- eggs, toast, and the usual staples. Nothing fancy, but it was inexpensive and filled the plate. The atmosphere gave me strong old truck-stop diner vibes. Some people may appreciate that nostalgic roadside feel, but for me the restaurant felt a bit dirty and very worn down, like it hasn't had much maintenance or updating in quite a long time. One of the people dining with me ordered a lunch special of beef and mashed potatoes, and unfortunately it was extremely greasy and didn't seem freshly made. It was bad enough that they couldn't finish it. Another downside for me was that the diner is cash-only. We rarely carry cash, so we had to use the ATM, which added extra cost to the visit. Overall, Flo's is definitely a very old-school diner experience -- cheap food, tiny coffee prices, and a truck-stop style atmosphere. The 10 cent coffee is for real! In my experience, I find the blend to be somewhere between breakfast and medium blend. The cup is 8 oz so don't fret; the servers are constantly refilling the cups and you'll be extremely caffeinated by the time you pay at the register! With a meal, the 10 cent coffee refills are on the house. The prices on the menu are very reasonable and way cheaper than most mom-and-pop eateries. I hate giving one or two star reviews on businesses without good reason. I just didn't really care for the food. Not to sound like a food snob at all, but you get what you pay for. Prices are low, but eggs are clearly discount eggs and runny with a pale yolk, bacon tasted pretty poor and sausage wasn't very good either. I'm sorry Flos, I know you mean well but I do think you should try to source some better-quality food. I don't mean you disrespect but I just didn't think it was a good meal and that's unfortunate. If things turn around, I would be willing to give it another go and maybe turn this review around! Great food I'm always impressed! I'm not super into the grab your own silverware, jams, jelly's, and napkins. I'm a believer that it should be ready at a table or given to you by your server. Let me start by saying, the place is cute and the menu is great. Now the problem we had with Flo's Diner was a woman named Jodi ( I believe), she is the owners daughter. My husband and I were visiting family and my uncle told us about Flo's so we hopped in the car on our last day visiting. We all ordered and our waitress was awesome and then Jodi dropped the food, and as she was putting the plates down my cousin asked her if something was up in the kitchen. She said, "yeah why, what's up". My cousin said there is no cheese on my hoagie (a hoagie that look like it was stepped on). Jodie then irritated said, "is there anything else, do you want cheese"? My cousin at this point was irritated with her and said nope. Hello, the sandwich description says there is cheese on the sandwich. As the child of the owner, I don't think this is the behavior of someone of status in this type restaurant environment . My family returned the next day (only to make my elderly uncle, my cousin's dad, happy). This day Jodi offered an apology, but honestly it was too late. This is the impression she gave to non-regular customers that have a lot of family in the area. I would never recommend this place based on the non-respect of a customer. There is plenty of competition in the restaurant industry and no one place is bulletproof. My advice is, think before you open your mouth. We also found out later that she shares in the tip pool which I have a hard time with. Her job appears to be dropping food and mingling with the customers, which seems to be more of a restaurant manager. We had a hard time leaving a tip when we were treated this way, but who suffers, the wait staff. All of this negative feedback could have been avoided if the Manager (Jodi) could have kept a cool demeanor while the restaurant was busy. read more

In all fairness, our breakfast experience could only be described as "disappointing". We're not breakfast snobs, in any way, and would rather eat at a diner than almost any other establishment. Having driven by Flo's several times, we wanted to experience the diner atmosphere and 10 cent cup of coffee. Without belittling the entirety of the meal, suffice it to say "it filled the hole" and that's about all. Server seemed disinterested, food arrived tepid, hash tasted canned and the Floslop was a plate of boiled potatoes with a smattering of add-ins and no seasoning. Love love love this place. Flos is our second home! We love all the staff and of course the food! They don't take credit or debit cards but do have an ATM machine. We sit at the counter as I am disabled and it's hard for me to get up from a chair or booth. Also cool cause the coffee pot is close!!! Discovered this place on a Sunday afternoon. Inside looks like it hasn't changed since the 60's. Service was good and our food came quickly. I had a cheeseburger and fries. It's was huge but had no toppings at all. I guess you have to ask for lettuce and tomatoes. My wife went the breakfast route and had sausage and biscuits. She stated it was ok. My son had a fried haddock sandwich. He was happy. By far the best things we had are the desserts. There is a bunch of homemade cakes and pies. We split a chocolate pudding cake and a coconut cream pie. They we're both delicious. This is a mom and pop place that only excepts cash. They have a large menu and specials everyday. We had high expectations for Flo's since every time we drove by it was always packed and with 10 cent coffee you can't go wrong??? But boy were we wrong!! Me and my husband both ordered the meat fretta, which on their menu is called "slop" fitting enough because my husband was not even half way into the plate when he noticed what looked like a piece of balled up hair! Upon further inspection it appeared to be a balled up lint ball or some type of string from someone's clothing that just got cooked on the grill, absolutely disgusting! Then they offered to comp our two meals but we got pancakes and biscuits with sausage gravy to go for the kids and when we got home my daughter found a piece of hair in one of the biscuits. Ok so this one's hard for me. My dad stopped by the other day and wanted to grab lunch, and I still had to go into work so we went to Flo's because it's close. It is a cash only establishment and locally owned and operated, which I'm a huge fan of. I'm going to get this out of the way and say the first time I went it was average at best. So pops and I sit at the counter and in front of me are 4 glass cake pans with home made cakes in them and of course the chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate chips is right in front of me!!! I ordered my lunch, 2 eggs over medium and corned beef hash. Pops orders a ham salad sandwich. It didn't take long and the food was good! I had breakfast ‍ and no way I'm trying ham salad sandwich so I took Pop's word it was good. And yes I ordered a piece of cake and the portion was more than generous honestly enough for 2 people, and good thing I can eat for 2!! I used to frequent Flo's quite often as a child, and I mean often. However, the last few times I've been, the food has been worse and worse. Between the lack of flavor, and the temperature. The service is normally alright, the waiting staff are usually very personable and treat you as if they knew you your whole life, which I like. However, this is not enough to make up for the issues with the food. I understand this is a local staple, and that's probably why most people rate it high and eat there often. But I can not suggest Flo's anymore, sadly this place has not given me the nostalgia I was hoping it would. I hope that in the future, as I am willing to try, here again, the food quality improves, and my dish does not feel like it's been sitting out all day and thrown in the microwave. read more

Sunday's they have a breakfast buffet which is rather good for those who are extra hungry. The dinner meals are constantly changing and usually don't disappoint.
