It was OK. I had the blue frozen drink that came with the souvenir glass and it wasn't very good. I also had the Baja fish tacos knowing they were made with flour tortillas but the tortillas were not even warmed up so I didn't really like them. The Parmesan baked Rockefeller oysters were very good. The stuffed flounder was good for the for the first couple bites but started tasted funky after the third bite or so. The shrimp and bacon Mac and cheese was the best thing on the menu that we tried hands down. My baby had the corn dog and she didn't like it either lol. The fries were good though!! Our server was really good, his name was Prince and the hostesses were a little snobby. We initially asked to sit outside and the hostess took us to these blue picnic tables- granted I was with my in-laws in their late 60s so we then asked if we can sit inside instead so we can have seating with backs. And then the hostess got on her little microphone and said we wanted seats with backs and rolled her eyes while saying it, she didn't think I saw her but that was just rude. We met family there for lunch. There were 4 adults and 2 children. We were seated promptly and our server Ryan came right over. We ordered a couple of appetizers. Baked oysters and spinach dip. Appetizers were wonderful. Our entree that we shared was a platter with shrimp fixed several different ways and it was amazing !!! The other couple got the same thing and they loved it too. We got Mac and cheese and some fried shrimp for children and they cleaned it up !! Our server Ryan was awesome !! This place also has a playground for kids and it's even got a beach right off the deck !! Our party of 17 went here after a Blue Angels airshow. The entryway is really small (not wide) for the amount of people who walk thru this place. At least, on this day, it was crazy-busy. We were greeted and seated almost immediately at two huge tables. The long tables could accommodate probably 16 people. Amazingly, the service was quick and the food was delicious. Flounder's was one of our favorite meals of the trip, and we would absolutely return. As a parent, one of the best parts was being able to sit at our table and keep an eye on my daughter while she played on the playground. It made for a much more relaxing dining experience, and she had a blast. The atmosphere was fun, lively, and exactly what you're looking for when you're on vacation at the beach. The food was excellent as well. We had the red snapper, and everything was fresh and flavorful. We did have an issue with one of our meals, but our server handled it perfectly. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but great service is how a restaurant responds, and they took care of it quickly and professionally. And whatever you do, save room for the key lime pie. It was absolutely delicious and one of the best desserts we had during our trip. Between the great food, family-friendly atmosphere, excellent service, and beach-town vibes, Flounder's is an easy five stars from us. My friends suggested this place for Brunch and it was amazing! The brunch choices were quite nice and the servings are BIG!! The Brunch listings (available from 10-2) include homemade hash brown, New Orleans beignets and fresh fruit. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food provided. I ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes and Bacon Benedict. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly and sat on a fried green tomato, with applewood smoked bacon, a toasted English muffin and topped with a rich Hollandaise sauce. It was a hearty and full-filling meal. I added a Bloody Mary to the meal as it was a long wedding party weekend. It was garnished with beans, olives, lemon, lime and a salted rim. The restaurant is huge and has a lot of outdoor covered ceilings (with fans) and umbrella tables as well. We've been here a few times in the last month or two. Always sat out on the deck, always great service and pretty good food. Today- not so much. We sat inside because of the heat. Brad was our server. The drinks ( the ones in the fancy glasses) came right away. The seafood nachos took 25 minutes. And definitely was not worth the wait. First- it was a hot mess. Chips, over loaded with lettuce, jalapeño's banana peppers - the shrimp had their poop tracks still intact. And the fish was mush. The cheese was all at the bottom. Brad walked by a few times mumbling something we couldn't understand- we just nodded. When the bill came, he stood there till we added the tip. And when we asked for clean glasses to take home- he brought us dirty ones- and didn't wrap them. Overall- not a pleasant experience. Too bad. Bamboo chopsticks. Perfection. One of the best things I have ever eaten. I will explain. This is a highly intellectually thought out dish if it was intentional. A dish of the highest quality in the world of gastronomics. Beets are highly nutritious, packed with essential vitamins, minerals, and plant compounds, many of which have medicinal properties. HOWEVER, Eating Beets raw equates to a superfood because of their rich nutritional profile, as many of you know, they can also lower blood pressure & enhance athletic performance. The artfully cut cucumber is super hydrating, the perfect two RAW INGREDIENTS beachside. Super fresh & cut with precision, "Yellowtail Hamachi Sashimi" with RAW beet, RAW cucumber, PICKLED ginger & wasabi. A perfect combination made in the heavens OuiOui. Looking for a good seafood spot on the water, look no further this is it! They are located on the bay, so the kids can play in the water with no waves and you can sip drinks by the bar. They have volleyball courts, corn hole and plenty of bars. We ordered the diesel fuel and it's not for the weak. That drink is so strong we could have shared one, I didn't finish mine and we were there for 3 hours. But it was tasty! The wait for a table wasn't long and they were kind and patient with us because we had kids running in and out playing and eating. We shared some sushi, tsunami and dragon skin rolls, they were amazing! So tasty and fresh! Thankfully we shared the fried plate because it was a lot of food!
