Good food great portions. Sometimes find yourself fighting for the attention of your server due to all the regular customers that come and receive extra attention. Friends plate came with with wrong side but that was taken care of by another member of the wait staff. I got to check and try out the Flo's Farmhouse Cafe this last December . I went with my husband, mother and brother because we were looking for a breakfast spot to try. We found this place on Yelp! We just finished my masters hooding ceremony and wanted to kill time before the main ceremony. This place is totally worth the hype. It definitely has the feel that you are at your country grandmothers house and your about chow down. I was pleasantly surprised by the vibe since this is in Southern California. We got seated quickly and the menu is enormous with so many options. The have options for Breakfast or lunch. The food came out quickly and our server was definitely very attentive! The food portions were so large! I definitely couldn't finish mine! If I was in the riverside area again, I will definitely go visit it! read more

The decor is country with southern hospitality and grandma is in the kitchen doing what she does best, putting love on a plate. Take your time. They don't try to rush you out of this place. Showing love for their customers with smiles and good home style portions of food. The menu is huge! More breakfast, lunch and dinner combinations than you can shake your eating utensils at. Flo said kiss my grits and that's exactly what I did because they have grits! I love grits! You can have potatoes your way, hash browns or country style. Want things prepared a certain way? Tell the waitress and they will whip it up to your liking. Country Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy so delicious you'll go home and slap your Grandma. So much lunch and dinner on the menu that makes it impossible for you to not find something you'll love. Pies, cakes and a very good hot cup of coffee, tea or ice cold milk. Now this is like being right at home. Can I just live here? So much more to say about Flo's but for right now I'll just leave you with the following words of advice, "come and get it"! Visited Flo's on this date around 9am was seated waiter came about half hour later to take our orders we mentioned we had been waiting for half hour he said don't talk to him that way or we would wait another half hour for food. This is a local diner that my husband and I frequent on our mornings off when we don't feel like cooking. Their menu of food items are extensive and you can order lunch/dinner for breakfast. I enjoy their omelette since they're not mixed with flour (ihop) and the country fried steak with biscuits and gravy are heavenly. Any time I have a pregnancy craving, I am at Flo's. Definitely recommend and customer service here is 10/10. read more

Their fries are not your run of the mill fries, they have some kind if crunchy coating that makes them amazing!! My brother, who is a chef in his own right, loves the top notch service and entrees served at this restaurant. I was impressed with the various options available on the senior menu. Most of our party ordered regular dinner entrees, which included salads, and sandwiches. However I took advantage of a breakfast option - eggs benedict, which was delicious!!! This is the 3rd time that when we order food from flo's through one of the delivery apps, they sent us either the wrong order, or part of our order is missing. When we tried calling the restaurant, it took about 5-6 tries to get through, I get it, I know they're busy. By the time the manager picks up the phone, our food has been sitting, and then he tries to blame in on the delivery driver, but after going back and forth with him, he admitted that he messed up our order, and I say "he" because he admitted he's the one that handed the bags to the driver. He offered for us to go back for the right box he forgot to send, but I explained to him that by the time we did that, our food would have been sitting for over a half hour, and the whole eating experience was already ruined. When I asked for a refund, he said no, and to go deal with the delivery service, although again, he acknowledged that he sent the wrong items. Is not the delivery service's fault, and all the we asked if we could go back and take their uneaten food for a refund. He never apologized for the inconvenience neither. Too bad, this place used to be good and actually care for their patrons, but I'm not sure what has changed. We really try to support our local small businesses, but this is one that we will not longer be spending our money on, good luck if you order your food to be delivered, you have been warned! read more

Today was their first day with a brand spanking new mean, and it was amazing! I ordered an omelette (I seriously forgot what it was cuz it put me in a food coma!) The omelette had 4 eggs, spicy sausage, diced ham, regular sausage, bacon,onions, green bell peppers, and a ton of cheese!!! It came with a side of hashbrowns and one pancake (substitute for biscuits and gravy) My hubby had a machaca burrito, shredded beef, onions, hashbrowns, cheese, olives, fresh salsa and a side of sliced avocado. The presentation was great! The service was amazing! The restaurant was clean and welcoming. We were greeted and seated quickly. Acknowledged by the server right away. The food was OMG! **CUSTOMERS BEWARE** We went to this café for the first time after Sunday church service and I asked to talk to the manager on site after our meal. Our server was a little concern when I asked to the manager, I told her it was ok. When Omar the manager (and I believe one of the owners) came over I told him the following. "Hi Omar, I'm sure if you are called over it's to take in a complaint, I called you over for the complete opposite. It's our first time here and we noticed how attentive your staff have been since we sat down. Everyone is a team player and more than one person came to check on us and asked if we needed anything else. The food was brought out in a timely manner and it was delicious." I finished with "whatever you are doing with your team keep on doing, they are all great people wanting to help everyone have a good experience in this restaurant." soooooo, i've been living in riverside quite a while. an i've seen this place. an always wanted to try it. i've even picked up orders here for work. am always eyeballed there amazing desert fridge! well, today my son wanted to eat here for his birthday:) let me tell you!!!! the food is awesome!!!! huge portions. an just delish! everything was. but the best part... which is rare to find these days. was the stellar,outgoing,friendly an attentive customer service. i didn't get the waitresses name. but she was wonderful. as well as the rest of the staff. a+. we will definitely be returning to try the rest of the big menu& breakfast! don't forget to get a slice of pie or cake! i got the black forest.. really, really good! read more

