Had the most humiliating experience today. Took my elderly mother out to an early lunch after her Dr. appointment. My mom ordered a breakfast that came with toast. The toast came out with butter already on the bread. Unfortunately this is not a way my mother could eat it for health reasons. We asked our server Terry, if we could possibly get bread with no butter and her response was completely unprofessional. She yelled at my mother (who had visible heart monitors hooked up to her) Saying she was wasting food and should be more considerate. Speaking in a way as if my mother was a child. My stomach fell to the floor. I was amazed at this treatment and Ill never forget the look on my moms face. I am not one for making scenes so we got up, paid for our food, and left. I'm a vegan, and I was able to enjoy a breakfast burrito with hashbrowns, mushrooms, bell peppers, and other veggies at Flo's No 2. The server double-checked with me when I said no eggs, no meat, and no butter, which made me think that perhaps no one had ever ordered a breakfast burrito without eggs or meat before. my husband and I have been coming to Flo's #2 every week for over 2 years. The restaurant is always clean and well-staffed. Music is at a nice volume to create a welcoming environment. The food is terrific and consistent. It comes out quickly - hot and tasty. Their pancakes are the best! The omelettes are delicious with the homemade salsa as an added bonus. Flo's staff is friendly and helpful. We come on Wednesdays so we're served by Jaelah (the hostess//table-setter), Moses (drink service), and Brittany (waitress extraordinaire). We were in Chino on bussiness and our stomachs needed some attention. I was seriously underestimating this place. I was driving and the Mister had Yelp Duties. First off I zoomed right by. Once we found it, I thought we were doomed. I even asked him..."are you sure this place is okay?" Well this is one place Im glad I didn't let the looks put me in reverse. The outdated diner was everything one could ask for in a breakfast place and more. This place is old. Real old. The recipes are old and well the locals have been eating here for YEARS. That means something, right? Indoor and outdoor eating. Which means my 4 legged buddy could of sat outside. But it was raining so she stayed in the car. I had an bacon omlette with cheese and some very buttery sourdough toast with homemade jam. The omlette had American cheese on top. Instead of the traditional shredded cheddar cheese most omlettes have. It was packed with bacon. Not soggy bacon but crispy bacon. Super yummy. It came with hash browns but Im not big on potatoes. I know whats wrong with me? The mister had country chicken fried chicken. Think country fried steak but made with fried chicken. The flat tenderized chicken breast was breaded and fried in a pan. It wasn't very crispy but it you could tell it was homemade. Came with bisquits and gravy and eggs any style. He said it was good. Buuuuut probably would of preferred the country fried steak. But for me #2 has always been better as far as setting my palate into an orgasmic overload. This is a nice little breakfast spot. Place is full of a lot local loyal customers so its cool to the staff interact with them in such familiar ways. Whether it's been male or female waitress/waiter staff here has always been friendly and patient here with us. Portions aren't bad either, pancakes here are pretty big. Each day breakfast and lunch specials are posted throughout. The specials and regular items are all very reasonably priced. Upon being seated, an employee is not far beyond to take your beverage order. We typically have coffee, which is served in an old school-style insulated carafe. This keeps refills easy to obtain right at the table. During this visit, I ordered the cinnamon roll fresh toast, which was one of the daily specials. This item came with eggs and ham (or bacon). This item was the perfect match of sugar and cholesterol to start my day. My much smarter partner in food adventures (wife) wife went with the turkey sausage, eggs, and wheat toast. When the food came out, our waitress put the first plate down. Then, to my surprise, part 2 of my order was placed down in front of me. TWO FULL PLATES?! One plate had the country fried steak so large it took up all the space on the plate. The second plate was completely covered with the eggs, biscuits and hash browns smothered in gravy. I was only able to finish half of it and took the rest home. Now for the taste, it was pretty good. However, I'm used to crispy country fried steak. This was on the soggier side. It's located on Riverside Drive in Chino and they have small parking in my opinion, so be prepared to wait. We arrived and there was a small wait and then they sat us inside (Before the mandate changed to outside). They also had patio seating as well as an option at the time. Since this was my first time coming to Flo's, I had a huge appetite, I asked our server,what they would recommend. She recommended "Paul's Platter" and that it was more than enough. It comes with: your choice of egg style, ham steak, hash browns, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 biscuits w/country gravy and 2 pancakes. We waited for a bit and our orders arrived. I could smell that the my order was prepared fresh and that is was hot. My overall plate was more than satisfactory and I especially enjoyed the biscuits w/country gravy. The biscuits were fresh and the country gravy was creamy. My overall experience was great and the customer service was good. In my personal opinion, I would recommend Flo's Diner if you want to try some good Breakfast. Next time, I come back, I would like to try their other items on the menu. read more

I recently moved to this area so I'm still trying to find all the best gems in the city in regard when it comes to breakfast spots. Seeing it's always packed I thought this place must be really good. Now there is pandemic going on so I wanted to order via phone and pick up the order. Not the case the phone was busy forever so we decided to go in and place the order of in person. We arrive and they direct us to the back door. They have no tarps or seating for the people ordering to go. Your literally standing in the sun. They seem so unorganized. I ordered sausage patties and eggs. Now this is we're it gets crazy. Their sausage is not like any other establishment sausage patties. This was like a hamburger size patty with absolute no flavor. Really dissapiinted.... I bought my brothers and SIL a gift card for christmas. It's been nothing but problems using them. Twice the system was down and couldn't use it, 2 other times had to wait forever because the manager has to process it. 1 time couldn't use because the manager wasnt in.