Excellent food and excellent service! We only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated and our server was very polite. They serve great portion sizes that will fill you up. I got the cinnamon roll french toast and my dad got the Hugo's Omelette. They were both very flavorful and satisfying. I liked that my orange juice came in a mason jar as well, nice touch. Came here early on a weekday morning with one of the littles after dropping off her sister at school for one of our one on one dates. There was about 3 homeless people outside the restaurant when we went in. Hostess sat us right away and was promptly given my coffee. I asked if I could use the yelp check in soda freebie for the coffee and they were fine with it.Server came by and took our order; two porkchops with over medium eggs and biscuits and gravy breakfast for me and a kid's cereal and fruit for the little. It's one of those places that you walk into seeing the out dated decor but just getting that feeling that you know this place is gonna be delicious and it was. I really liked this place. Food it's great but after today I'm not coming back ever again. Let me explain you: my wife went for breakfast this morning (04/13/21) when a home potato got stuck in her troth leading her to shock. When help was asked the waitress literary said "don't touch her" (should that be considered an infer for "let her die"?). Maybe she didn't how to properly use the Heimlich maneuver but she didn't even call 911. Minutes passed and no one did anything. My wife was shocking, feeling her life go away, and the only thing they did was to stare at her. After a couple of minutes the potato was expelled out of her troth, and it wasn't thanks to them (any employee). I can't believe that employees of a restaurant aren't trained to properly act in this kind of situation. If they don't know how to help they shall know that 911 phone call it's a must in this kind of situation. I'll say it again: I like their food but I'm not definitely coming back to a place where I don't feel safe. read more

Sad news today! It has been confirmed that they are now using frozen chicken fried steak and will no longer be hand battering the chicken fried steak. I noticed it a couple weeks back when they opened back up from the COVID shutdown. However, I ordered the chicken fried steak again today 6/15/2020 and it looked different again. Ask the waiter and he went in the back and confirmed my suspicions and said they are now using frozen prefabricated CFS. This is truly a sad day since I judged ALL chicken fried steak by comparing them to Flo's. I still give them 3 stars because the biscuits and gravy are still top notch. read more

This is the perfect mom and pop cafe. Stumbled upon this place while in Riverside visiting my son at college. We went around 1pm and we all got what we wanted. Hubby had breakfast, son had lunch and I had dinner. The breakfast was great. My son said the philly cheesesteak sandwich was amazing. The service was great and the food was out within 10 minutes of us ordering. We loved the fact that when you order coffee they leave the carafe at your table to refill as needed. read more

The service at the Riverside location was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, if the food isn't good, it doesn't matter how friendly everyone is. Flo's shows a four star rating so we decided to try it for breakfast. 1.) The coffee was pretty good. 2.) Eggs were ordered over medium. Too bad, you're getting them over easy with broken yolks. 3.) The hash browns weren't edible. You'd think someone would wonder why neither of us ate the hash browns. They were cooked in cheap restaurant grease with some kind of weird seasoning. Or maybe that was just the flavor the grease imparted. 4.) The biscuits were pretty good and the gravy was OK. It may have been better if it wasn't room temp. 5.) The chicken fried steak wasn't bad but it had obviously been sitting in the window waiting to be served for some time. It was served warm, not hot. I feel a little bad for these guys because they were trying to do a good job. It just wasn't working and in the restaurant business you only get one chance to win over a new customer and they blew it. We won't be back. read more

The portions are big and they are a fairly priced place. My guy and I ordered the stuffed French toast with whipped cream and strawberries on the side. The problem is that the french toast tasted like bacon, as if it was made in the same pan. I took about 3 bites before I just finally asked my guy if his tasted the same. It did. Kind of a waste of money at that point as it wasn't enjoyable or cooked correctly. I don't want french toast that tastes like meat. I didn't send it back because I don't trust cooks so we just paid and never returned for breakfast again. read more
